Quietest compressor out there! Not a lot of air, but very quiet
Great little compressor! It’s amazingly quiet. Doesn’t have much air capacity, but I can fill my garden cart tires easily (car tires take a little patience), and running a 18 ga Brad nailer is no problem (though makes the quiet a bit superfluous). This thing is so quiet I can stand next to it while running and have a conversation in normal tones/volume. It’s about as loud as a louder fridge. Doesn’t put out enough air to run most tools like air ratchets or impact wrenches, or a sander, but I love it for the brad nailer. Should be just enough to run a small airbrush as well.

You get what it states.. it's Great.
I love this little gem, it is so quiet and fills up so fast. It's perfect for my small projects.

Fantastic compressor for airbrushing! 20+dBA quieter than pancake!
The media could not be loaded. At 140-160$ this compressor is a fantastic deal from an established brand for airbrushing models/small scale painting. It's quiet, ridiculously quiet. Roughly only 30dBa over ambient and 20+ quieter over a standard pancake compressor. This is a trade with airflow however, so I wouldn't buy this if you need high CFM to run any heavy duty tools. But for painting this is far better than every other compressor marketed at airbrushing at the price point. Most others have even smaller motors, are louder or have pathetic tanks. I plan on adding a spare tank someday when I need it. There are some caveats; You won't get far trying to run high pressure tools, painting only needs 15-30PSI and this is perfect for that. But anything more and you will run out of air and burn up the motor faster. Which brings me to the next point, this motor gets hot when run frequently. Really hot! The motor kicks back in around 90 pounds and the tank only holds 125. So you either need to put a fan directly on it and this makes it a non issue. Or turn the motor off and only turn it on manually after you exhaust the tank. There are some bad QC issues, the compressor does not ship in a box with any padding. Only enclosed in a bag. My first compressor arrived with a broken manifold. Both gagues would not function. The regulated pressure was stuck at 50 minimum and the tank gauge would stop at 60 pounds. So I attempted to contact Hitachi and still have not received a response after 3 weeks. I returned it to Amazon 2 weeks ago for another unit. I hope Amazon doesn't just relist that unit. I put a sticky note in the box that stated the problem as well as a little padding. If you get it , exchange it!

Super quiet
When I read the reviews I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Noise level is very subjective but I was amazed at how quiet this compressor is. The compressor would not even impact the music playing on the job. I could listen to my tunes and keep on working.

The little air compressor that does!
Every positive review you read of this compressor is right on. Based on those good reviews I felt comfortable buying this air compressor. Because I was doing some framing with dimensional lumber, I decided to try this little thing for the fun of it. I coupled it with a short hose to my metabo auxiliary tank that I already had, the one I've included a picture of. I found that with the extra pressure maintenance of the extra tank, this little compressor will keep up with framing as long as you're not doing rapid production jobsite framing of entire walls. We were doing a roof overhang makeover that required a fair amount of figuring, cutting, aligning, etc between nail shots, so we weren't pushing the air needs to an extreme. I have another large 220V compressor that will keep up with all but heavy air use associated with complete repaint coat of a vehicle. This little compressor will be handy for many remote applications, especially if you have a quality auxiliary tank. FWIW, I filled the tank with the other compressor so I started out with a full tank that I hooked the little Metabo to, then started the framing work. So the little Metabo didn't have to work to fill up the tank from the very beginning. No overheating or circuit breaker tripping at all, so very pleased with the results. This is a good little compressor. You'll like it!

Exceptionally quiet
I bought this to replace a California Air tools compressor that had the motor fail. The similarities are strong. I like the semi-enclosed design better than the previous unit I had. Fewer protuberances to get tangled in. This unit has a steel tank that adds a few pounds over the CAT unit, but not do much as to really notice. It is exceptionally quiet. The capacity is enough for filling tires, air staplers, dust blowing… probably not enough for any sort of extended use of high power air wrenches. But that’s not it’s intended use. One warning- the suction cup hood it nicely on a smooth floor, soooo, when you pick it up, it initially seems quite heavy, then the feet release, and you look like you were trying to do some Olympic event, like compressor tossing.

So quiet.
Love how quiet this unit is. Works well with pin nailers. Wish it had a little bigger holding tank But overall a great little compressor.

Best small compressor.
This is a thing of beauty. Just got this to replace an old CH that bit the dust. This is a well built machine. It's super quiet which I am not use to. The last compressor I had was so loud I could not hear myself think. I was so happy with this marvelous machine I made my kids go out to the garage to bow down before it and pay it the respect it deserves. They had tears in their eyes because they had not ever seen such perfection. Drop what your doing and go purchase one of these right now. Second thought buy two and give one to a friend, spread the joy around.

No use
I ordered this after reading positive reviews and thought it would work for my study project (rotary tools, etc). My hand piece’s recommended pressure is 80 psi. This compressor did not go further than 70 psi and just after working for a few seconds, even that 70 psi fell very low. I contacted their customer service phone number given in their manual. The agent said that probably the meter is faulty and that I should contact the Amazon for return etc. Unfortunately the return window on Amazon website is closed because I tested my compressor a month later as I was sure this compressor would work perfectly because of so many positive reviews. I was not offered any further help. Awful!!! I’ll make sure I never buy any products from this company.

Fills fast, runs quiet like an airbrush compressor
I'm not really experienced with large air compressors and had been living with a broken-out-of-the-box 6 gallon pancake compressor for a couple of years before realizing that maybe it shouldn't work so poorly when my airbrush compressor outclassed it in every way. The only thing good that came out of that anchor weight were the accessories and the tubing which I kept to use with this one. After looking at several different compressors and deciding that for my purposes I didn't need a huge tank (I don't have air tools), I landed on this one and am very pleased with it. I primarily use this compressor as a high-strength air duster for fans, computer parts, etc. as an economic and eco-friendly alternative to buying compressed cans. The compressor is rather comparable to my airbrush compressor, but has a greater capacity and able to produce higher PSI that I'd never put through my airbrush. It has a very quiet (relatively speaking) motor and fills very fast. The tank is small, so constant use can empty it pretty fast, but for working in short bursts, you should be able to maintain a steady reserve at 30-40psi. Downsides are that it doesn't come with anything. No connections, no accessories, etc. It has a quick-connect interface so ensure that whatever tube you pick up can work with it. If you have everything, though, this compressor is a fine choice, especially if you don't want to wake up the whole neighborhood with your projects.

Super Quiet but small tank.
This compressor is the most quiet I've ever owner. I do light house work around the house such as using finishing nailers and using it to fill my car tires. Does a great job at this. lacks in prolonged pressure to use to blow off really dusty surfaces will loose pressure fast at prolonged use. Best suited for quick air bursts for such things as air nailers, blowing up tire, or sports balls. For me its perfect as i only maybe use it a couple times a year so well worth the investment for the long run.

Does as claimed
I was looking for an air supply for trim work having strained my back carting my Makita twin tank around (no shade on that it's a great machine but 4x heavier). The little metabo is excellent. Whisper quiet. Light in weight. Adequate capacity for 18ga nailer on a 25ft 1/4" hose. Seems well made and sturdy. Can drive 9 2"nails at 90psi ( bostich gun) before cycling and keeps up so good for most trim work. Might not be able to run anything much larger but for me handiness and value make it a satisfying choice for a single trim nailer, and other low volume requirements.
