A lengthy review....why I believe this is the perfect everyday business backpack
I've benefited from prior reviews of this bag which led me to purchase this, so i've decided to contribute my two cents as a self-professed luggage junkie who is in search of the perfect "everyday work bag".... I posted pics of everything I carry to work. I was using a Swissgear Scansmart laptop backpack for 9 years that was a workhorse and served me well, but I found it too big to carry on crowded commuter trains while in Singapore. A large bag occupies too much personal space and difficult to manuever without my rear end swinging and hitting another passenger (it's a very courteous culture here!). I needed a smaller everyday bag that allowed me to carry everything I needed and to prevent me from unnecessary overpacking. I was drawn initially to the professional slim because of the reviews I read, but as a person who is 5'8", I anticipated that bag would hang too low for me and smack me in the butt when wearing it. I took a chance on the junior slim instead and don't regret my choice at all. If I were taller, I definitely would've settled for the professional slim. THE ERGONOMICS ROCKS! As a chiropractor, i'm always concerned how the bags we carry daily affect our posture and our health. The chest strap is removable, but why remove it? It works as intended- to distribute the load across your chest and remove the weight off the upper part of your shoulders. If you are carrying the bag filled up with a laptop in it, and you standing in a crowded train for an extended period of time, you WILL feel the weight on your shoulders, which in turn will strain your neck forward, then ultimately straining your lower back. This slim profile of this bag keeps the center of mass very close to your spine to help reduce postural fatigue. The excuse I hear many people give for NOT using the chest strap on their bags is because of the feeling of constriction. eBags have cleverly elasticised one side of the chest strap to allow for some give and solve this problem. Another detail I noticed that reflects the craftsmanship of this bag, the elasticised side is also reinforced with a non-elastic strap to prevent it from being overstretched. The idea that someone considered this feature and added it to the design of the bag blows my mind. Bravo ebags... AESTHETICS... I was ready to switch from a traditional student-bag/camping style backpack, to one that looked more sleek and professional. I was also looking for an unassuming bag without bright colours or glaring logos. I chose black because it appears more formal and appropriate if I had to carry my gear for business presentations. Plus, for any accidental spills, it's hard to discolour a black bag. FUNCTIOANLITY... The bag standing on its own REALLY impressed me. The bag will NOT tip over when you have a laptop packed and the cable garage packed, otherwise it is front heavy. There is sufficient padding in the laptop compartment to protect against denting of the computer WHEN the bag is vertically dropped (an expensive lesson i've learned). The plastic latch that anchors the straps to the bottom of the bag feel sturdy and does not have to be metal as suggested by other reviewers. The straps unhinges effortlessly and be quickly tucked into the pass through sleeve on the rear of the bag whenever I choose to set the bag down or to carry it like a briefcase. The low profile handles are well cushioned, sturdy, and easy to grab from the top or the side. A prior reviewer mentioned this was a heavy bag. If you weigh above 140 pounds, the weigh of this bag is negligible. A good rule of thumb: the bag you carry daily should be within 10% of your bodyweight. CAN IT HOLD STUFF?... Yes it can. Everyday I pack my uniform, laptop, glasses, toiletries (deodorant and oral hygiene stuff), portable battery, power cord, iPhone charging cables, a few files, and a lunch container. Like most people, I tend to pack to fill my bag, which inadvertently leads to overpacking. The Professional Slim Junior is a just the right fit for the stuff I carry 80-90% of the time. There have been times I had to carry a tripod and gimbal, No problem. That requires removing the crush-proof adapter garage to make more room in the main compartment, and voila, space is maximized. I don't even mind that zippers open to one side. It is a non-issue since stuff can be placed in and pulled out without interference. This is a smart design since the panels don't flop over causing the bag to topple over when the compartment is opened. I store my usb-lightening cable and my iPhone in the soft lined IPad compartment, and can connect the charging cable between the battery and the phone with the zippers nearly completely closed. I place my portable battery in one of the larger pockets within the "swing door" storage compartment. What I LOVE about this compartment is that everything I carry has a 'home' - a designated spot to keep and easily retrieve when needed. I recommended bulkier items (deodorant stick, powerbrick or glasses case) be placed in the apartment garage instead of the swing door panel to reduce any bulging that project outwards, or in towards the main compartment of the bag. If my shirt is folded well, I can fit it in the rear compartment just in front of the laptop, freeing up space in the main compartment for a lunch container, a few books, etc. I've been carrying and using this bag for one week. I'm in the honeymoon phase of enjoying this product. I'll update later in 6 months. Don't waste time. Buy the bag, it's a safe choice. You can't go wrong with it.

Best work backpack for travel
I love this backpack - hands down my favorite for work trips! There is so much organization which makes it super easy to find things. One downside is that the organization takes up space so I have a smaller bag with no organization that I can fit a lot more in!

Love the bag, love the Sage Green color.
I'm a full-time university student who also works shift work full time. I wanted a bag to store my 13" MacBook Pro and most of my necessities for work and school. My previous bags were usually freebies given to me by work, and were like my old school backpacks I remember using in high school 15 years ago. Just overly large open bags made for lugging 5-6 20lb textbooks around and no organization. I almost went for one of the cheaper 20-30 dollar bags here on Amazon, but I recently bought an eBags lunch cooler that really liked, so I decided I'd give them some more of my money and do not regret it. Pros: -The Sage Green color. It was risky, because I didn't see any customer pics of it, but I didn't really want grey or black. I love the color, better than I imagined. Contrasts nicely with the Orange too. -Lots of pockets. I love being organized and hate digging around in the bottom of by bag for things. I can keep almost everything I need in the front pockets, and find it all so easily. - Very comfortable. Maybe I'm not a good judge of this, as my previous bags were cheap freebies with think straps and no back support. I don't know why I waited so long to upgrade, it's helping my back out so much. I hardly feel this thing on my back. -Size. Personally, I love the size. Not too big, not too small. I guess if anything, I wish it was a tad thicker. I'll probably try and downgrade by 2" binder to a 1.5" if I can manage it, and see how that works. -Elastic Handles. Never seen this on another bag before, it's a nice detail! -Zippers. The zippers are very nice, high quality. Cons: - Maybe I haven't figured it out yet (only had the bag a few days, still discovering little details), but I wish there was a neat way to hold the extra strap length on the shoulder straps and the chest strap when it's not being used. I like to have my backpack high on my back when I use it, and when doing so, I have a lot of extra stuff hanging everywhere. - I'm not sure what the solution would be, but I wish the padding in the laptop compartment had a little more coverage on the bottom, or I wish the sleeve had it's own padding at the bottom. - Size/Compartments. Yes, this is also a con for me. To be fair, if i went with the regular size over the jr., I probably wouldn't have this problem, but I went with the Jr. since I use a 13" laptop and didnt want a lot of extra space on the top and bottom of my laptop. I can't quite fit my 2" binder in the second compartment without removing the hard liner in the "garage". Besides all of my small knick knacks which go in my front pocket (ink, eraser, lead refills, dongles, phone charger, screen wipes, pens/pencils/markers, battery backup, airpods), I really only have 3 things I take with me everywhere. A 13" MBP, it's charger, and a 2" binder. My initial instinct was to put the laptop in the back compartment in the sleeve, and put the 2" binder in the same compartment, outside of the sleeve. Only planned on keeping my umbrella in the front compartment, and maybe a random small book for reading occasionally. Problem I quickly realized with this, is that bottom edge of the laptop wasn't padded when it was in the sleeve. What I've done instead is remove the "garage" so I can fit my binder in that compartment, and put my laptop in the back compartment, outside of the sleeve (where there's padding). I still keep my laptop charger in that "garage" pcoket, jsut doesn't have a shell around it anymore, but I'm not too worried about it. The other option would be to keep the laptop and binder right next to each other, outside the sleeve, in the back compartment.

Very satisfied
I am a size 40 and a medium was a bit too tight in the body. Returned it. The large fits comfortably loose, sleeves a bit long but I just turn them up. Nice looking, lightweight, very packable. Took it to Bermuda for the evenings/showers, never had to put it on!
