COULD NOT LOVE MORE!!!!! USED WITH A FLANNEL DUVET COVER. THIS IS THE LIGHTWEIGHT VERSION.
I purchased this at a quarter of the retail price and could not be happier! I wanted ALL COTTON. That means, cotton cover and cotton-filled. I found out this is called "lofted cotton fill" or "cottonloft". This is the LIGHTER WEIGHT "blanket" but they do offer a MEDIUM WEIGHT blanket. This can be used as a duvet insert. I also have a washable wool duvet insert that I can't fit into my washing machine so I will have to take the the big laundry mat, bring home, and hang across two folding drying racks to dry. It will take a while to air dry. SO, I needed something to use in the meantime. I also purchased a lightweight flannel duvet cover so I can alternate with the one I already have. I tend to sleep hot sometimes and can get overheated quickly. However, I do NOT like to be cold. I set our thermostat on 70 last night (with all our ceiling fans still going) and used this combo with our dogs also in the bed with us. VERY COMFY!!! I got warm a couple of times and just moved it over a little for a short time and was fine. I know this will work great for FALL and WINTER in the flannel duvet cover and it a regular cotton duvet for SPRING and SUMMER!!! I'm a very happy camper, having paid a total of around $25 bucks for this from the Amazon Warehouse because it was a return. When I got it, it looked brand new and in the package like it had never been even taken out. This was the twin size since we have a king and my husband and I use our own duvet and insert (with our dogs piled in-between us!!! This way, a large king comforter over all of us doesn't get too hot and doesn't leave us without enough comforter to pull over us from the sides!!!! I will also be buying one for my husband. Retail, these costs $105 bucks. You can find them around $80 though for the twin. They are not thick but they are warm. I cannot stand polyester. It makes me sweet and gets very uncomfortable. It's a synthetic material. I can't stand faux sherpa and fleece. I won't use goose down because the claims of ethical treatment is total BS. Almost all of the supplied feathers and down are from China and most those comforters are also made in China (like almost everything else). The ethics guidelines are bypassed, everything's on the downlow. I will not sleep with a "bloody death comforter". Anyway, my husband and I feel much better with this. The wool duvets we have are old, handed down duvets. These are just as good and better because they are not animal products and feel great.

Misleading- not the cottonpure duvet you may be expecting
I currently own a cottonpure duvet that I bought at Costco about a year ago. I fell in love with the brand and was looking for another. From the moment you open the box, the label says Cotton Loft and not pure. I was super confused bc on Amazon it clearly says CottonPure. This one is also advertised as CottonPure so I purchased it only to discover it is about 1/3 to half as thick and substantial as the other one I own. It feels like tissue paper compared to the one I bought a year ago and love. I do not know how they get away with the misrepresentation, but do not be fooled. This duvet is not what you are expecting.

Hard to find!
I bought this 9 years ago and it held up fine (especially for all cotton) but time to replace. That's when I found out it's almost impossible to find a truly 100% cotton in and out. The liners always cotton but not the filler. Too bad I've owned this real cotton comforter because when I bought 6 different ones I knew they all were fakes! The tag even states 100% cotton. Thankfully I found these again as These are the real deal. Con; Not super heavy and maybe too light for some during the winter. I like it cold when I sleep and find this blanket just perfect! Hopes this helps!

Very thin
I have a cotton loft blanket that I purchased from another retailer on clearance a few years ago and I love it. Have been looking for another one for my guest room. This was the cheapest one I found, and in this case, you definitely get what you pay for. I ordered the white and just for the record, it is not white. It is more ivory, but that is not a big deal. It is, however, very thin. I even washed and dried as per the instructions hoping this would "fluff" it up. There are many squares that feel as if they don't have any fill and there were many snags in the material. Overall, just not the best quality. If you are looking for a real cotton blanket that is thin and lightweight, you might give this a try. If not, pass on this one.

Hard to wash
When I received the blanket the review said on the blanket machine washable don't kid yourself it has to go into a triple loader at the laundromat being 70 years old and I don't drive this became a big problem and once you wash it it's nothing but a big wrinkled mess it's not even worth half the price of this the cotton is wonderful the feel is wonderful but the problem of washing it and the being wrinkled mess outweighs the good so sorry I was hoping for a good blanket.

Amazing all cotton comforter
I first got the queen medium weight version of this blanket from Walmart.com but it was 88x88 instead of 90x90 like this blanket. It ended up being too short on my bed. My mattress is only 13 in high so not crazy high. So I returned it to walmart and found this one. This one is the perfect length. It covers all sides nicely and it that perfect boxed cotton comforter I wanted. A little on the thin side but I sleep very warm so it works great! Some people complain about the crinkly noise it makes. I don't mind it, I actuall kind of like it. Almost makes it feel high quality and once washed it was not as noisey. Great buy for the price. Exactly what I wanted!

Great blanket
I was a little hesitant to purchase this despite the many positive reviews because of some of the negative comments. However, I am glad that I gave it a try. It is a great blanket. The one I received did not have an odor. I washed it on delicate in cool water with white vinegar and a few drops of essential oil in the fabric softener cycle and dried it on low with wool dryer balls. There was some shrinkage but the blanket was generously sized so it still fits. Keep in mind that this is a blanket - not a comforter- so it may not cover like a comforter. It ended up the perfect size for me since I put a pretty coverlet over it. The cotton filling stayed in place. While the fabric is crisper than a sateen, it is soft and comfortable. The weight is good for year-round use in the mid-Atlantic region.

Nice
Nice weight and thickness but A little stiff on the outer material, I put a duvet cover anyways and am hoping it softens as it breaks in and gets washed.
