He loves it, and so far I do too!
I've only had this bed for a couple of hours, so I may change my review later. Like all dogs Darwin deserves only the best. Darwin is an 8 year old Golden Retriever who weighs 82 pounds. I spent hours researching dog beds. I was willing to spend up to about 250.00 and in the end it was between this bed and the Casper bed. After looking at numerous Casper reviews I decided that the fabric didn't look all that much better, that the support was probably similar, and that the usable size of the Casper was just a bit to small. Also, Darwin tends to run hot and I appreciated the cooling feature of this bed. I wanted an orthopedic bed (no cheap foam) that is firm enough to support him, but soft enough so he feels comfortable. This met that with flying colors. It is reminiscent of my expensive latex mattress topper. I also did not want any of the velour/fuzzy fabric that most beds were made of. Dog hair just gets all over it and it doesn't seem as easy to clean. The sides of this are light grade upholstery, and the top of the mattress is similar to a bed sheet. I'm fine with the sides, but the top is not the sturdiest. I've already ordered a cooling pet blanket that I will tuck on top of the bed, so that will work fine. Darwin immediately hopped on the bed and began vigorously scratching it. No damage at all. It does not smell (as some new foam does). It was very easy to put together - less than five minutes alone. It isn't fully expanded yet, but Darwin already seems to like it. I'll update my post later, but for now, I think that Darwin will be having sweet dreams in this bed

Likes it enough to stay off my bed... so far
I recently purchased the Sealy Lux Quad Layer Orthopedic Dog Bed for my (6 year old) old English bulldog and I am very pleased with the product. The bed is very well made and has a durable construction that has held up well against my dog's scratching and pawing. What sets this bed apart is the quad layer technology that provides ample support and comfort for my dog. The bed has a thick memory foam base that contours to my dog's body, which helps relieve pressure on her joints and provides a comfortable sleeping surface. The bolsters on the sides are also well-padded, providing a nice place for my dog to rest her head or lean against. The bed is also very easy to clean, as the cover is machine washable and can be removed easily with the help of the zipper. I appreciate the fact that the bed has a non-skid bottom, which ensures that it stays in place and doesn't slip around on my hardwood floors. Overall, I highly recommend the Sealy Lux Quad Layer Orthopedic Dog Bed for anyone who wants to provide their furry friend with a comfortable and supportive place to rest. It's a bit more expensive than some other dog beds on the market, but it's definitely worth the investment for the quality and comfort it provides.

LOVE
This bed is super high up so even with both my pits on it, it doesn’t sag down at all. Super easy to clean and not the kind of material that scent sticks too so it doesn’t smell like dog. Easy to put together/take apart and wash. Would buy 100 times over!

Comfortable for arthritic pets
My 2 13 y/o Staffordshire Terriers have multiple joint arthritis and love this bed. It's easy for them to enter and they use the raised border as a pillow most of the time. I have one bed in the b edroom and one in the living room.

Ultimate comfort for my fur baby
Wanted a dog bed that would support my pup’s joints without being so stiff as to be uncomfortable. This bed does exactly that! He LOVES it. It has held up beautifully, too. I like how easy it is to clean. Highly recommend!

Solid mattress dog bed, some cooling with the gel
Got this bed in the extra large. The dog in the picture is lab-mastiff mix, he weighs 140 lbs and is large enough to pet without bending down at all. I actually got this bed for my Great Pyrenees, she is getting older and I thought a cooling gel top bed might convince her to give a dog bed a try, but so far no luck. The mastiff-lab loves it, and so do the cats. My teenage daughter also curled up on it. You can tell the mattress is high quality from the fact my massive dog is barely compressing it. You can feel the gel top too, like most it only stays cool so long but it is nice. The bolster is separate from the mattress and cover, which is nice. There is a thin waterproof layer over the mattress too. The cover is meh. My dog doesn't seem to mind it but it feels like cheap polyester to me, like cheap sheets. The light grey also shows dirt easily, I would have looked for a different color if I had thought about it. The zippers aren't bad, but anytime you deal with giant breed dog beds removing covers and washing is more of a pain. Currently listed at $167.99, which I think is reasonable for this quality of dog mattress with bolster.

Totally an experiment
It’s going to be in the 90’s next week in Florida, my baby was just breed, so wanted to find something with a cooling aspect that’s also comfortable. And since I do spoil my animals, it has a future. We’ll see how long it lasts.

High Quality
After searching for a high quality dog bed for the last 4 years I believe we have finally found the one. Yes this dog bed is a little pricey but totally worth it in my opinion. I have been searching for one that can be completely taken apart and washed , the bolster is a separate piece that can be removed and the memory foam bed has a waterproof layer, which is fantastic. The bed and bolster have separate covers on them that can be removed as well & The outside cover and zippers are of high quality. after spending several hundred dollars in the past on beds that I had to throw away because they were dirty, stinky and couldn’t be washed I think this one was totally worth the cost and my pup is comfortable and happy. Don’t hesitate if your looking for a bed that will last and that you can actually clean properly.

Exactly as described
Love these Sealy dog beds . Purchased an extra large one 4 years ago washes well and my dog loves it and its still in use, so purchased a medium one for our smaller dog. Again not disappointed it's good quality and my dog loves it.

Gran producto pero verifiquen el estado de la cama inmediatamente que llegue
Necesitaba una cama ortopédica para mi perrito (talla chica-mediana, 7kg) ya que sufrió una compresión de discos intervertebrales y estuvo a un paso de la cirugía. La cama resultó ser una buena elección. Es fresca, enorme (eso puede ser un issue si no tienen mucho espacio) y los materiales se ven de calidad. No obstante les súper recomiendo que VERIFIQUEN el estado del producto, sobre todo de la funda porque la primera vez que me la enviaron, aunque el colchón viene empacado al vacío, estaba llena de hongos (anexo fotos). Afortunadamente hablé a Amazon y me mandaron un reemplazo en perfectas condiciones en dos días, pero si es súper importante que revisen de inmediato y reporten estas situaciones para evitar problemas después. La ultima foto es de la cama de reemplazo; llego en perfectas condiciones y es súper cómoda. La recomiendo muchísimo.

Seams ripped open almost immediately
It's a really great bed - my big dog is very comfortable on it. Unfortunately, some of the seams started to open up on it almost immediately. I contacted amazon and they told me to contact the manufacturer. Unfortunately, it's not actually Sealy but someone called Wag Brands in the US that makes the bed. I went back and forth with them for several months, each time they said they would ship me a new cover to replace the defective one until eventually they told me that they won't ship to Canada and I would have to either pay a private freight company to ship it myself or have it shipped to someone in the states and get them to mail it to me. TLDR; the bed is great, the cover was defective and in Canada I can't get it replaced.

A safe and well made bed for my dog finally!
My little dog is getting old so I thought it will be good to get him a good posturepeidc bed so he will be more comfortable. He already have one but I want to get him a king size bed instead since he is a stretcher. So I got him a medium size! As you can see in the photo, he loves this bed and loves lying on it and there is so much room and his lamb chops can be him as he uses lamb chop at times as a pillow and sometimes he actually hugs lamb chop while sleeping. This bed is well made and very comfortable to touch, the most important part I love about this bed is the material used to make it. It is very important that the materials use is safe for the dog. The foam is made without mercury, lead, heavy metals or formaldehyde unlike most other dog beds where these foams are toxic. So I am extremely happy that Sealy takes safety into consideration and care. Two things I like to ask the seller are: 1. How come the bolster does not have any liner cover like the mattress? 2. How come you don’t sell replacement covers?

Muy feliz!
Tengo un Pastor Alemán muy activo y sus articulaciones y postura siempre han sido prioridad al escoger camas y colchones. Esta cama lo tiene todo es muy firme y cómoda además de mantenerlo fresco ya que tiene una capa para enfriar un poco. Las fundas son fáciles de quitar y lavar y el armado es igual de rápido. La tela hipoalergénica de la funda ayuda si tu mascota tiene alergias o problemas de la piel. Llevo ya casi 6 meses con ella y mi amigo está muy cómodo. Aunque el precio es alto la recomiendo.
