The ghosts are not blue whatsoever. They are very much a distinct blanket sheet white.

This is a gift for Christmas so I have not opened the box but the previous items I've bought from this brand have been great.

Broken

Some ghosts were dirty and one was broken off

not really as pictured

I have purchased a few Halloween decorations from Department 56 and loved them all. This item not so much. The first issue is that most of the ghosts on the tree are positioned around the back where the cord is and they are not moveable as the wiring is glued in. I could live with that but in the photo the ghosts have a subdued bluish glow and that is not the case on the real thing. The lighting is a sterile operating room white, which does not match with the rest of the tree decor or Department 56's other Halloween houses etc. and certainly doesn't exude a "Halloween feel" at all. We put this item in between two other Halloween houses we have and it just didn't go - the harsh light ruined the effect. Over all I really wanted to like this light - I even tried to dull the color down by painting the ghosts, but the plastic wouldn't take paint without streaking. This item ended up in the trash.

Product defective

Company sent order the product was defective only one ghost worked! So they sent a replacement and that one was defective also one of the ghosts was broken wire sticking out and would not work! I would not recommend buying from this seller!

Faulty wiring

The wiring is faulty and doesn’t light up. I’ve got a lot of department 56 items so I was really disappointed when it didn’t work. I just didn’t realise until i pulled it out at Halloween.
