Great Boot, EXCELLENT price.. 8.5/10
Would order a half size larger if I had it to do over again, but after a little break in time, they are extremely comfortable and have the softest heel pads of any boots I own. Excellent look, love the snip toe style. Edit: It is November now, and I just replaced these with a new pair.. Granted, I waited about a month too long, but they lasted actually VERY WELL, you may not think 8-9 months is long at all for this type of boot, but it was my single and only pair of boots I had, and thats how it will stay. I do pipefitting/welding by trade and this pair was underneath me for all of it!! And it was my daily wear after work and in nights out.. they’re well worth the $170 price tag!! And the comfort and lightweight feel of them is worth getting an a$$ chewing from safety on the job a time or 2, unless you really are worried about chopping off your toe..????????‍♂️ Am contemplating the new snip toe look steel toe work boot from lucchese, but its hard to stray away from these that I Know i love!!

Nice boots but remember to order a 1/2 size smaller
The boots fit right. For boots this means tight until broken in. I ordered a 1/2 size smaller then my shoe size. When putting on the boots you should have to push hard and removing the boots must be done with a boot jack. At a 1/2 size smaller this is exactly how they fit. The boots where in all the new shoe packaging you would find in a store.

I will say these boots are pretty nice and you get your bang for the buck
I will say these boots are pretty nice and you get your bang for the buck. After break in the insole cushion system Dan Post uses really makes for a comfortable boot. They are definitely a little darker than what the picture shows but that didn't bother me. The only issue I've had is the inner side seem was rubbing against my right ankle pretty badly so I have to wear thick socks and I put some wadded up newspaper in the boot to stretch it out a bit when I'm not wearing them, both of which have solved this issue.

Dan Post's Customer Support is Great, but Their Quality is Hit-or-Miss
I bought a pair of boots and they fit great and looked awesome. The leather felt like high quality, and I was very happy with the quality to price, as I've always worn Luccheses. But after only about a month or so, the outsole started falling apart on the right boot. I'd hardly even worn the heel cap down. I contacted Dan Post, sent them some pictures, and they sent me a new set of boots with very little inconvenience, which was great. However, when the new boots arrived, the insole was slightly too big in the left boot, causing it to buckle under your foot, which was very uncomfortable. I had to trim down the insole by hand using a razor to get it to fit. Clearly, Dan Post's quality control is lackluster. After my slight modification, I'm very happy with the new boots, but I have low confidence that they'll last as long as a my Luccheses.

My best boots ever!!!
Fits like a glove. Wore them all day and no discomfort whatsoever. Dan Post boots just became my go to ranch and riding boots.

Poor fit and quality
I would not recommend this boot due to the lack of quality of the interior of the boot. To, start, I wear a 9 1/2 wide; always have and always will. See my Pros and Cons below. More Cons than Pros so they start first. Cons: I ordered the first pair; right foot fit good but the left was tight so they went back. Ordered a second pair, the right was super tight and the left was moderately tight. The tongue (high part of the vamp) cut into the top of my foot like a knife so back they went. Ordered a third pair; 10 D this time. The width worked okay but the vamp/tongue area was still binding. I liked them enough and bought a vamp stretcher on E-Bay for $75. Got it, stretched the vamp and the fit better was better. Also to note, the boot shaft is extremely straight and tight making the boot very hard to get off. I wore them today for the first time and there is some super rough leather or some type of terrible material that surrounds the heel area that is like 20 grit sandpaper; correction 10 grit. The rough lining in this area is about 1.5 to 2 inches tall. I should have caught this but was initially more concerned about the fit than the interior finish. The right boot is far worse than the left. So tonight I checked my other dozen or so pair of boots made by about 8 different makers and the heel lining area was smooth on all of them. If you get these, look deep into the boot and the rough lining around the heel rear and sides is a white material. I think the only fix is to wear 2 pair of socks or tape a big gauze around my foot in the heel area that rubs. Conclusion: $169.99 for the boots, $75 for the stretcher and enough wasted money is enough. Pros; nice styling and the insole cushioning system is as good as any boot made. So, do I go to a shoe repair shop and have them glue a leather lining around the rough heel area for another $50? Then I am at $300 to try and make these work. The first 2 pair were $139 then the price got jacked up to $169 on pair # 3. With being worn only once, they are going in our next garage sale for $50 or best offer. If they don't sell, will donate to Goodwill. To note, the Amazon service during the multiple exchanges was excellent. They did not make the boots, Dan Post did. I have some other older Dan Post boots and the quality is okay but not great. I am out of the Dan Post business. Do even ask me about Laredo; their value price boots. These are most likely mass produced and quality is the last of their concerns; except for the insole system. If someone from Dan Post reads this and will pay to have the boots fixed plus cover all of the postage, I will be a happy camper.

Do not try to break them in if they're too small. Exchange for half size larger.
They're really well made and look great for years. You can resole them at least three times (I have.) Get taps put on the toes and heels and they'll last forever.

Magnifiques bottes (Dan Post Mignon Snip)
