My experience with sippy cups
Having been told that a baby should drink atleast 2oz or 60 ml of water every day let me share my experiences here with different cups and also sharing which one encourages my baby to drink the said limit! Open cup My baby is so much into drinking thru an open cup. She likes to see water coming inside to her mouth. But she plays and spills a lot of water. Although I know open cup is what is recommended for their dental hygiene it's really very difficult to change their clothes every time we offer water or to wear a bib for drinking just water. So I offer her open cup when she's on highchair and bib on! Otherwise it's these sippy cups. I'd rate open cup 6/10 Philips Avent trainer cup They have two nozzles to initially familiarize the bottle with a nipple to make the baby like it and then change to a spout so they will try to use it. The sippy spout has a very large opening that whenever my baby takes and shakes it, water spills all over and it did not work out. However it has measurement scale which is good and a good handle! I d rate it 1/10 for a 6 month old baby Munchkin trainer cup This came without a special spout. It is more like an open cup but won't spill and the baby has to suck to drink from it unlike an open cup. My baby did not understand it has to be sucked! 3/10 for 6 months old baby Nuby cup Surprisingly my baby chose this one. This has a big spout so I did not expect that my baby would like it but she likes it. It has weighted bottom to the straw and it makes the drinking easier. But it spills a lot and never suitable for travel. It doesn't have measurement on it and the bottle could be a little smaller. Handles are good and gives a good hold! I'd rate it 8/10 for a 6 month old baby Munchkin latch The spout looks big but it's so soft and almost similar to the nipple. For transition from breast to sippy cup this is perfect. It has the handle and it gives perfect hold and can be removed when the baby is trained to carry without a handle also! But if your baby is already trained with a cup and you chose this to change it, it's not the best! Doesn't spill!! 9/10 for 6 months old. 4/10 for 9 months and above Munchkin trainer cup Here comes the munchkin cup without handles. That's the one that works now for my 10month old baby. Her interest towards open cup is still the same. So I use it both as a open cup and closed one when she's using it herself! She is not on fleek with handling without handles but she's adorably practicing! But she learnt how and likes to drink with the bottle. And it's dentist approved! 9/10 for a 10 month old

My breastfed baby took this over any bottle
I was desperate because my breastfed 8 month old refused every and any bottle. I finally decided to try a sippy cup & with a little bit of a fight- he took it! Now it’s no problem. I do wish it was silicone but can’t be picky when you get some relief!

Baby drank from cup successfully!
My grandson is an almost 6 month old boy who is breastfed and is starting to eat some solid food, however his mama needs a break and has tried to use various bottles but he doesn’t like any of them. So I found this sippy cup on Amazon and read the reviews. She finally got him to try it as she put her breast milk in the cup. He couldn’t get enough and he nearly drank 3 ounces of breast milk in the sippy cup! Success!

Awesome bottles, and great customer service to order more spouts!
These cups are great - we have been using them as bottles for our infants and transitioned to the ‘Transition’ cup - which is really just a different nipple/spout - for both our daughters. That is now just under 5 years. They are super easy to clean and they hold up really well. The nipples eventually give out - either from long term use or the kids chewing on them as they teeth. The valve at the bottom also eventually starts to leak but it takes forever, esp if you only handwash them. The dishwasher will make the valve harder and thus wear it out faster. But overall, I’ve only had to purchase replacement valves once in 5 years! I like the valve concept because it helps with the relief of pressure while feeding. It works perfectly and I saw much less gas/burping with this bottle than several others I tried over the years. This is really my one and only go-to bottle. For the transition spout/nipple, that’s my only complaint - there are no replacements available. I’ve re-purchase the whole bottle to get more spouts for the post infant nipple stage. I went to look again today if Munchkin ever decided to sell them and found a Q&A with a customer service number to contact Munchkin about it. I texted them a request and they confirmed they don’t sell the replacements but asked me some info about my purchases and date codes on my bottles, and then sent me out 3 replacement spouts at no charge. It took under 30min of my time in total, which could have been faster if I had better eyesight! The codes they asked for are really small so I had to really work to read them and provide to the customer service rep. Whoever was helping me was awesome, fast and really helpful. Their SMS number is 805.344.2229. I did suggest they sell the spouts as I would happily have paid for them, but it’s obviously not a decision this rep can make on their own but they said they would make a suggestion again to their team. Give it a try yourself and maybe after giving them away enough times, they will opt to sell them!

Refused bottle but loves this cup
I just received this sippy cup 2 days ago, but wanted to write this review since my daughter has started using it right away. My daughter is 6 months old. We introduced the bottle at 3 weeks old and she never really took to it. She would often refuse the bottle and nurse for hours once I was home. We tried several different brands and techniques, and also worked with a lactation consultant to try and get her to take the bottle. She just hated it and preferred the breast. My daughter is 6 months old now and I introduced this sippy cup 2 days ago. She immediately understood and started using it by herself! I started with just a few ounces of water and let her play with it. I didn't show her how to use it. She loved playing with it, and after a few hours I showed her the sippy part and tilting it up. She has figured out how to use this on her own in just two days and she isn't mad at it like she was the bottle. The reason I gave this cup 4 stars is it does leak a tiny bit. She has squeezed the sippy part when it was upside-down and it has leaked. I also think it's pretty big for her 6 month hands to hold, but she still does it! It'll be something to grow into. Overall I definitely recommend this cup. After her bottle refusal I was worried to leave her. I love that she's interested and loves using this cup in just 2 days! It has taken stress off of me if I leave the house now.

Buen vaso entrenador
El vaso es bonito y resistente, el detalle es la valvula de abajo hay que tener mucho cuidado de cerrarla bien por que si no se fuga el agua. El detalle de las agarraderas hace muy fácil la transición para los bebés.

Excelente y no escurre!
Me gustó mucho! Creo que compraré otro.

The best training sipper in the market
This is the best training sipper for breast fed babies. I started using it when my daughter turned 6 months old and both of us love it! No spill and super easy to clean, it is a must buy!!
