Does the job

I ended up buying this because I've been using a product that comes in a green tube out of Italy for the better part of a decade. When I went to reorder my usual, I saw that there were varying colors available, so went to the internet to see what that was all about. In looking this up, I happened upon a review that recommended I try Cremo instead. At this price point, I figured I had absolutely nothing to lose, so order a tube of Cremo I did. As others have stated, I was rather confused the first couple of uses as it doesn't foam up like other soaps I have used, so I thought I was doing something wrong, or that it wasn't working. At times, while I'm stretching the skin out to shave, it was as if the slightest drop of water from my hand would rinse the soap entirely away, and I thought it wasn't working at all. I was incorrect in this initial assessment. There's something about this soap that the thinnest, most barely visible of layers on your face is all you need for it to be effective. I've long struggled with the section along my jaw line, in that I can never quite get it smooth. There's always a small line of slight stubble after shaving no matter how many youtube instructional videos I watch or what I might try. With Cremo, while that little detail isn't 100% mitigated, it did a substantially better job. With the rest of my face, it's as if I were blessed with the skin of a newborn. The one thing is that the peppermint oil in this stuff is mighty powerful. As I saw in another review regarding sandalwood, the peppermint oil in the tube I got can be a bit overwhelming to the extent that it sometimes stings my eyes if I apply it too high up on my face. Otherwise, this stuff is fantastic, and performs better than significantly more expensive soaps that I've tried through the years. I definitely recommend you give it a try. Note: For clarity, I use a Merkur double edged safety razor in the shower with Personna blades.

This really works

I was looking for a replacement to the discontinued Neutrogena shave cream for senstive skin. This product is a great option. I would say it is actually better. My skin is very sensitive and this product provides, for me, a soothing lubricant which allows for a smooth shave with no irritation or rashes.

NOT for standard safety razors.

There is a reason most shaving creams are aerosol ... Many hand soaps now also foam, and it just works better. This shaving cream clogs a standard safety razor almost immediately, and it is very difficult to clear. Shaving funk gets stuck between the blades, and water will not take it out. I took to wiping my razor with a paper towel, and then I took to throwing the rest of it away. Ain't nobody got time for that ... For a straight-edge, it may be nice. I dunno. Straight-edge shaving is such a niche, though. Be aware, it's really not for general-purpose razor shaving. Foaming cream is MUCH better.

Clean, smooth shave every time

I know this is for men, but ladies can certainly benefit from the usage as well! I’ve found that I can use this either on dry or damp skin. This results are almost magical, I haven’t noticed as many cuts, nicks or ingrown hairs that I notice when using other shaving creams. I also have extremely sensitive skin so it’s important that whatever shaving cream I use is going to adhere to that!

Feels great

This product feels great on my skin. I'm prone to cutting myself with my safety razor but that stopped when I switched to this shaving cream. Does not irritate my skin at all.

BEST SHAVING CREAM I'VE USED

I gave it 4 stars because the one bad thing I will say about it is it runs out faster than I would like. It could just be that I am using more than I need to each time I shave, so I won't hold that against the product itself. It lathers up very nicely and I love that it doesn't have a strong scent. It does the job and I will continue to buy it.

Been using this for years. I have a fairly heavy beard. This creates a nice barrier between my skin and my blade. I don't have to use too much to get a clean shave.

A Perfect Shaving Experience

I thought I'd try this being new to DE shaving and thought with over 6000 reviews, mostly positive so many people can't be wrong. I can happily report they are not this enables with only a small amount of product a lovely slick smooth protected shaving experience. Everything written in the description is true. It's now my main shaving cream and I've stopped looking for alternatives. This is the one! Update: one month and one week since the purchase I'd personally struggle to make this last three months as indicated, its possible I'm using too much never the less I have a few shaves left I'll monitor usage and reorder in a few shaves time. Update: OK I tried a brush with 1cm of cream and enjoyed the most amazing lather and more lubricating than the soap I tried, so yes with care it might just last 3 months I can't fathom the negative low star reviews about this product I find it exceptional. 6 weeks later I re ordered it's my go-to shaving product, Fi Al update I suprised myself as I found an e en better product

Best I’ve ever used

I’d been looking for a shaving cream for quite a while until I stumbled across this one , is fabulous ! I can honestly say it’s simply the best I’ve ever used , and it seems to last forever , they say there’s 90 days supply in a tube , but being realistic about it I think there’s more like 120 days , of course that does depend upon how you apply it , but personally I get the thick end of 4 months from a tube shaving virtually every day ... I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a great cream at a really economical price ... 5 stars ⭐️ without a doubt !

Smooth, comfortable shave

This is excellent. I have been looking for a decent shaving cream for a while now and after my first use today I am very impressed. I use a cartridge razor and I got very little resistance when shaving, a very smooth glide, and an impressively close shave with absolutely no irritation. The cream also smells absolutely wonderful and a little goes a long way. I would say you only need to use a pea sized ammount, and you don't have to use a brush to apply it. The bottle says this is a 90 day supply and if this is the case it is extremely good value. Given the small amount required to shave, I think that it could well be 90 days worth. I am very impressed with this and I will certainly be purchasing it again.

Great smooth shaves - and the tube lasts for a long time

This does not give a great big lather - but that's fine! You only need a pea-sized squeeze of it. Warm your face up with warm water, leave it damp, squeeze a small amount of shave cream out (about the size of a pea) then gently rub that all over the area you want to shave. I've always had a good smooth shave with this, and the first tube lasted the best part of 18 months. I don't shave every day, but that's great coverage.

Feeling a bit short changed!

I have used this for many years but the latest tube was not full (15% less cream in than usual) and seemed to be a different consistency. It still works OK but not up to usual high standard. I usually buy this in the US so was annoyed to have to pay three times the price to get this in the UK.
