HARD TO FIND BRASS FLUSH HANDLE AT A REASONABLE PRICE!

Hard to find brass flush handle at a reasonable price with a problem and a negative. Most of the box stores don't have it in stock. This flush handle/lever has a problem with the space needed at the lever angle to get the nylon nut off for installation without damaging the product. I had to take a pair of angle pliers and re-bend the lever so there was space to get the nut off and install it inside the tank. I don't think a weaker person would have been able to effect the alteration. So you may require the family weight lifter to reshape the lever for you. The negative I mentioned is that the handle does appear to be a brass stamping and is not magnetic. However, the inside tank lever appears to be plated brass and may corrode over time. A constant wet environment calls for solid brass quality. Other than those two issues it was a good buy and delivered quickly.

Excessive end play

I needed a replacement for a broken bright brass flush lever, and this seemed to be what I wanted. However,the only stop for the shaft motion along the fitting is the 90 degree bend in the shaft, which allows a lot of unwanted play. I needed to bend the lever 45 degrees to fit my tank, and that made a bad fit even worse. After much trial and error, I found a way to fix it. I took a 4" length of plastic refrigerator water line, and cut a spiral along its length. I wound this around the shaft, snugged it up against the fitting, and taped the other end to the shaft using electrical tape. You can see the result in the photos. I am hopeful this solution will last. I like the appearance of the handle, but the design of the fitting needs improvement to limit the end play.

Hard to find brass, nice construction

I DIY replaced everything in the toilet tank and decided to change the handle as well. Wife wanted brass and I could not find it at lowes so I ordered one. It is off good construction, definitely not plastic. I bent the rod to make it work and now there is a solid whoosh. Only thing now is to experience how long the brass finish last, it does seem well constructed though. Besides that one unknown it is a recommended buy.

Nice looking handle

This handle was easy to install and works fine. Please note that the long rod that connects to the flapper chain is metal (I believe brass) and I could bend that rod to make the handle align how I needed it. If you buy a handle with a plastic rod, you won't be able to adjust it.

BRASS HANDLE - Attractive & won’t corrode!

The old handle was badly corroded. Spraying the old but with penetrating oil and letting it sit overnight made it a bit easier to remove the old handle. Installing this attractive new brass handle was very easy. The nylon nut will never corrode. Looks great!

very sturdy for home use

ASA CSA standards. Its plastic bolt is strong enough and won't rust. Now I keep insured it won't break as the plastic ones before. Handle need to be put at level with cover, so just clip the chain at height. I won't need to bother my janitor again. And isn't brass clean!

I bought two. They did not fit my American Standard Ravenna. The handle was too loose where it attached to the toilet no matter how much I tightened it.
