I would highly recommend this style and brand for the price.

No one makes hand made true 4 E extra wide boots anymore. This is the closest I could find. They seem to be good boots and should loosen up and stretch out some once broken in properly. They are very nice boots for the price . Not old school Tony Llama 1094 and 1196s in a Mink or whiskey tone. However since Tony Llama and everyone else sold out to Acme / Laredo you cant get decent boots made in San Antonio unless you know someone. The new styles all suck now and guys like me who are used to a certain boot we bought and wore for 30 or 40 years all of us hate the modern machine made in China garbarhevbeing produced today. At least these were made in Mexico where there are still a few real cobblers and boot and hat makers with some skill. I'm happy with the boots they just need broken in. I would highly recommend this style and brand for the price they are a great buy.

The smell will knock you down

They looked a little darker than the photo, they seemed comfortable but loose. But the SMELL WILL KNOCK YOU DOWN. RETURNING THEM.

Would like to give 5 stars if only could actually wear ...

Very frustrating as I am having to return another pair and try next size up. I would normally wear 10 2E, yet I'm up to 11 2E and still can't get the right bout on. I can't believe that I'm going to have to go to an 11 1/2 2E or even 12 2E but it appears this is going to be the case. Very frustrating at least the return process has been frustration free. Would like to give 5 stars if only could actually wear these boots.

Received a worn pair of boots...

“New” boots arrived with scuffs, stains, and a worn sole. These boots are used and unacceptable in the condition they’re in. Also run a bit large. One star. Return. Update: the returns were very quick and the replacement was brand new. So far, the boots are amazing! Update to 4 stars.

Really comfortable boots!

The color is somewhat different between the two boots, but they are distressed leather so some difference is normal. I have found that different boot manufacturers fit differently even in the same size, I have found that Justin and Nacoma boots run narrow, while the Dan Post seem to have a little more room in the width.The boots are extremely comfortable, and I wear them everyday!

Looked, felt, and wore great... at first.

When I got them I could see the quality they are made with. Thick, quality leather, and everything firmly attached. I wore them for 11 months nearly daily and loved them. But at just about a year of having them, the bottom of the boot, by the ball of my foot, the stitches holding the sole on wore through, and the leather came loose. So the design flaw is, the stitches are exposed after a bit of the leather wears so they wear through. I am hoping it can be repaired by a shoe repair, we'll see.

Excellent Boots

I got the parcel three days back and the boots came well packed. Initially they are a bit tough to get onto the feet but are very comfortable once you have them on and require almost no breaking in. I have wide feet and was really pleased when my toes spread out despite of the round toes. They are very good looking boots and I have been wearing them everyday since I got them. Was really surprised at the weight they are very light compared to other boots that I have. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for round nose boots. Am surely going to be buying more Dan Post Boots.
