I just received this Air Fryer...
Hello, I was flirting w/ the idea of an air fryer for some x now, but as a European Transplant the idea to spend so much $$ & then return it, if not happy is still too complex for me to internalize... ...until I got this offer for a cute, small "returned" air fryer by Dash for the reduced price of ~$40 on Amazon! I hesitated at first...I NEVER was a friend of coated, non-stick kitchen wares, the very moment they flooded the market eons ago, yet I ordered it to make my own first hand experience w/ air fryers & if I'm not satisfied, I planned to donate it away w/o bleeding out... The air fryer came in its original box, an original address label (?) taped over, it seems complete except warranty & instructions are missing. The turquoise coloured exterior of the air fryer has a few tiny scratches, which don't bother me, on the matt black (silicon?) top & the inside it has marks that appear to be grease stains (?). I immediately started to clean it w/ warm water & dash of Mrs. Meyer dishwashing soap. The cleaning was quite easy... perhaps because I was full of anticipation to air fry my very own chicken wings... ???? I have no dishwasher unfortunately, thus had to handwash basket & tray... Bummer... I noticed some tiny silvery spots inside the basket & on the tray as well. It appears the coating is peeled/ peeling or flaked, or it didn't get 100% coated...or worse the prior owner "abused" it. My questions now: Is this air fryer dangerous to use in this condition? What about BPA contaminating the food? I DO mind nonstick "non-toxic" materials in my food! Will flaking increase w/ the use of this appliance? Is this type of flaking rare, did other consumers alerted you of this? Do you replace these parts? Do you provide -similiar to some microwave mfgers- a touch-up "paint" for fixing the coating, for example to protect chemicals from getting into the food? I haven't used the Dash Air Fryer yet because of these very concerns. This item is so cute, not too bulky & I can't wait to prepare delicious food... Btw I also checked some YouTube clips for guidance & many mentioned silicone liners etc. (for air fryers that were already used for some x, before the peeling-off started - not "new", like the one I bought!). Would these liners protect from BPA et al. seeping into the food during preparation? I'd really appreciate if someone could help w/ the questions I have...right now, I am looking at this "cake" & am too afraid to eat it... Thanks & Happy Easter

Perfect Fryer, Perfect Size, Simple, Easy to Use
I purchased this 3 years ago as a Christmas gift for someone who ended up receiving a duplicate. I kept it in storage, and almost forgot about it. We found it this week, and attempted cooking French Fries, Chicken Breasts, and leftover (fried) Pork Belly. Each came out perfect. There is an instruction/recipe booklet that helps a lot with recommended temperatures and times for cooking various items (in addition to some good recipes). Note: There is no preheat button; just a temperature dial, and a timer knob. It is super easy to clean after cooking. At 2.6 qts, it is quite compact and does not take much room on your kitchen counter. Handle and top are cool to touch even when cooking. I wish I retrieved this from storage 3 years ago. We are very pleased with this appliance. Highly, highly recommend!

Best Appliance PLUS GREAT Customer Service
I purchased this because I had seen so many positive stories and reviews about it. I was not disappointed! It does a fantastic job of crisping, cooking, and reheating all kinds of foods. Even things that were originally baked are much better reheated in the air fryer than in the toaster. All of the fat from frozen foods like fried shrimp or french fries drips into the bottom of the drawer below the tray so the food is much less greasy. The drawer and tray are all nonstick and the tray has a little rubber feet on all four corners to prevent scratching. I’ve run it through the dishwasher on the top rack but also hand washed it gently with a non-scratch sponge and it has come out beautifully both ways. The unit is so compact that I can actually store it in the cabinet below my counter. I adore the color which is very cheery. The ability to adjust the temperature is a terrific improvement as some foods did better at a lower temperature. Most things are done within 5 to 7 minutes, even from frozen! Unfortunately the nonstick coating started to flake off of one corner of the drawer. I don’t know if it was from someone else not cleaning it carefully or a problem with the finish. I reached out to the company to ask if I could purchase a new drawer for the unit. They asked me to register the product (register your products folks!), provide them with proof of purchase date, information about the serial number, and images of the damage. I did so. I waited about three weeks but hadn’t heard anything. A couple days later I got a box in the mail. It was a brand new unit! They provided it to me at no cost. I am just so happy! I can’t recommend the product enough!

Love the small footprint and Our New Meal Options!
We love our air fryer and are amazed how many meals we’ve cooked in it for 2 of us. The liners we purchased have helped immensely and really speed cleanup time. We use our new air fryer at least 4 times per week and just cooked 2 coated pork chops (8-9 minutes per side) for dinner. We notice you really do need to turn meats, burgers and fish patties/fillets halfway thru the cooking process, but we like the simplicity of the dial for temperature adjustment and the knob for timing. This is just great for small spaces—and anyone cooking “off the grid.” Bon apetit!

I’m soooo happy! My previous air fryer sadly died from one day to the other so I was on the hunt for a new one which seemed hard at first. While comparing so many different brands, I read a lot of bad comments about chemical smells which lowkey concerned me, so I was looking for THE one that had no comment about chemical issues or long lasting smell. This IS the one! I got it today, it had 0 smell, it’s so so cute, fits in my cupboard, and something I didn’t even care about that much -but is so nice- is how quiet it is! Crazy! My previous air fryer was so loud lol. It does its job very well, easy to clean so yes I definitely recommend this purchase. I hope it will last long!

Just what I wanted!
I’ve had an actifry for many years, one of the original ones. Makes great fries…but not too much else because of the stirring action beats stuff up. I decided to try one of these style of air fryers to have while camping. So far it’s really great! I find it incredibly versatile. For example you can cook two hamburgers and then quickly toast the buns afterwards. Or cut a frozen pizza into quarters and just cook one portion. For this particular Dash model, it’s simple and effective. The top handle is a bonus as well as the temperature control, and the size is compact and perfect for 1-2 people. It’s size also helps with portion control to be honest. I’m not sure why you’d need to spend more than this other than to get a larger size. Don’t fall for any gimmick features…it’s a mini convention oven. Has a fan and element - blows hot air into a pot with a grate at the bottom. Couldn’t get any simpler. Don’t spend more that a hundred bucks on an “air fryer”…it’s not warranted. Cheers!

Amazing little air fryer for the price
Good quality air fryer for the sale price. I have used it fairly regularly for 6 months now, most of the time just tossing in preseasoned frozen chicken breasts from Walmart, and then some mini potatoes. The trick is to use some cooking spray directly on the meat after, turns out perfect every damn time. Even heat, easy to use, and easy clean up. The small size makes it perfect for single people or couples. Wish I had bought a few more before the price increase as gifts and for myself (simultaneous air frying?).

O....M......G buy it!!!!
30 mins in the air fryer and these thick cut chops were cooked to perfection inside and out. Extremely easy to use. Love it so far and zero oil added. *****UPDATE***** same day it arrived, minutes after I used it, chops turned out great. Went to put fresh cut fries in and pushed the bucket it, set the temp and turned on the timer and this metal grinding noise comes from the top of it, so I open it and look don't see anything so I push it back in. Leave fries for 30 mins on the timer. Pull the bucket out when it was done and fries are still raw. I shake up the bucket to move the fries around and I hear a rattle, remove fries and the grill and find a nut from a bolt. Must have been what I heard. Needless to say I am returning this item as clearly something was a defect and it is brand new. It did cook the meat really good so I opted for an exchange for a better brand (Ninja) that is slightly more expensive.

Cute and easy to clean. Small - best for 1 or 2 people. Disappointing with some foods. Not seeing crispy outside juicy inside with meat or veg. Fries good.
