Best car window decorating paint!
These are some of the best paints for car windows! I decorate our vehicle each year for an event out of sheen enjoyment. For me, the paint must endure at least a week and 800+ miles of interstate travel to reach the event and last through the weekend. It exceeds those limits. This year the window paint even survived a couple of heavy but brief Kentucky summer rainstorms. But, as designed, in past years a long drenching rainstorm has washed away much of the blue and yellow colors and softened or rippled the rest of the paint. (Blue and yellow seem to be weakest and white seems to be the more durable). I bring the paint dabbers along our trip for emergency touch ups to make the images last for the entire event. When it's time to wash off the thick coatings I place on our car windows, I soak a towel in warm soapy water and lay it over the paint for about a minute or two, then use a rubber spatula to scrape the windows clean.

So much fun!
•Bright colors •The result looks great! •Good for painting big areas (the opening where the paint comes out is quite wide) •Not so good for painting small areas/small details (BUT: You can squeeze paint into a bowl and use a small brush) •You see the tracks from the writer and it's not covering the window homogeneously (BUT: You can use a brush to achieve a good result) •Mixing different colors on the window with the marker is difficult (the sponges on top of the markers are getting dirty and you scrubb away other layers) (BUT: You can mix the colors in a bowl and use a brush. With the brush you can paint different layers) Conclusion: I wouldn't have been happy with using only the markers. But with the help of a brush they are great! It was so much fun to paint a snowman yesterday and the result looks great!

Window paint
Great for writing on windows, not so much for art. I put paint on a plate and used a brush which worked better. The paint comes off easily when wiped away with water. No bleeding on streaking. Similar to a dry erase marker the more you go over the same spot it ends up wiping away and becoming more sheer.

Cheap but not so easy to paint windows
I used these to paint the windows at work. They clean off easily with windex. The only downside is that when drawing you can only go over the area one time. You can’t do a second pass to make the color darker or it wipes off the first pass. So my artwork didn’t look so good.

Window Art at its Finest
These are my favorite window paints. This set has an amazing assortment of colors. Easy to apply and works for years. Comes off really easy too with an occassional area that may need to be scrubbed a bit. The are easy enough for a kid to use (though I prefer to do the window art myself). A little tricky to get them going once you have used them but you just need to let the paint come through the tip again. Also you need to watch for drips. I use a dabbing motion as the paint is drying to keep the paint from dripping down. Let the paint dry then add additional colors or layers if you want. I like to outline my letters in a different color to make them POP.
