Replacement for the Delta Monitor 1400 Series

Decent replacement for the Delta Monitor 1400 series thats often installed by most builders. This handle fits the Delta RP19804 Cartridge Assembly. I included photos of both the old handle, and the new replacement. It's not really a kit. It's just the handle and a set screw, but very easy to install. You do have to slide the existing sleeve forward a little bit to close the gap that's left after installing this new handle. There's still a very small Gap left even after sliding the sleeve forward, hence the reason I'm only giving this four stars. Just a small cosmetic issue as you can see in the photo, but probably wouldn't bother most people. They do sell a spacer to get rid of this slight Gap. It's just a little plastic piece that goes on the inside of the Chrome sleeve before putting the sleeve back on. It's "Delta Faucet RP29569 Spacer". This entire project is a very simple upgrade. Literally takes about 5 minutes total. The set screw takes a 3/32 allen wrench. They don't list the size on the instructions, so I figured I could save you from fumbling around trying the different sized Allen wrenches. Another tip would be to add some "anti-seize lubricant" on the thread of the set screw. Set screws on shower handles are notorious for corroding and getting stuck years later if you need to remove the handle.

Replaced the ugly plastic knob!

It works well to replace that ugly clear Plastic knob on the old Delta 642 shower mixer. I do have to retighten the set screw periodically - it will loosen a little over time, but it does the job and looks so much nicer.

Good replacement part

Exact replacement part for my shower valve. This was a new part with the accessory package. Nothing was missing only the package was damaged. Saved some money buying it like this. I recommend it to anyone needing this handle.

It works

The handle on our Delta shower has been loose for years, and I couldn't tighten it. This was a great replacement. looked exactly like the original and it is now tight!

Perfect replacement for those standard (ugly) plastic faucet knobs!

Fits perfectly on my 12 year old Delta ASSE1016 13/14 valve assembly, no more unsightly contractor grade plastic knob! The only thing I had to do besides remove the old knob and install this handle was slide the already-installed metal trim sleeve out a little more (maybe 1/2") because this handle covers less of the valve than the original knob. Which meant cleaning deposits and several years of crud off the sleeve, but that took all of 5 minutes and it looks fantastic now. What an aesthetic upgrade for $16!!

Great update for the "crystal ball"

Metal handle, set screw, and allen key included. Product came in original blister package. Installed in one minute. Tools needed were a small pick and a phillips screwdriver to remove old faucet handle. Handle lines up with the hot/cold sweep indicators on the wall plate perfectly. Note: no spacer is included for the faucet cover. However, i simply pulled the cover a bit further out to sit flush with the handle. There is an o ring under the cover that secures it. A good retrofit piece to remove the old plastic ball and at half the price that home depot sells their replacement handles.

WARNING: Does not fit diamond shaped stem/finger

Before buying, make sure you remove your existing knob to see if the stem/finger it slides onto is rectangular or diamond-shaped. Mine was the latter so the new one would not fit. It would be good if the seller would update the product description to include this key bit of info in the description to save the customer the time and hassle of going through the whole process of searching it up, ordering, and trying to install, only to have to return it. The handle itself is very nice and good quality. . .really disappointed it didn't fit. Now to try and find one that's compatible with the diamond stem. . .hoping such a handle exists!

Delta Monitor bath handle

This worked as a perfect replacement for my 20 yo Delta Monitor Bath Faucet handle. The old handle had a stripped set screw and was a PITA to remove. This was a perfect replacement.
