Matching air gap for kitchen
OK well I’m the one trying to learn how to do things on her own now all the little things my husband used to do the air gap was the first thing I did by myself, took me a few hours. I have to admit it was hard trying to pull up through the hole for the air gap on the sink, I just duct taped it to some tongs and pulled it up through the hole. Got it to go through the hole very physical doing these things under the sink but it sure looks nice son had to help me with this one area that had to do with the dishwasher to being part . Very nice selections.

Looks great, no leaks
This has been working great: no leaks and looks attractive. I was replacing a cheapo air gap that had been installed with my dishwasher. Relative to the old one, this air gap has a few advantages: - Doesn't leak. I thoroughly cleaned out the hose at the same time as I replaced the air gap, so maybe the leaking was due to the small amount of gunk that was in the hose, but I felt like the old air gap was also maybe not well designed to funnel the water into the hose. - Accommodates thicker countertops: the manufacturer rates it for up to 1½" deck thickness. My old air gap couldn't really fit my thick counter properly, and the plumber had kind of jammed it on there somehow. - Great selection of attractive finishes. The stainless finish looks great and matches my sink. The old one only came in polished chrome. - Rubber washers that help secure the air gap to the counter snugly and gently. My old one just had the plastic nuts, no washers. - When you pop the finished cover on, it is flush with the countertop. The old one left a visible plastic ring below the metal cap.

Perfect - just what I was looking for
Purchased a new delta stainless steel faucet to replace a broken Mowen Satin nickel that the builder had installed. The builder had put in an air gap with a chrome cap, always annoyed me to have that chrome stair at me on the stainless sink next to a satin nickel and black faucet. So when I purchased my new faucet decided to try this out. I purchased this with the hope that air gaps were made pretty standard and could just take take off the cosmetic chrome air gap cover, leaving the functional plastic air gap in place and just put this new stainless steel air gap over the in tact plastic air gap that was installed by the builder. I was happy to find that it fits great actually fits better than the chrome one. A lot of reviews complain about the quality of the plastic functional portion of this air gap. I can't speak to that as I said I left that portion untouched and its still in the box. I purchased this for the cosmetic cover, met my needs perfectly. Wrote this review to give hope to others that are in the situation I was in having a chrome cap that looks awfully out of place. With your stainless steel faucet and/or sink. I paid $19.42 and it was worth every penny.

Nice Cap... But caution, All cheap plastic claims are entirely true!
The air gap cap itself is amazing! As mentioned by a previous poster, the stainless steal cap matches Delta's stainless steel products exactly. I installed this gap with a Delta 19922-SSSD-DST Ashton Pullout faucet and it looks great. The cap itself is solid stainless steal and will most likely last for years. My only negative about this purchase is the same as everyone else. I had read the reviews before purchasing and thought to myself the plastic cannot be that bad... I cannot stress to you enough how bad the quality is of the actual plastic air gap piece. I had tightened everything down by hand only, then when moving the flex drain tube to attach to the garbage disposal... POP!! there went the threads on the air gap. So I ran over to OSH and picked up a better one for $5.99 and just put the stainless steal cap on that instead. IMO, the cap itself is worth the 15 bucks. I wouldn't even try to install the included air gap

Good air gap design and nice quality cover cap.
This comes with the air gap, stainless cover and gaskets for the top and bottom of the sink. The air gap itself has a nice design so water doesn’t shoot out of the tube. They put a cover on top of the air gap so it’ll minimize any spills. The stainless steal finish is very nice as well as the slots they used.
