Looks great, works great!
This is the second Cooks Standard product I have purchased. I was so impressed with the first 12" stainless fry pan that I didn't hesitate to purchase this wok. I often purchase items that have been returned to Amazon to save money and have never been disappointed. State like new condition and it was. The wok is big (13") at the rim. The bottom is flat and about 6" wide. Will fit any size, large or small burner. I use an electric stove. Sits flat with no rocking. Has a high domed lid that would be excellent when adding foods like cabbage that would cook down. Many used other than stir frying. Even deep frying works well. High sides eliminates splatter. There is a video review on youtube of this exact product. Would buy again, and again!

Great wok!
Its large and heavy duty. It cooks great and can hold a lot of food. Fully metal so you can put the lid on and keep warm in the oven. I havent had any scratching like others have said but I only use bamboo utensils on it so I wouldnt know. Metal tools scraping on metal surfaces leave scratches, yeah.

Perfect for electric stove top
Picked this up to use on an electric stove top. Heats up nicely, stable on the stove top. Good Handle to control the pot. Very easy to clean yet has no coating so it is great for high heat cooking!

Big, beautiful pan, with a comfortable handle
The pan is beautiful. Polished handle and exterior. Brushed interior. The rivets appear to be stainless, with polished caps inside. The lid fits well. I was torn between a 5 quart skillet and this. I don't have room for both. I went with this because it seemed more versatile. The handle is so much more comfortable than those from All Clad, Cusinart, Calaphon, etc. When I was at the store, it was hard for me to believe how uncomfortable those companies' handles are. This is important because the pan weighs 4 pounds (actually 3lb 15oz). It is easy to handle using both handles, but is pretty heavy for lifting one handed. The handle is identical to the one on the 8 inch skillet. This pan is my general workhorse. The flat part of the bottom is a bit smaller than a skillet, so crowding can be an issue. If I'm just trying to brown something, I use a regular skillet for the wider bottom. I really like the high sloping sides that keep food in the pan when I'm stirring, so I tend to use it even if I don't need something big. It is perfect for things that cook down a lot: greens, chutney, etc. I haven't used it in the oven much yet, but I'm glad it has a stainless lid so I can go above 350F. I use it on a gas range. The handle stays cool where you're supposed to grab it. The heat is evenly distributed on the bottom. It browns things nicely. The sides cool gradually as you move away from the flat part. It cleans with minimal effort if you follow the guidelines mentioned in other reviews. This is a big pan. Make sure you have room for it. Some additional dimensions: * Pan is 3 3/4 inches deep * Pan is somewhere around 4 1/2 quarts capacity with an inch of depth to spare. 5 quarts is 3 inches deep. 4 quarts is 2 1/2 inches deep, 2 quarts is 1 1/2 inches deep * Lid dome is 3 1/2 inches high at the center. There's room for a chicken in there. * Someone else reported the flat part of the bottom is 9 inches. That's about right, forgot to measure it.

Perfect Base Diameter for My Glass Stovetop! Nice Depth! Beautiful Domed Lid!
First of all, I was very impressed that such a large pan arrived so well packed and in pristine condition! Here are some other reasons why I am so happy with this purchase: 1. All of my cookware is Tramontina 18/10 Stainless Steel Tri-Ply Clad, and I love them, but they do not make a stainless steel clad wok. The Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 13-inch Wok looks very similar to the Tramontina line. So displaying it in my kitchen with the rest of my cookware will work out great. I just need to find a space for it, as it is quiet large with the lid. So excited! 2. Due to a wok's outside diameter, I cannot fit one on my smaller burners on the back of my Kenmore glass top stove, as it will hit the back where the controls are. The only way I can use a wok/wok-like pan on my stove, is to get one that has a base diameter that will fit one of my front burners. The smallest burner on the front of my stove is 8 1/2" (my stove manual says I cannot use a pan that is more than one inch larger or smaller than that). Every wok I've found has too small of a base diameter to fit on my front burner (5 1/2-6 1/2" - Calphalon, All-Clad, etc.). The Cooks Standard Multi-Ply Clad Stainless-Steel 13-inch Wok was the ONLY stainless steel clad wok that would work, as the part that actually touches the stove is exactly 7 1/2", then it gradually curves out from there. 3. I am also very impressed with the depth of this wok! It can hold a lot of food! The height of the pan, measuring vertically down from the top side of the rim to the stove surface, is 3 and 7/8 inches. 4. The pan is very well balanced, has a nicely shaped handle, and a wonderful helper handle! 5. And lastly, which I think is the most impressive about this wok, is the beautiful domed cover! What a showpiece, as well as a functional pan that is fun to cook in! The mirror finish on the cover, a well as the pan is just gorgeous! UPDATE (12/13/2013)! I have now purchased two of the steamers that are meant to fit on this pan (I stack them)! They are HUGE and hold a lot of food!! See "Cooks Standard NC-00247 Steamer Insert for Chef's Pan, 13-Inch/32cm." I purchased them when the price was $20.99 each, plus shipping. Previous to that, they were around $17-18.00. Now they are $30.00 each, plus shipping. Get them before they go any higher!! These will only add to the many things that you can do with these pans!! P.S. I really love cooking with this pan!! I just store the steamers on top of this pan on my shelf in my kitchen - the steamers fit perfectly on the pan, and the lid fits perfectly on the steamers! Makes a great set (and a great conversation piece too)!

I love this pan!
Very high quality pan. I use it for making curry, which is not easy on an electric hob. Heat is even and you even get some heat transferred up the sides. It sticks less than other stainless steel pans. This is now my favorite pan. Highly recommend this pan and I’ll go back to this brand based on the quality.

This wok is multi functional and an excellent investment
This is one of the best woks I have purchased. It is heavy duty and is hardy. No matter the degree of heat you are cooking, the handle doesn’t at all get heated up and you can use your bare hand to lift the wok to transfer it onto another burner or elsewhere. It is very multifunctional. I have to date used it to make Indian curries, stir fries, Chinese noodles and pasta. It is like having 1 pot that fulfills all your cooking needs. The picture I am showing you is 2 weeks of using the pot daily and it is as good as new. It is also easy to clean and maintain..

Perfect size for us
- Thick metal build - flat bottom is great for stovetops - nice finish - the tall lid is a great addition I haven't tried on the stove yet but included pictures with banana for scale.

The no maintenance Wok
My wife was interesting in a Wok for Christmas so I spent quite a bit of time researching options. There were two key points for my decision making process: 1) It needed to work well on our induction stove. 2) I wanted a no maintenance solution. The second one was the most important because I wasn't very interested in having to "season" the wok. I looked at cast iron, carbon steel and stainless steel options. In the end, for the reasons stated above, I opted for the stainless option. No muss, no fuss, works perfectly with our stove. Other things to think about are size and weight. The cast iron woks seemed quite heavy and I didn't think my wife would enjoy dealing with that weight. I read lots of discussion around 12-inch vs. 13-inch vs. 14-inch and felt that splitting the difference would be wise. 95% of the time we are cooking for four people and I feel strongly that cooking for 6-8 would easily be possible with the 13-inch Wok. The build quality on this is very good. We are quite happy with the purchase.

Excellent wok
This is an excellent product. It is worth the price and the wok has a nice weight to it. With the steel dome, it looks beautiful and performs the task very well.
