I love this costume.
Overall, I love this Gorilla costume. The costume does get hot inside, so I suggest wearing this during a time with cooler weather, like Halloween. The mouth of the mask doesn't move either. It's a bummer but it is what it is. Either way, I still had a fun time wearing this Gorilla costume. I actually became pretty popular on Halloween, as people took pictures with me. Be warned that this costume does shed everywhere. Despite being warm, the mask not moving, and the costume shedding, it's definitely a great costume to buy.

Warm, little snug
5'10 210lbs Little snug, mask was tough to get right. Had to use double stick tape on the foam insert to snug up the mask, still could not get the mouth to move.

Very cool costume.. Says mask moves but very disappointed that it doesn't! Shed's a lot!

Robot Monster is a go!
So everyone needs a gorilla suit right? Well this one is pretty decent, but will need some work. The mask and gloves are really good, the feet are spat type and should be ok. Now for the main banana, the suit itself. I read that it will fit a 6'6" guy and I doubt it. I'm 6'5" and it's going to require some creativity to cover my lower thighs and to get it closed around my shoulders. I'm not exactly small at 280 lbs, and I really fill it out! I'm going to have to add a v shaped piece to close it and allow for movement. The two string ties are also inadequate in any case and would leave a huge gap in the back. If you have bigger than a 44 inch waist, and plan on sitting, things could get interesting as well. The overall quality seems to be pretty good, though as others said, it does shed alot. I'd say max size for this suit is 6'0" and 40" waist, otherwise you will be getting into some modifications to make the suit look good. I tried it on without the mask and gloves and it was warm, but not intolerable in 77 degree heat. A custom made suit will cost minimum 3 times as much if you can find someone who wants to mess with faux fur, so I'm going to make it work!

WAAAY better than the photo!
I LOVE THIS COSTUME! I am a costume designer & am using this for a production of Cabaret. I’d say it probably best fits people of average build from 5’7” to 6’. The “action face” is pretty cool, although I’ve yet to get it to “full snarl” with an average-sized woman’s face. The face itself reads as “neutral” (not really menacing) until you really activate the facial snarl. Very good investment, especially since it comes with quality hands & feet!

Fabulous Gorilla costume, with a little work
This costume is good; not unexpectedly very hot to wear, but that's not surprising given it's a fur suit. The costume had a couple issues--one is it came with two right side gorilla hands. Since there were no more available from Amazon, the excellent Amazon customer service representative found a different set of gorilla gloves which actually probably worked better than the ones that came with the costume. The mask needed considerable rework in the padding department so that the mouth would move without the inside part just about flattening my nose. I used adhesive backed foam weatherstripping in both 1"x1/2" and 2"x1/8", and with a few iterations, it worked out well. I had velcro tabs sewn onto the back of the mask and the body costume, which make the closure much more definitive. One of the gorilla feet shoe covers pealed apart at the junction between the rubber gorilla toes and the furry part that goes over the foot; I used Gorilla-Glue brand cyanoacrylate adhesive (just happened to have some) to fix it. The shoe covers tended to pull off of the front of my shoes and start flapping when I walked. I would suggest getting the costume early enough to fit the helmet and to get some closures for the body and mask arranged so that it's not a last minute thing. I also would suggest sacrificing a pair of shoes (I used Merrill winter mocs or something like that) and just gluing the shoe covers over them with the toes stuck into the gorilla feet so that you don't have to struggle to keep them on and in place. Finally, since it's plenty hot inside the costume, I recommend wearing some "cool-tech" undergarments. I did this for my legs, and neglected to for my upper body, and wish I had worn the cool-tech shirt, too, as my legs were noticeably less not than my torso. It's a great looking costume for the money, and with a little advance efforts, it works well.

Smaller than I expected
I'm 6'1" and 220lbs (wear 38/34 pants and L or XL shirts). While this costume was great it was smaller than expected. First off, there was a 4"-5" gap between the bottom of the legs and my shoes. The upper body portion was also a bit short for me since I could feel it wasn't too happy if I bent over forwards all the way. The wasite had plenty of room to spare. The arm legth was good with a little overlap of the sleeves and gloves and the mask fit just fine. The thumb of the gloves was pretty small while the fingers were really long, which resulted in a little difficulty using my hands but wasn't an issue so long as I was paying attention to what I was doing. It would of been nice if the back had more than just the one tie string at the top but it worked fine. I cut a vagina to make my costume a woman while also providing me with a way to relieve myself. The body suite is a bit warm but not too bad. Wearing the mask is what really made me hot since there wasn't much ventilation. I bought a fat cigar that I stuck in the mouth to hold it open more but it didn't seem to help much. Also, I didn't get long enough staws to drink with while wearing the mask so I ended up having it pulled up on my head most of the night (eating seemed impossible).
