The Most Beautiful Standing Tub Faucet I Have Ever Seen

I have seen those horror movies where the girl sits and enjoys her time in the bath tub, in her rustic yet huge countryside home. The tub sits in the middle of the room, not a care in the world. And usually there a tall, floor-mounted tub faucet that accompanies it. It's a nice scene to watch, but not at all practical for over 90% of Americans, especially for us city-dwellers, and especially not for me since I now live in a rent apartment during this pandemic. However, my balcony does have a water line, so I hooked it up there to test it out. First of all, this is the most beautiful faucet I have ever had, period. This is my very first standing faucet, so I can't compare it to any other standing faucets, but I can compare it to the kitchen and bathroom faucets I have had the privilege to test and review. It looks similar to another Delta faucet I am using right now, model 25775-SSMPU, Amazon product ID B08VW6BKQ5, in the spout design, and the fit and finish, and how it's super easy to wipe down, especially since I was fortunate enough to receive the stainless version, which I always prefer over chrome or any shiny finish. They may look nice in the advertise photos, but once you have them, you don't want to have to wipe them down every time you use it. The stainless version dulls the finish, which allows the water spots to blend it very well, so I only do a simple wipe down every few days, and a deeper clean every several weeks. So design is a mix of angles and curves, but in the end it looks very nice, yet practical. The handles are sturdy and feel good in the hand when you operate them - there's a solid and enjoyable movement that you know it's a quality faucet. Quite simply, there has not yet been a Delta faucet that has disappointed me in terms of quality and functionality. There are some that I wouldn't buy based on looks, but I will always trust the brand. I also like the included showerhead, which looks very stylish and a bit futuristic. It's a very welcome addition, for not only cleaning your body while sitting in the tub, but to also help you clean the more sensitive and harder to reach nooks and crannies of your body. One thing to note, as I'm not familiar with all those free standing tubs, how they differ in height, but that's the one thing this faucet cannot vary. The clearance is just under 40 inches, and it would be awesome. especially for a faucet this price. if you can adjust the height a little. But other than that, I love everything about this faucet. and I definitely recommend it if you want to relive some of your favorite horror movie scenes, especially with Halloween just around the corner. At least if you gotta go down, you can go cleaned and relaxed.

Can I Give it 6 Stars?

When we were remodeling our bathroom, we decided on a freestanding tub. There are certainly less expensive options than a floor-mount faucet and even floor-mounts that are less expensive than this one. But the Delta Single Handle Tub Filler is the nicest faucet I have ever laid eyes on. This is 100% worth the splurge as it really gives your bathroom a sense of style and class. I mean, I never thought I would be in love with a faucet but I am absolutely am. This is such high quality that it is obvious to anyone. So worth the money.

Undeniably Worth Every Penny

Delta is a name that every homeowner knows, when it comes to bath and shower fixtures. It's a name that my family has trusted for decades. I had high expectations of this product, and they were more than met. It wasn't suited for our master bathroom, but we had my Wife's friend's father (plumber for 30+ years) install it for us in our guest bathroom. It's splendid. Looks beautiful, and makes a real statement. I would have been content with just the aesthetics, but I was actually impressed with the function, as well. I'm not an engineer, so I can't pretend to understand the mechanics behind how they managed to create a more effective flow from the handheld shower head. But there's a noticeable difference in the flow you get from this one, compared to others. The end result is a better, more relaxing, luxurious clean. I typically wouldn't recommend some fixtures priced at this level, simply because they're more form than function. But this is everything that you could want in a tub filler with a handheld shower attachment.

Over the top fabulous....

The media could not be loaded. This tub filler from Delta is over the top both literally and figuratively. Literally, it's a floor-mounted faucet (filler) for fancy, freestanding tubs with a spout that comes over the top edge of the tub. This piece is solid. It is heavy. It is fancy. It is good looking. It is an incredible work of plumbing design and manufacture. And it is expensive. Thus, figuratively, it's over the top as well as literally. A few observations... First, this attaches to the floor--hopefully right down to joists like a newel post if you're going to leave it exposed in the open by your tub. You can't risk someone falling and grabbing the top of this for support without having it solid as a rock in its attachment at the base. The base of this is covered by a stainless shroud. Underneath the shroud is a solid block of stainless metal with four corner holes through which stainless studs from below must pass. You will need this (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0995L731L) tub filler rough-in valve to mount this to the floor. Second, this is a beautiful piece. It's just beautiful. I've never seen the like. But you need a tub that can support it, and again I'm speaking both literally and figuratively. No common tub should be matched to this exquisiste filler. Finally, the H2OKinetic hand shower is for use in the tub. If you've not seen the H2OKinetic system at work, go onto the Delta site and look for a video. it puts out an amazing spray that's unique in the bathroom plumbing world. Delta's quality is well-known and their warranty is lifetime and pretty much bulletproof. If you have the tub and bathroom that can handle this piece of plumbing, you can be sure of years and even decades of faithful service.
