Flimsy
In general its fine, worked well for camping and I get they tried to make it come apart for easy storage but the handle feels flimsy. Not sure how long it will last but my kid enjoyed it

Great popcorn, so much fun
We got this product for our kids for Christmas. My 8 yr son was immediately hooked. He has been making popcorn like crazy. It tastes so good; the oil and a little salt. (Directions on cooking come with the popper.) Such a fun snack and he loves being able to make it himself and share with friends and family. The handle was a little flimsy, so my husband cut off the handle of an old hockey stick and attached it to the popper. Now it is very sturdy and gives a bit more length to the handle as well. This has been good for both cooking popcorn inside in the fireplace and in the yard at our fire pit as well. Looking forward to bringing it camping this summer as well. Well worth the money!

Handle feels cheap
Works and made good popcorn. The kids liked it. The handle feel really cheap. I don’t imagine the handle holding up to long. It already bends a little when you are holding it straight out and the added weight of the popcorn kernels bends it a little more. The handle also doesn’t stay together.

girls and boys in an outdoor survival class loved it. make great popcorn over a fire. be careful opening it, lid sticks a bit and is hot.

Kept collapsing
The handles kept coming apart. One set securely locked but the other set did not. It was hard to open and close. We lost a lot of popcorn due to this. However, it did pop the corn and we had almost no burnt popcorn which was fabulous for our first time making popcorn over the fire.

Twp pc handle
After cooking popcorn over fire when i went to open lid on pan the handle came apart and i was left with hot pan distaster. I am lucky to have a brother who was able to machine make a one pc sturdy handle to never get in bad situation again.

This product is not worth buying!
I bought 2 poppers for my grandsons and they have been the most disappointing item received. I thought Coleman was a great camping manufacturer? The inside and outside black painted melted off while in the campfire. Leaving paint particles throughout the popcorn. I double checked the instructions and it was definitely for campfires. With COVID19 taking up our lives the return date is over and I can not return these items. Most disappointed

Broke on first use! *Warranty service good*
UPDATE: Dealing with the Coleman warranty service was pretty easy, so I bumped up my initial 1-star review. .... I still don't think the handle is built to last, but at least Coleman will stand by their product and getting a replacement under warranty was not difficult at all. Fingers crossed this one works out better. ------ Unfortunately didn't get around to trying it as it was bought last October for this year's camping season, so now the return window is closed and I'm left with a small pile of cheap scrap metal. The handle piece is overly complicated and incredibly weakly put together. The handle is in 2 pieces to keep it small enough to fit inside the popper for storage, but the poorly welded clips that are supposed to hold it together never really stood a chance of lasting very long. Very disappointed with this. I expect a lot better from Coleman.

Total garbage
I would rate this no stars if i could. I bought this for my kids and was a completely ruined after one use. The popcorn contained paint clumps in it from the inside of the maker. I am so disappointment Coleman put this product out. Wont buy another coleman product again and the return window is closed.

Popped popcorn over the campfire PERFECTLY!
Pros: If you follow the included directions this popper makes delicious popcorn over the fire/stove. It's fun, easy to use and fairly easy to clean up. Cons: Like other buyers have stated, I was a little disappointed in how thin/cheaply this unit was made, but at twenty bucks, it's not too bad. Assembly is awkward at best - in putting the handles together, mine were so snug that one section didn't quite fit properly, I was worried about bending/breaking it. Disassembling it for storage is out of the question. Verdict: Fun to use, decent little corn popper, so so build quality. You get what you pay for.
