Husband asked me to get more!

I originally bought this to replace a rusting "boring" one in my bathroom. (2020~2022) I liked the design and option to add a filter. And it was comparable in price to an exact replacement. That was the extent of my criteria in the original replacement. Since then, my husband forget I replaced the original metal one and asked why the one in the bathroom was different from the rest of house. After jogging his memory, the tells me I should replace all the ones in the house with this type. He feels it does a better job controlling air flow than the others (open, shut, directional). He likes that it is easier to open-close AND ease to latch and unlatch without it coming unlatched unintentionally. (The old metals ones are a pain to adjust, he was afraid replacements would be too loose.) He likes that it isn't painted (metals ones, paint is chipping). He feels it is more durable than the old ones (kids banged up the metal one in the bathroom and their rooms). He does NOT "burn" his foot on it in the winter, nor 'freeze' his foot in the summer. He likes he can wash it without worrying about it rusting (or bathtub water doing the same thing). When I showed him the filter option, he was looked at me like that was the most important feature and I should have led with that. (Our kids are always dropping stuff down their vents). I need to get a ladder and measure the wall vents next.

I’ve gotten several things from this seller. All good quality materials. Doesn’t look cheap. Very sturdy. I wasn’t a fan of the hard plastic vent part, but I actually do like it now. I was a little hesitant, but glad I kept them.

Great, but has a couple flaws

I ordered just one of these to be able to check it out to make sure it was going to be what I was looking for. Overall, I like it enough to get more, since I'm not finding much to choose from for designs like this that I like. It's a sturdy metal top with a plastic vent piece that snaps on. The metal was more sturdy than this other one I got to try, so you can step on it without it bending. I love how the little lever for opening and closing the vent is low enough that it won't catch on my robo vac. The whole top isn't as low to the ground as I was hoping for, but it's low enough. I like how this vent opens and closes slots horizontally, rather than the standard vent style of rotating two flaps; it's easier to have it open partway. The only two larger flaws with this one that I ordered is that it is bent a little, so it doesn't sit flush to the ground, and several of the edges around the design cutouts have a little lip on them that you can see up close and catch your nail on. Luckily you can't see this lip when standing by the vent, and the lip isn't rough to catch your sock on or anything like that. Since the vent is bent bad enough, I'll have to put it in a location where I don't need to worry as much about dirt and stuff getting caught under its raised edge, but you can't see that it's not flat against the ground. Overall, it looks really good and is a good quality material and style, which is why I'll be ordering more for the rest of my house. I'm also sure not all of them will come bent like this.

worth it

They look great and fit perfectly. I didn't see any quality issues. The slider for the vent block sits almost flush with the whole thing, so walking by isn't risky.

Attention au feu

J’avais choisi ce modèle pour son élégance, mais la partie inférieure de la grille est en plastique. Elle a littéralement fondue lorsqu’une panne d’électricité est survenue et que la fan de la fournaise a cessé de fonctionner. La grille supérieure qui quant à elle est en métal a résisté à la chaleur, mais elle était si chaude qu’il était impossible de lui toucher pour la retirer. Qualité des matériaux à considérer selon l’utilisation.
