YA GOTTA REPLACE THE O-RING!!!
Overall, this is a relatively easy fix for a solenoid that has stopped working. BUT....there is no mention anywhere whatsoever in the install instructions as to the need to replace the provided O-ring, or on which connection it should be used on. Only after several tries, and leaks, did I think to scroll down thru these reviews and find the advice about replacing the O-ring and where it should go -- where the water line up to the faucet meets the adapter. The existing one looked fine but apparently was a wee bit smaller and wasn't sealing completely. Giving only 3 stars because of the lack of including info about the O-ring.

Direct replacement
Delta really did it right here. They supported the older products with an upgrade/retrograde kit. I guess you don’t mind paying $150 if it only takes 10 minutes to replace, even though you could have fixed it yourself if the $25 solenoid & $1 diaphragm was available by itself. Delta supplies all the adapters for both contingencies you might encounter from the old units. So far so good. Wife is happy :):)

Worked great
Overall it's an improvement over the old one. We bought the Pilar design back in 2010 - that's 12.5 years for the original. Ours started having odd things happen with it many months before it died completely. This replacement part is a smoother start and stop to the flow of water. It is just as sensitive as the old one. Installation is fairly simple. I did not used the o-ring that many reviewers said that you had to use. I found it really difficult to remove due to location so I left it. I like that they included the o-ring in the box. The first time I installed it, it leaked, so I just pushed the new part harder onto the tube and it sealed just fine. I have used it for a couple weeks now with no issues/leaks. Value for the money...It's expensive but other option is to buy a new one.

work's amazingly well
We ordered this replacement Delta solenoid for our Touch2o faucet which had quick responding properly. My husband was able to intall using directions from Delta in about 30 minutes which saved us the cost of a plumber. Our faucet works terrific now.

Saved 4-500 with the replacement
The o- rings are really what needed to be changed sooner but once they leak and water hits the circuit board it’s a wrap. My particular faucet is not made anymore so this saved several hundred dollars. The fix was easy, I’d say a novice could do it. The most challenging part was changing out the o-ring on the line connected to the faucet. You’re laying on your back for this repair but it was a ten minute task start to finish. Have a pick ready to pull off the old o-ring.

I like the fact that you can use either "C" batteries ...
I was a bit apprehensive about the fact that Delta tech support told me to "buy it on Amazon", when I reported that our Touch2O faucet had stopped working. But, it turned out to be the right advice! I like the fact that you can use either "C" batteries or "AA" via the holder-insert. Since I only had "AA", I haven't tried "C" batteries as of yet. Installation took about 45mins, mostly because of the inconvenience of crawling under the sink while trying to get enough light onto the connections. There was an uh-oh moment when i realized that the faucet was in the "on" position and I had a mini-flood on my hands. Luckily I had placed a shallow pan below the unit to catch most of the water. So, watch out for that (be sure that the faucet is in "OFF" position while you disconnect the old unit and connect the new one). It actually took me a little more time to remove the old item than it did to install the replacement. Instructions were OK, considering that I wasn't sure of the exact version that I had previously. It made sense as I went along, although I was a bit confused in the beginning. The LED on the base of the faucet stays RED, which could indicate that the batteries are low ... I'll change them when they run low, perhaps that'll make it BLUE? The system works a lot better than it ever did, even when brand new. So, I'll withhold a star for documentation (although that could be blamed on my lousy plumbing skills).

Better than a new faucet, but not perfect
This solenoid replacement unit gets the job done but is far from perfect. We had a first-generation Delta touch faucet and the original solenoid eventually gave up the ghost. I was pleased to find a replacement on Amazon and Prime shipping was a plus. Swapping out the solenoid units is a straightforward process and should even be a "tool-less" operation. The included instruction are easy to follow. The included adapter for transitioning from the first-generation (Rev. A) hoses to the new solenoid plumbing (Rev. C) is a bit over-sized, resulting in a leaky connection. The leak was even more pronounced when the faucet was wide open and the solenoid was used to turn off/on. I guess I could have tried replacing the o-rings on the male connector (original) but they looked to be in good shape. I think the adapter is just slightly over-sized. I ended up wrapping the male connector in a few layers of plumber's tape before inserting it into the adapter and that solved the leak. A week into using the new solenoid, the LED began blinking the low-battery indicator. I had installed new batteries along with the new unit, so I suspected something was wrong. Sure enough, a day later the solenoid was completely dead and no amount of fresh batteries or unit resets would bring it to life. Amazon sent a replacement unit and I'm happy to report that one has been working fine for a couple of months now. Pros: -Much more responsive to touch than original solenoid units -LED changes color to indicate water temp -Much smaller than original -Extremely easy to install Cons: -Slightly over-sized adapter, resulting in leaks -Batter pack lid is tricky to secure -First unit was defective -Mystery RJ-45 jack on side of unit (I hate not knowing what it's for!)

Works very well
Works very well! Easy to install! Replaced with first generation touch delta faucet solenoid! Better battery cartridge and also the light changes to red if you turn on the hot water which is a feature that doesn’t come with the original manufacture solenoid!

Fixed my 5 year old Addison kitchen faucet perfectly
I have a 5 year old delta kitchen faucet (see pictures for exact model and solenoid module that was replaced). It started to randomly throttle the flow, so after unsuccessfully trying to fix it, I ordered this replacement. I was a bit hesitant after reading the reviews, as some users report issues with mid-sized o-rings and leaking from the connector assembly. Fortunately, the unit now ships with a larger o-ring you can use to replace the existing ring. Just carefully pry the old one off with a small screwdriver and pop the new one into place. That’ll address any leaking reported in other reviews. The new solenoid works very well, and my faucet is as good as new. The hot/cold indicator light is a nice addition, as others have noted. The old solenoid just showed one color for “on”. Fairly easy job you can do on your own. Instructions are clear and concise - just be sure to follow the step applicable to your faucet type. I took off 1 star because replacing the o-ring isn’t mentioned anywhere in the instructions - you have to read Amazon reviews for that little nugget of information!

Works better than new!
Sensitive as it should be. Improvement over old solenoid, LED changes colour with temperature of water. Great delivery, Prompt.

Excellent replacement unit.
Easy enough to install by following instructions. Instructions are pretty good, but don't mention the use of the extra rubber o-ring supplied (taped to the adapter), which would have been helpful (it's used to replace the old one that goes under the adapter unit, which leaked a bit before I took it apart again and replaced it). Other than that, a great refresh of a previously frustrating faucet!

Perfect fit.
unit that what Delta specifically recommended us that would fit as a replacement to the one we have. didnt find any issue after almost 4weeks of use so far.The pict is the old one. UPDATE May01,2022: sensor became terrible. Whether in handle or the spout itself. Checked the wiring, replaced the battery. Still bad. We have to turn it off from the main switch.
