Beautiful, but the USA boxing logo was nowhere to be found

Amazing product, beautiful protection, great fit, and amazing price, but it didn’t come with the USA boxing logo, which I don’t really mind because I use this one for sparring and use a open face for competing, but the advertising said it had the logo so that’s why I’m giving it 4 stars

So Good That My Coach Confiscated It

Prior to purchasing the Ringside Competition headgear, I had being using a similar version made by Twins Special. However, in the absence of foresight, I purchased the Twins Special headgear in red. As red isn't a neutral color, I needed to find a solution ahead of a soon approaching tournament, as it was possible that I may fight out of the blue corner. As a last minute purchase and with very limited options available, I ordered the Ringside Competition headgear for potential use at a recent Muay Thai tournament. Given this was my first experience with this brand and therefore personally untested, I was a tad concerned and had my reservations considering some the reviews - particularly those related to the chin strap length. As experience would prove, those concerns were without merit. Three of my teammates and I shared my single purchase of the Ringside Competition headgear (totally unplanned) throughout the duration of the tournament, totaling 9 fights. With each of us fighting in different brackets, under different weight classes, having different fight styles, and facing opponents of different experiences levels, this headgear held up without issue and actually received glowing remarks from each of the guys. Unanimously, we regarded this headgear as being comfortable, lightweight, non-obstructing, and uncompromisingly secure (meaning it didn't move even after taking direct blows or during the clench) when properly adjusted. Neither of us, including a super heavyweight having a full head of hair found issue with the chin strap, its length, and/or its closure mechanism. In fact, at the conclusion of the tournament, our coach kindly confiscated the headgear for use as the fight team's community headgear in future competitions. I wasn't particularly pleased about it, but we are a team. Leaving me with my only dislike - the need for me to repurchase the headgear to replace the one now having been "donated" to the gym. Once the disposable funds become available, it is actually my intention to order (4) more of this headgear - one in black, white, red, and blue.

Great Helmet But the Mexico Eagle & Snake are Not Colored In.

I am giving this four stars. All around the helmet is great, it is made very well, the quality is excellent, the sizing is exactly as described, I am suggesting this helmet to my fellow boxing friends.I felt that the helmet is secure and the chin strap is nicely placed so I don't feel like I am choking. Also, the leather is soft but the padding very firm. Note, I didn't get a chance to workout or spare in this helmet, yet. I purchased the Mexico style helmet and when I received it the eagle and snake were not colored in and looked cheaply placed. I have returned that style for the blue version and plan on leaving an updated review once I get a chance to actually workout in it. Once again I would like to reiterate that the quality and construction of this helmet is solid. I am just disappointed with our the center designed turned out not looking as clean as the image on the post.

Great protection

This head gear is approved for USA boxing sanctioned events. It is comfortable, doesn't slip, and allows good visibility. I used this for sparring boxing and mma rounds and it held up perfectly.

Not sure if the logo is meant to be upside down….the craftsmanship and materials seem fine but it’s meant to take shots, not for modeling.

Fits a big head!

Decent

Provides good protection. I got hit on the head pretty hard for my Muay Thai leveling test, and this helped a lot. It's a bit loose fit according to my head size, but it seems I can adjust it with the string on top. The only thing that bothers me a bit is the chin strap. If you have it snug with your head at neutral position, then it fights you when you're trying to keep your chin down. The belt-like metal ring clip design for the chin strap also makes it a bit hassle to put it on and take off. The ring seems to be just carbon steel, since it's got some rust on it from my sweat just after a couple of weeks.

Had manufacturing flaw

This head gear is leather lined not felt lined. Is of high quality and a great look. However, this specific unit had a crease/pucker in the leather seam in the right cheek protector which caused abrasion and bruising on my face. I’ve always used felt lined head gear and although the leather does absorb less sweat, I find it slips around unless worn very very tight. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Chin strap could be longer but....

I bought this helmet (as part of 1 of 2 sets of helmets and gloves for my boyfriend) and my boyfriend has an extra big head, that being said some big cheeks too. However, this fit! The chin strap could be extended a bit longer for a perfect fit, but honestly, I didn’t think this particular helmet would fit circumference wise to begin with. Im impressed, and so is he. He loves it and he’s going to customize the chin strap.

Quality headgear.

Fits my jumbo head

Haven’t sparred with it yet, but feels comfortable and good protection. I was amateur boxer for years. Most important.. It fits my big noggin. Thought I’d let all others with a head of epic proportions know ????
