Nice product once you get the container open

Purchased chocolate, it looks really good not too dark, buildable color. Was not dry at all - as you can see my nail accidentally hit the product once I got it open. I like that there's a applicator brush included. The container was almost impenetrable - I ran it under very hot water - clicked it back a forth - there was some very slight movement and a discernible click - tried hitting the container on the side of the counter as suggested. After the bottle cooled down, I clicked it back and forth a few times and finally got it to open! bear this in mind, as it is a non-returnable item.

Application goes on like a dream...

For a smooth and effortless application, I ask you to try this product. The green shade is a sage green, contains some shimmer. The applicator is housed in the bottom of the lid, a tiny brush that holds just enough product to apply evenly on one eyelid. You can blend with the brush as well. It doesn't take a lot of the creamy eyeshadow to give you the desired effect. Experiment with it to see how much or how little you need for the coverage/color intensity you desire. The formula if very creamy and smooth. It is not dry or cakey. Will not flake off. Lasts all day. I highly recommend this product.

Creme Eyeshadow

I loved the color and had to try it. I really like how smooth it goes on and it stays on. I am happy with it. The problem I had was that it arrived cracked inside the pod. The pod was not full of eyeshadow, and moves around the pod. I am not sure if this is a default. The pod of eyeshadow arrived in a Amazon mailer with nothing keeping it from sliding around for protection. I am not happy how it was shipped and that the contents was cracked.

I wanted a white-white creamy color. The eyeshadow is very creamy but doesn't go on a x white-white. I would buy this again just in a different color.

CARAMEL, CREME BRULEE AND ESPRESSO - Why five stars

First, I'm turning 70 in 2021. The eye makeup I loved at thirty or even sixty isn't what looks good on me now, so I have had to adjust. I wanted a SUBTLE kind of smoky eye, but one that also brightens the center a bit. I also wanted a shadow I could wear alone for a VERY subtle brightening effect. That's where Caramel, Espresso and Creme Brulee come in that I can wear alone or together. THE CARAMEL! - This is my fav for just one I can lightly pat or brush along eyelids into crease. I usually do use the Creme Brulee just under brow, but if I can just have one in my bag, it's THIS one. Even on my 70 yr old lids, a little of this goes a long way and isn't overdone. THE ESPRESSO: COLOR - I like it almost has a translucency, it's not exactly matte, but a very light shimmer, satin. I still like browns, but they have to be the right shade and not heavy looking. IF YOU are looking for an in your face dark brown, not it. I like it to layer, to build on the upper outer ends of my lids, the crease, but again, SUBTLE. LAYER IT! - it was so subtle, I grabbed my powder eyeshadow palette and and added a darker brown in the crease, LAYERS GREAT. You can almost use like a primer. I have put darker powders, lighter powders over it and it helps lock them in. CONSISTENCY - how to describe, it's like a creamy powder or a powdery creme? It's definitely creamy, love how it applies even with my fingers, but then feels soft, not at all greasy or oily like a creme can. EXCELLENT. ALONE? - SOME may be able to just smooth this over lids and go, but at almost seventy, I will get a lighter shade for the top of my lid and just under my brow. This one alone won't do it without some brightening - FOR ME. For you, if you have younger looking lids, could be used alone for a subtle light brown slight shimmer. PRICE - OK I don't know HOW one could beat the price. I have worn the SPECTRUM of eyeshadows from high and low end and this acts and looks more high end, thus more expensive. THE CREME BRULEE: COLOR: EXACTLY what I wanted! I read where some said too glittery, I didn't find that at all. It has a light sheen, transparent. I lightly put it on with my fingers. I make sure my fingers are very clean and dry, and just add it on with my fingers after first putting a touch of Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Eraser multi use corrector (LOVE this stuff, but I think any concealer you could use on eyes would work). Again, VERY subtle. I add to whole upper eye, under brow and just a touch in inner corner of eye. TEXTURE: Again, the texture is great. GLIDES ON, STAYS ON and I have no probs with it creasing. NOW it won't MAKE your creases go away, but it doesn't SETTLE into them. BOTTOMLINE: At this price, I got mine on sale for about five bucks and change, check out some youtube vids with people working with Revlon Colorstay creme eyeshadow shades, and if you like what you see, get one or two. Won't break the bank. I shall be getting at least one or two more.

Creamy Color

Perfect shade of silver gray. I couldn't get the cover off. Finally I ran it under very hot water and let it sit a minute. Then I was finally able to get the lid off.

Appalling! Too many negatives to fit on this line. Do read my review.

After so many rave reviews I thought I was missing out. This is the worst eyeshadow I’ve ever used. From matte, to powder sparkly, to cream and back. This is terrible. Let me tell you why; 1. Could not get the little brush to come out from the bottom of the pot. It has grooves. I tried sliding it, so did my partner who is a builder so strong hands. Nope. Won’t budge. Then finally he works out you need to get your nail in the tiny top end then kind of pull it out. Well ladies? That equals a broken nail. I have natural shortish nails and every time it was shocking. So even if I liked the shadow I’d never use the brush. It was for going on holiday to save packing brushes. It’s applicable by finger too. 2. The lid! I’ve seen in some other low rated reviews others have had this issue too. The lid would not budge! I took off the plastic coating then tried twisting it for well over 10 minutes (even using a towel for grip). It would not open. I then thought maybe it’s a flip lid? Which would be a much better design so you don’t lose the lid if on the go. But no. That’s not working either. My trusty strong man then took over 10 minutes to finally twist it off! He twisted it back on for me to try and it wouldn’t budge again. So annoying beyond belief. Maybe some just get a bad batch where The Hulk was on the lid placement line at the factory? 3. I got Praline which in the tub and in photos looks like a light brown/gold colour. Don’t be fooled. I have very light skin and it’s so faint I can’t hardly see it. It’s more like a neural tone with a bit of shimmer. Nothing like advertised. You can tell in my photos. The one with the lid on looks totally different to with lid off. I’m very pale and that tiny bit of sheen on my inner arm is from two little sweeps on the skin. If I wanted a sheer one I’d have bought one. 4. Blends awfully (not at all). It’s patchy, so you don’t get a nice smooth even layer. I put it on bare skin as when I’m travelling I don’t want loads of eye primer on etc. I’ve used other cream based eyeshadows which went on fab on bare skin and stayed on. It looks really bad. NOTE: If going up towards your eyebrows it cakes into eyebrow hair and can be seen. That’s me with blonde eyebrows. If you have darker it would be awful. 5. I’ve not been a fan of Revlon ever. I certainly am an anti-fan now. My go-to is Revolution for all my face makeup. At this price, for all the above reasons it’s a waste of money. I’m peeved as needed it to travel with and now about to go through returns/money back. I do not know why so many rave reviews exist. It seems like it’s hit or miss. It baffles me as even at 50 I have very smooth, even, crease free skin so it’s not like it’s patchy because my skin is not suitable. As a Top 1000 ranked reviewer. You’ll always get an honest and unbiased review from me. I do not review products sent for free to be reimbursed or paid to make up a five star review. Many of these reviews are all over Amazon. Revlon have failed on this one badly. Back to Revolution and some of my other go-to Cruelty Free brands.

Good staying factor

Nice and blendable but extremely shiny!

Very good consistency that blends easily with either your fingertip or the brush that's built into the lid. The colour is not really "caramel" in my opinion. It's closer to gold -- a very sheer and extremely shiny gold. I'll probably be saving this for evening wear rather than everyday.

Disappointed

Once on just looks glittery & actual colour hard to make out. Quite a clumpy consistency, tried with both brush & fingers. Does not spread very evenly & once on, does not last very long either, even with a primer. Cute brush attached but bit of a waste really as bristly & brush head too big. Shame as colour selections look great & I would have purchased more shades. £8.99 was expensive for this quality.

Love these two shades these are my second purchase

Fab eyeshadows, I used them all last year, stay on all day and are great to wear if your going swimming as it stays on fab, crease free aswell, I haven’t worn them much over winter and just went to use them again but even with the lids on they have all dried up and are not like the creamy consistency they once were, so I have bought another x2 pots for this summer, would highly recommend
