runs large

A small was slightly too big for me, which is unusual. I'm a 6/28 and this could work but an xs might look better. If you are a 4/27 or smaller, you will need as xs.

I hate short skirts but damn!

I thought this skirt was going to be too blan or too short but i was wrong. Its still a bit short for my taste but i have this long flowy top that would go perfect with it. Measurements. 42 chest 38 waist 45 upper hips 48 hips and I'm 5'9 with a 32 inseam. 28 " thigh and I usually wear XL 14-16.

Great skirt except the sizing! Suggest sizing down

I'm so disappointed! This is the exact skirt that I'd been looking for for years. I had a similar one decades ago that was my favorite and I hadn't been able to find a duplicate until now. I'm normally about a size 18, XL-XXL, and went by the size chart and ordered the XXL. It should've fit perfectly because both my 40" waist and 49" hips fall within their XXL parameters. I was so excited for it to come in but it's way too big. I possibly should've ordered a Large? I will likely have it altered because it's exactly what I was looking for otherwise. Very comfortable and stretchy. A great length and quality. I love the thickness, weight, and feel. It can be dressed up or down and is such a great wardrobe staple that I've been lacking. If the sizing were correct I would give it 10/5 stars if I could. I suggest sizing down 1-2 sizes but highly recommend it in the correct size!

true to size

i really like this skirt. I used it on vacation when we visited the local restaurants/spots. the only thing i didnt like too much is that it naturally sticks out from the bum. I ironed it as much as i could to keep it from doing that and it helped a bit. It is true to size and pretty flattering.

Better than the photo

Based on the photos, I knew this item was risky when I ordered it. I was really worried it would fit me like a tennis skirt and be unwearable on the street. Fortunately, it's not that. The model must be very tall - I'm a smidge over 5'4 and it hits about 4" above my knee. I'd definitely need tights with it, but it's for sure more wearable than it looked. The design has a slight flare to it, which is very flattering. The ponte fabric seems very comfortable - it has a flat elastic waistband plus a zipper for extra security. The waist was a bit large on me and I had to pull it down on my hips to make it fit. I might order my usual size (M) if I had a do-over.

Thick, stretchy - SIZE DOWN

I really like how thick the material is. It’s stretchy so you would feel comfortable in it, but definitely size down. I am a US size 6 (36 waist), 136lbs and ordered a small, which ended up being way too big for me. It’s just too wide all around and feels very loose because of the stretchy material. The length is longer than expected too, hits about mid-thigh for me which is long for a “mini skirt” especially for someone who is only 5’2”, and it sits higher on my waist. Ordered these with the intentions of wearing them to work with black tights, would definitely be appropriate for that because they’re a really thick material and decent length.

THICK AND STRETCHY

This is a true mini skirt I'm 5'1 and the XL was way above my knees. Short as in I'd be very careful bending over with this on. The ponte material is thick and very stretchy, but has more structure & is less drapey than the jersey fabric. Has a little texture but it is subtle. The waistband is very stretchy too. The sizing is just a little big. If you're unsure of size I'd recommend going down not up. Decent quality for the price and comfortable as is typical of this brand.

Runs large, not true black

I normally wear size XL but this skirt runs big. The material itself feels high quality, is thick, and I liked the stretchiness of the waistband. The skirt is about knee length if you're wearing it on your hips but if you plan to wear it as a high rise, you may want to size down. The color is also not true black, but more of a faded black. I tried to pair the skirt with multiple black shirts but the colors did not match.

Good skirt but not really for going out

When I say that this skirt is not really for going out, I mean that in my opinion this skirt looks averagely, not very cute, not something you'll love. But This skirt is very comfortable. I liked it because it's truly so easy to put it on and wear it around the house! The top part is on elastic band which is quite big and will ensure that the skirt won't go down unwanted. It's got a zipper on the side as well, very good. Because it's so stretchy and comfortable, this skirt sized Medium could fit a Large size girl, I believe, and it won't be a problem. I also believe it could fit an M size pregnant. 4 stars because it's not bad but not very good as well.

Not exactly A-line

I got this in the XS for my daughter but she didn't like it! It's not exactly A-line style and it doesn't look worth the price of £28.99. Elastic waist with a side zip. Not sure why it has a side zip when it's elastic waist?! Quite thick material and longer than expected going by the product photos. My daughter prefers them shorter. Personal choice but I wouldn't recommend.

autumnal looking skirt

Ordered the chocolate brown colour in this a line above the knee skirt, in the size small, it fits my wife well as she normally takes an eight to ten in UK clothing. It has a side zip but it isn't really needed as the skirt can be pulled on and off with it being made from stretchy fabric and having a broad piece of elastic on the inner side of the waistband. The skirt is quite comfortable to wear and the fabric has a thickness to it more suitable for Autumn and winter. Worn with thick tights and jumper it looks quite stylish.

Size Down!

The skirt is made of a thick, good quality viscose mix, it is thick enough to wear as a winter layer with tights or on its own in summer. I am UK size 8 and went for a size small but would have been better going a size down as it’s quite big on the waist and at the back it flares outwards below the bum! The waist is elasticated and the material is stretchy to allow a size smaller. Although the quality is good, the design is very plain so I don’t think it’s worth it’s current price of £28.70!

Shape is somewhere between A-line and a swing skirt

Firstly, I made the mistake of ordering a L which is way too big for me (I'm a UK10) so this sits somewhere around my hips... but that's my fault in ordering. The shape is somewhere between A-line and a swing skirt with way more material than I expected. There's a side zip but it just slips on me as there's some stretch. It's not lined but not as thin as a lycra skirt either. Definitely a casual piece for me. And mine doesn't look anything like the picture as there's so much material.
