tool too small for Car spark plug removal
this tool needs to be about 8" inches long with maybe a socket attachment welded to it. Hint, development team. I had to use the square wrong end of a socket set and pair of lock jaws to remove from the engine after about a week of monkeying with devices to remove this small tool. See video on youtube from MediaCafe

Handled a LOT of torque
Highly recommend this if you are having an issue with stuck spark plug threads. I tapped the 3/8" one down into the cylinder head where my spark plug threads were seized....BADLY. The spark plug was so seized the jam nut broke clean off of the threads. I used a Lisle 65700 porcelain puller to get the porcelain out of the way (came out in one piece, thank GOD), I was initially trying with little success a 6-point socket to turn the 3/8 easy-out but it kept jumping inside the socket. I ordered a pipe plug socket kit with a 3/8 female to get a good hold and it worked like a charm. This is the kit I ordered - MIXPOWER 11 Pieces 3/8-inch Drive Pipe Plug Socket Set, I most definitely put around 150-175ft lbs of torque on this, and it didn't break. 10/10 would buy again.

Removed Broken Spark Plug on Toyota Matrix w/ Ease
Worked like a charm and saved me a ton of headache. Yes you can weld a 10mm socket on them if you don't have one pretty easily (tight clearance) and you can then put an extension on it. I drilled it out to a shell and got the porcelain out then hammered it in there. Also used a soldering iron left on the plug threads to heat them up then cooled them down right before trying with penetrating oil. Don't know how much that helped but anything to keep from having to take off the head of the car. 2009 Toyota Matrix w/ 1.8l. Turns out Denso plugs are junk (others have same problem of them snapping off).

These are probably great for simple broken bolts or spark plugs
Had a broken spark plug in my 7.5l and thought these would get it out. Ended up snapping off in my broken spark plug so now theres another issue to deal with. Probably great for cars or spark plugs that have been replaced in the last 10 years.

Broke spark plug thread, stuck in head
Life saver. Cannot recommend enough. Over torqued a 9/16” spark plug. Used the 5/16” drill. I was lucky because I had taken the plug out (after over torquing and started the shredding process) and put it back into the head when the thread separated from the plug. So I did not have to use any PB oil or what have you. The porcelain came clean off so there was no debris. Again, lucky Used scotch tape to mate the drill to the inside of the socket so they would stay together. Couple of soft taps from a rubber mallet and began to turn counter clockwise very gently with the ratchet. I could see the tool rising so I knew the thread was coming out. Ran the car for about 15 minutes before driving around. No codes and drive well.

Awesome!!!!! Spark Plug Remover!!!!!
If you change your own spark plugs, get this, you will eventually need it. I had a broken off spark plug that broke leaving the threads in the engine block. Talk about frustrated!!!!! I ordered this and attached a socket wrench with an extension rod, taped around the fittings incase it fell into the engine block, lightly tapped it into the threads and turned "Slowly" counter clock wise and it came out with ease. I was a little nervous was gonna get it towed to the mechanic, but this saved the day, take your time, don't be a brute....Took 2 minutes tops to get it out. Great for DYI'ers....

Cheap metal?
I've used these things for Decades and never had a problem until I got this set, I'm trying to get a plug out of my sbc and 2 of them have snapped clean off with very little pressure applied.

Perfect for removing stuck casing in engine block.
I have an 8mm broken glow plug casing stuck in the engine block. I used the fluted spiral first without success. The reason: fluted spiral stretches the thin (1mm) casing when gripping thus enlarging and jamming the casing tighter into the engine block. The correct bit size in this set grips the internal of the casing transverse to the thread direction thus providing a torque point without enlarging the casing (at least not as much as the fluted spiral). I was able to remove the broken glow plug. I'd theorize the same behavior for broken spark plugs. If your casing is fused to the engine block (because previous install did not use anti-seize), you may need to use the glow plug drill set to partially destroy the casing at the fused point while creating CCW thread to reverse out the broken part. I did not need to do this as this bit provided sufficient grip to overcome the seizure.

good quality tool.
I bought this product thinking I was wasting my money. I torture tested the 3/8 extractor and it stood up. Put it in a vice and hammered the tip to see if it would snap off (brittle) or bend. And it did bend but slightly. Which is good enough in my books. I have a proto set and it seems to be just as good of quality. You can make out in the picture the hammered tip. Ps please if anyone is doing tool reviews. Don’t just write it was good. Came on time .. etc. Thoroughly review it.

Great for 5/8” broken spark plug
Got my broken spark plug piece out of 2003 3.0 litre Mazda. I used probably 150 ft lbs or more of torque and I got it to break loose the ratcheted it out using all 3/8” drive tools. Didn’t snap on me so I would say great product.

Works well
Purchased for one task that I thought would be challenging. Worked great with little fuss and effort. I'm happy with this purchase. Expect it will be very useful in future.

For light use only
I tried to remove some broken bolts from an atv engine case and I broke the tip of two extractor without applying much force to it. Made out of cheap material. Would not buy again.

Cheap tools
They are cheap chinesium tools. Broke 1 pretty quick. Stripped the edges off another just as fast. But they were cheap and fast shipping. So you get what you pay for. I’ll buy Snap-On next time.
