Perfect hose and so easy to install even I could do it!
It was with much angst and trepidation that I finally admitted it was time for a new hose for my shower head. And it took my bravery on my part to research and order the appropriate part. Voila! I did it! Why it took so long to bite the bullet is a question for another time. Believe me, however, when I tell you ANYONE can do this. It took practically zero time to order, less than two days to receive and installation was one handed and a complete success. What unadulterated joy to stand under the shower and feel the full benefits of my lovely Delta shower head now that half the water was no longer flowing down the wall but hitting me with a terrific and way too long missed pressure. Some said in reviews the hose was stiff. This is not stiff. Don't be intimidated. Don't wonder if you have to hire someone to do it. You CAN do it. It was easy, painless and in the end, wonderful!

Works but.....
I got this to replace. Another hose from my shower that has lasted about 5 years, but finally gave out. Overall this host seems to be pretty good quality. The only reason for deducting one star is because the couplers on it are slightly too big to fit into. The slide bar holder which allows? The shower nozzle to be raised higher and lower for my kids. If it was maybe a 1/8" smaller diameter, it would have fit Perfect. As it is, it sometimes falls out sometimes and heavy as my shower head is, it makes a huge crash when it lands.

Perfect replacement for Delta 51704 shower
I have a Delta hand-held shower fixture in my shower (model 51704). The fixture is eight years old and the connector hose that came with it started to come apart. The hose turned out not to be metal as I thought but was a vinyl hose covered with a plastic coil wrap that looked like metal but wasn't. This replacement hose is the same length as the original (69") and I like it a lot better than the original. I should have replaced it years ago and made my life easier. This replacement hose is completely made out of metal (stainless steel) and is more flexible than the original hose. The connector ends fit the hand-held shower and the shower head perfectly. Technically, you're supposed to put Teflon tape on the screw head to prevent leaks but I just screwed this on and it's fine. There weren't any leaks even without the tape. Also, I have a brushed nickel finish on my hand held shower. This is listed as being a chrome/stainless steel for the color but when I'm looking at it in my shower, the difference in finishes is so negligible. I really can't see a difference and it matches fine.

Not flexible as i thought
I was looking for a flexible hose and found this. This hose is not flexible but doesn't twist as much like my original hose. The ends are metal. I am too lazy to return/exchange so I kept it.

This replacement is an improvement over the original hose, which was very stiff. I am very happy with it.

Great while it works, but expect failure well before warranty expires if you use frequently.
If you buy this for washing small children and/or pets on a daily basis, prepare to replace in as little as 4 months. I bought this on April 18, 2016, it arrived on April 20, and I installed it the same day. I use this daily for washing my dogs' paws each time they go out to my backyard to do their business (back yard is all dirt), which is twice a day for 2 dogs. In addition, I bathe one dog 1x/week and the other 1x/2~3 weeks. So as you can see, I use it heavily on a daily basis. If you have kids, this could very well be you also. The problem is that the metal shell at the base of the cone on the hand held end completely split across the hose, exposing the rubber tube underneath. What made this worse is that the casing had a sharp edge and cut into the tube as I was trying to use it (before deciding what to do, i.e. get warranty support, get new one, etc.). Now I've gone thru 2 generics and this Delta, and NONE of them seem to hold up for more than 3~4 months. After the previous two, I've become much more careful about using these, but they just don't seem to last. I'll try another brand while I try to get Delta to hold up their end of the warranty. *** Update October 31, 2017 *** Ok, at least Delta's warranty is good, so I'm going to add one star. I had forgotten that it has a lifetime warranty. I'm just going to keep two of these on hand from now on. When one fails, at least I can request Delta to replace it. However, I suspect that if I do it too many times, then eventually they may just refund my money since that would be more cost effective than replacing it 2~3 times a year.

So much better than the hose that came with my showerhead
I originally bought a Delta showerhead, and the hose it came with was rubber and plastic, and eventually both the hose and the screw fitting broke. This hose is what I wish I had all along! The stainless is so much more durable, and the hose is just slightly longer than my original--perfect.

Good quality, worked it's magic
My hose that was more than 10 years old, just gave suddenly, all the water started to leak out never reaching the shower head. The hoses seem to be standard, as long as the 2 ends match the ones you have, the hose will be o.k. we replaced it without the plumber and the problem is gone.
