Does a good job, but....
The aerator works fine. It lets through a good amount of water which lets you wash, rinse and clean well. The only drawback, it squirts a little to the side and not straight down.

Perfect replacement for our Delta faucet. . .
After having some issues with sand getting into our water supply and clogging up everything in the house (what a pain in the you-know-what that was), I needed to find a new aerator for our 583LF-WF Delta Classic Single-Handled bathroom faucet. I tried cleaning out the old aerator, but that sand penetrated into areas of the aerator that I wasn't able to get at, so I had no choice but to look for a new one. Thankfully, I saved the faucet manual and found the exact part number (RP19574) for the aerator. I then did a search on Amazon, and this was the first to come up. Since some people said this didn't work with their Delta faucets or that what they received didn't look like the photo on the product page, I had some doubts about ordering this. It looked just like the old aerator on our faucet, but looks alone can be deceiving, especially when just one photo is displayed on the product page. Being that the number listed on the product page matched the part number in my manual, I ordered it. Glad I did. . . This new aerator is almost an exact match to the old one. The only difference is that the outer circumference of the screen insert is white vs. green. This is simply just an unseen cosmetic issue that doesn't affect the fit nor flow of the water. I took some photos so you can see the different parts of the aerator and how it compares to the old one. (In photos where I show both the old and new aerators side by side, the new one is on the left and the old one is on the right.) I'm happy. . .no more plugged up and dysfunctional aerator on my bathroom faucet, and it looks and performs exactly as the old one did. I didn't need any special Teflon or vinyl plumbers tape either. I simply screwed it in and that was that--no leaks. If you need a new aerator for your Delta faucet and the part number is RP19574 (check your manual, if you still have it), this should work. For those who said this aerator didn't work, I am assuming they didn't know the correct part number for their faucet. . .and simply guessed. Since this does what it is suppose to do and is practically an exact match to the old aerator, I must give this five stars.

researched for size of this aerator with my model # from Delta.
Aerator fits into faucet opening but will not thread in. I have no Idea why this aerator will not work with my Delta Faucet. I ordered by model number. This faucet is discontinued as far as I can tell, so I cant compare my aerator at any store. Its aggravating, that something so simple is so difficult to replace.

This thing is costing me thousands.
The Aerator is real nice, and probably a better design than the original. But you have to hear this... My old one was stuck on there, as they often get with age. I took a pair of pliers to it, because I wasn't worried about the finish on the old one since I had this new one to replace it anyway. It didn't seem to be coming loose, so I worked it back and forth a bit. I quickly realized that instead of the threads coming loose, I had loosened the solder joint on the brass fitting that this Aerator screws into. So I took the faucet apart to see if I could sweat the brass fitting back on the copper tube. Unfortunately, because I'm an idiot not a plumber, I forgot to turn the water off when I took the handle apart and I had water flying everywhere pretty quick. Silly me. So an hours worth of cleaning water up later, I'm back on track and now have the faucet out and the entire contents of the cabinet spread across the hallway floor. I find out that this is basically a fatal problem for the faucet, and really shouldn't be fixed. So, of course, I try to fix it anyway and end up heating the main brass body (where the faucet hot and cold seals and springs reside) to the point where the two main water inlet tubes' solder joints melt and come loose. No big deal, I'll just make sure I solder them in and add a little extra solder as well. So I grab the solder marked lead free, and make a holy mess of the whole thing for a couple hours. By the time I've finally hacked this thing back together, I look at the solder again and realize that I've used lead free Acid Core solder, not just lead free solder. That probably isn't good, so I abandon the whole thing and decide to go buy a replacement faucet instead. For not much more money, you can buy a stainless faucet instead of chrome, so now I'm shopping for fancy faucets because the ball and chain wanted to re-do the bathroom anyway and I might as well buy the upgraded faucet now. But in the future remodel plans, I was thinking to buy a wideset faucet instead of a centerset faucet, which would require me to go ahead and replace the countertop now instead of later. And of course, upgrade it to granite or something nice. Now the kids bathroom has been without a sink for 3 weeks, I'm at the home improvement store with the wife, and she wants to remodel the entire bathroom including the tub and shower door, all the faucets, the countertop, strip the wallpaper, texture and paint the walls, and get some new flooring. And to top it all off, we can't agree on a single piece. I figure this five dollar Aerator is gonna end up costing me several grand, plus my sanity. And for that, this stinkin thing gets 1 star!

Works
Delta (nor Amazon) does not make it easy to find the right replacement. If you are a do it yourselfer and don't know the meaning of a bunch of acronyms picture comparison may not be enough.

Quick & easy!!
Did a bit of legwork to find these but they worked & installed beautifully! The water flow from my two bathroom sink faucets started to slow down due to hard water deposits, so I unscrewed the two screens to de-lime them and discovered they contained low flow filters made of plastic, so I just replaced them with new ones! Quick & easy!

Get the OEM part
Buy the Delta replacement part. About the same cost as the box store but much higher quality. Don't just try to replace the cartridge.
