SHOWER DIVERTER REPLACEMENT.
As I was in a very tight time schedule, this provider delivered this quicker than other suppliers. I paid a few bucks more for the part but I got the piece in time to make the repair. The part was exactly like the OEM and was of good quality (of course, time will tell). I only wished the package came with replacement springs.

started leaking after less than a year
Must be the Chinese version of Delta-after carefully installing this to replace a shower fixture not even a year ago-it just started leaking like the original, which had probably been in there for many years! this one didn't last a year and i will have to replace it. I was told by professional plumbers-there are 2 lines of plumbing fixtures for the name brands-the 2nd-string Chinese fixtures, and the genuine American-made fixtures. now I am tending to believe that may be true, and this is not the first plumbing fixture I've installed that failed way too soon.

Short Lived non-drip
Yes, I was doubtful there would be any difference from the former Brasscraft brand I had in my scald guard shower/tub, but there is. The former had an inherent jiggle in it, and the inside handle would always have a small amount of moisture in it. That's no mention it starting to drip which I why I sought out a quality part. I didn't want to pay what I did for this Delta part, I'm as cheap as the next cheap seeker, but by golly with this part in place the faucet turns and feels like a brand new unit. No play, no mist inside the knob, no leaks, smooth as butter. I applied a hare of some silicone lubricant on the rubber seats, the o-ring of the stem unit, and the threads of the ring that holds it all in place. Update, as of May the spout is dripping again. The stem unit itself seems okay though, no moisture coming into the handle. This only came with the seats/washers but no new springs. It might be that, it be the seats, it might be ....... blah blah blah. You know how that goes ? It just might be the moon, for all we know ..... that's how it goes when looking for "the cause". Even "if" it's "fixed", two days later it just "might" return, later it seems guaranteed to return. So what's the point ? Fixing stuff never fixes anything, as the "fix" can't fix the need for more fixing, it just keeps the whole charade going. Fix the very need for fixing in the first place, otherwise it's all just candles in the wind.

Worth the money
I have a 35 year old house, living here 33 year and the shower is still the original Delta single handle anti-scald type. I have replaced the guts at least 5 or 6 times. The first few were Delta brand years ago through Home Depot. Then they could not be found so I bought generic brands at half the price. The last one I bought started leaking about 3 weeks after I replaced it. The Delta brand is twice the money but is going on a month and operates like it is oiled and so far not a drop.

I fortunately found this item while looking at reviews of another item I was going to [incorrectly] purchase. This is reasonably priced, OEM, and exactly what I needed for my Delta shower faucet. It's possible I only needed to replace the 'seats' and springs -- as both were damaged and 'worn' when I removed them... But, since I was taking all that apart, I just wanted to redo it all (including a new handle). I applied some plumbers grease to the seals on the stem and WOW this thing turns with 1 finger (whereas the old unit was inprecise and hard to turn). The only thing that's kind of a let down is that this unit does NOT come with the springs. Yes, it does come with new seats... but why not the springs? I bought RP4993 along with this just to get the springs. So, yep, I had left over seats... which I then used to replace the seats in my basement stationary tub!
