bathing suit has faded

I purchase this Speedo black one piece 2 months d ago. the fabric has faded it now looks as though it’s grey black It starting to look awful ???? i take care washing occasionally in cold water and hang up to dry there must be a defect in this Speedo swimsuit

A great value, comfortable suit for lap swimming

This is a good suit for lap swimming. It doesn't ride up, the straps stay in place, and it holds up to chlorine. The only slight warning is that it is best for flat-chested people -- the shelf bra offers only a little support. But if you don't mind that, a great value!

I ordered a size 8 and recieved an 8 Long.

I've been wearing this speedo suit for years and I re-order a new one every few years when the elastic wears out. I ordered it in my usual size, 8. I received an 8 LONG which is much too long for me, so I returned it. Ordered another size 8 which arrived today. The tag says it's an 8 but it sure seems like an 8 LONG again. It's a good 3 inches longer than my old suit, so I'll probably have to return this one as well.

Great suit for long torsos!

I bought this suit a year ago - so this review comes after much use. I purchased a size 10 long. I have a very long torso - but I am not particularly tall. At the time of the order I weighed 130 pounds and am 5'7" tall. The suit fit well. i have since lost 15 pounds and the suit it a little loose - probably from wear on the fabric as well as the weight loss. I swim on 3-4 times per week outside and rinse the suit in clean water after my swim. I rarely washed the suit. It held up very well. It needs replacement now because it has gotten thin in the backside and there are some runs in the fabric near the arm holes. I have historically had a great deal of difficulty finding one piece suits that fit - this one is one of the only ones. I believe the size 10 was a size up or so in order to get additional length (the suit was not super tight when new). If you are particularly tall I would recommend going up one suit size in order to have additional length. The front is fully lined and there is an unlined shelf bra. If you regularly swim laps this is a good performance suit. It does not have pads in the chest area. In terms of comparison to less expensive suits, the construction of the interior of the suit and the sewing is better - more durable and the quality of the fabric is very good. The suit has been the first comfortable one-piece bathing suit that I have ever had and I am reordering now because I have been so happy with this product. Highly recommend!

long torso like it says!

I'm only 5'5" but have a very long torso (64"). I usd to wear Lands End or LLBean long torso suits but they've both really changed their fit–not as long as before and they now use uncomfortable, itchy foam cups (and which are awful to swim or exercise in) instead of the soft cups they were using before (and they also had shelf bra styles but no longer, and hardly any racer back or corss strps, both more comfortable than traditional U- shaped backs). Anyway, I have ordered and returned numberous swimsuits this year to find one that fit and finally this one is long enough. Based on revies, I first ordered a size up from my usual size but had to return for my normal size (10 Long). I'm 5'5",133 pounds. It's not easy to get on (tight going over hips, but I'm kind of pear shaped) which is a drag, but is fine once on. But I'm just so glad to have a suit that's long enough, with a racer back and no bulky foam cups. I's not very fashionable but utilitarian. Wish Speedo would offer some of their other styles in long. I dont' knwo why companies don't see that there are many tall and/or jsut long torso women who also need swimsuits!

Great suit, but maybe size up?

This is a great swim suit, however, I felt it ran small. I'm 5'4 around 145lbs, with hips, a "pear shape". I ordered a size 10 (I'm a size 8/10 depending on brand), which fits, but it is significantly tighter than I would like in the torso. Since you have to pay a re-stocking fee and/or shipping to send it back, I'm going to keep it, but I would otherwise exchange for the next size up. The coverage is great on this swim suit though, especially in the leg/butt area. I'm pleased with the overall fit, it is modest. Hoping it will improve and loosen up a little as I wear it.

A great suit as a plus sized woman

This suit makes me feel covered. Yes, sometimes i do need to pull the top up, but I've had to do that with every athletic swimsuit I've had. I know sometimes as a plus sized girl I've struggled to find one that fits well. This one runs true to size comfortably, but as any *some* suit it has give. But if I were between sizes I'd go with the larger. Athletic suits fit differently than a leisure swimsuit, it's not uncomfortable, it's just less comfortable. So that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.

This swimsuit is not Chlorine Resistant as advertised.

After 3 months of wearing to the pool three times a week, the color has faded and the fibers are breaking. The swimsuit is detective, even the logo is curling up. This is very poor quality.

It's faded like all the other bathing suits I ordered.

I'm in chlorinated 2 1/2 hrs five days week. this has faded just like the other bathing suits I ordered. washed buy hand and in cold water . hung it to dry. Still faded.

Swimsuit disintegrated

The suit lasted for 4 months and then fell apart although I took care of it. Very unimpressed! This is how it was advertised: Ideal for lap swimmers and casual water lovers, this long-lasting swimsuit is made to work hard. PowerFLEX construction results in a durable fabric that maintains its shape after countless uses and resists the harmful effects of chlorine. 4 months is not what I call durable!

Color is fading after a few times wear.

Size is my usual cloth size. It fits well for recreation swimming. The color was faded not evenly. Some parts are good, some parts are faded. Not satisfied.
