very expensive for a cheap looking piece

I sent mine back. was very disappointed. I expected to see a statue shaded exactly like the one in the picture, with a nice gloss. It was a solid dull cream color, no shading, no detail, just a blank. I had actually ordered two, that is how much the picture moved me, one for my sister and the other for me. Upon arrival, I opened the box, it was securely packaged, and was so let down. I was certainly glad I had not directly sent it to her, I would have been very embarrassed. Wasn't worth the price at all.

The Wings of an Angel

Love this statue because of the unique pose and the long detail wings. I have it on my enclosed patio and have received many compliments.

Wings detached

Product beautiful, attached wings and was carrying by base to place on shelf. The nut that screw attaches to broke off and wings fell off breaking them. I glued the nut back in and wings together and back on but is obvious there is damage. Had thrown packaging away so unable to return. Wings are not sturdy could break off at any moment.

Beautiful!

This statue is beautifully crafted. It was much larger and more detailed than I had anticipated. There is a note about each piece being hand crafted by their artisans and it shows a lot of love and care was put into it's creation. I have one other piece from Toscano, a cherub I keep in my garden, and this one will go nicely beside it. I was honestly hoping it was smaller so I could keep it around the house, but maybe someday when we have more living space we can bring it in to admire it all the time. The statue comes with directions for winter care so if you're not able to bring it indoors for the winter, I highly recommend following their instructions. Great piece, well worth the cost.

A beautiful angel

I just love how graceful this beautiful statue looks. I planned to put this in our garden this spring and currently she is in the family room next to the fireplace. I've had several comments made about how beautiful this angel is. This was packaged very well to protect it during shipping. The wings need to be attached with an included bolt, which was fairly simple to do. I may need to find a different angel for the garden, because I really like having her inside.

This is a very high quality memorial statue or perhaps for a garden decoration. It is solidly constructed and requires minor assembly for the wings. It is fairly large so if you are going to use it in a garden it would have to be one with the room to adequately display this piece. Overall this is an attractive statue which is well put together.

A beautiful statue/memorial at a premium price.

I find that a statue of this type creates an interesting focal point in a garden. This is a reasonable size statue that appears excactly as depicted in the product photograph with the correct dimensions given. It arrives well boxed, protected in thick polystyrene, in two parts. The wings require attaching with the bolt provided, which is easy to do, although there is a bolt visible if looking directly from above. The appearance is that of slightly weathered stone, although it is made of resin and so much lighter than expected, which makes it very easy to move. There is a lot of detail in the wing feathers. I understand from the accompanying product description that it might have been designed as a memorial, perhaps for a favourite pet. I guess this might explain the premium price. It's a nice statute piece, and if one is looking for such a memorial then you might not be put off by the price label. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but frankly at the advertised price I would say that if one is looking for a garden statute for purely aesthetic purposes there are less pricey pieces to be found.

Wonderful

This is a very attractive piece, both melancholy but quite uplifting its mood. It is well built and the hand finishing shows, the only slight complaint being the small gap where the wings affix however I am sure this will become less noticeable with age. It definitely feels built to last and is very steady on its base. This statue will look excellent as focal point near pots in a smallish garden or perhaps placed amongst shrubbery or trees as a point of interest in larger ones.

Beautiful

This is a lovely garden ornament, and has been complimented by all our visitors. It's a bit bigger than I had expected and I must admit it would look better in a larger garden than ours but I like it. It's been in the garden in all weathers and still looks great. You have to attach the wings on yourself but that was easy enough and they are nice and secure.
