Massive improvement to Yeswelder helmet
I have a Yeswelder LYG-M800H-A helmet, (it's the one with the green spots), and although the headgear wasn't anything special it did the job and I was okay, until it wouldn't stay up anymore... This one is specific to a Lincoln Electric helmet, but I took a chance and I'm glad I did! -It was easy to install and it fit perfectly -It's a lot easier to put on and off one-handed than the stock gear was -It's easy to adjust the friction and so far I haven't had to readjust it a single time after a couple months -And it's just comfy. If I needed another one tomorrow I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again.

Lincoln or nothing!
This headset works and feels great in my Viking 3350 hood and as for functionality it is better than the headset I had in it from 10yrs ago! Lincoln Electric has come a long way in the years with new and improved machines and the headgear they provide. This keeps the weight of an already lightweight hood spaced out on the head better and the comfort is great. Would definitely recommend this to anyone in the trade or even a hobbyist

Works Perfect!
My wife is a Dental Hygienist and due to her profession and COVID-19 face shields are required Protective gear. Due to the shortages of face shields what was being supplied was a clear piece of plastic about as thin as a piece of paper that has a strap and a foam block glued to it. Needless to say it was not comfortable and also required her to wear a cap which made her hot. The other thing is Dental loupes could not be worn because of how close to the face the shield was. I had a safety shield used in construction I thought would fit the bill. It had the same problem with being to close to the face. It is also quite a bit heavier. I removed the headgear that came with the shield, made some aluminum brackets that attached to the shield at the temple area and extended in the direction of the back of the head, only about an inch or so. This headgear attached to the brackets I made and allowed for fine tuning the distance from the face. What is also awesome is the single knob to tighten and loosen the headgear. When tightened she could literally be upside down and the shield would not fall off. It holds the shield from moving, so much so that I attached a small spot headlight to the shield (spot is only 1.5" x 1.5" at 3' away). The single knob also make it far easier to deal with contamination as only a single hand is needed to remove the headgear. This is a HUGE deal when working in an environment that has possible virus contamination. My wife has gotten many comments about the shield and headgear. Maybe I should start making these things.....

Does the job
5/8 sq hole with an 1/8 notch. That will make this headgear fit any hood. I slid this on a pipeliner hood very comfortable.

Tightening know
Had for one week. Use my hood daily as a welder should, and this broke on me first thing this morning… it’s very comfortable and I like the design and style but kind of need this to be a better design
