Read Ad Carefully

Great item, but one small problem. I needed an outdoor cord for a lawnmower. I specifically searched Amazon for a Heavy Duty Outdoor extension cord. The ad mentioned several times that this met my needs. Unfortunately, the label on the delivered item says LIGHT DUTY. After rereading the ad, Light Duty is mentioned, but IMHO heavy-duty is also emphasized. Be careful. JS

weatherproof outdoor extension cord

I bought this to use with my bug zapper which is placed a long way from the porch. So far, this has been great. I unplug the bug zapper for giant storms but the rest of the time, it stays plugged in.

This cable is VERY reasonably priced, no bells and whistles but exactly what we need.

This is a daily use cord for us. We purchased in the 80ft length and use it for a large Toro weed blower in our horse barn to blow out the center alleyway of debris at the end of the day. It get's dragged up an down the concrete, gravel and then rolled back up on a spool at the end of the night. We also borrow it from the barn for outside household projects and run saws and drills with it. Very well made and has a great feel to it and not quick to kink. Love that it is offered in the 80ft as 50ft is always that last 10 feet or so too short, and 100ft gives you a mound of unused cable to work with! I have used the lighted cables in the past, but really that is a bell and whistle we don't really need but have paid so much more for as the hardware stores are stocked with them. This cable is VERY reasonably priced, no bells and whistles but exactly what we need.

Great product and exactly as expected

I wanted a green extension for my front garden area & this worked perfectly! It's a lot longer than I actually needed, but better than being too short, lol. If I had to order again, I'd probably buy one with 2 plugs instead of one, but this is perfect for what I needed it for and it blends in with the greenery much better than the orange one that I had previously.

Doesn't fit an older weed wacker

This extension cord didn't fit my older Black and Decker weed wacker. It's important to note before you buy this brand that the part that plugs into the weed wacker has a bump on it, preventing it from making contact. The plug is too tall for the B&D opening that holds the prongs.

Good cable, may not fit all receptacles due to "nub", easy to remove, works great outside.

My only complaint (and reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 stars) is that there is a "nub" on the male plugin end of the cable. It made it so that I was not able to plug this into a timer receptacle, and I ended up sawing off the nub. It is just rubber/plastic, the same material as the cable, and the nub didn't serve any purpose for me (I imagine it could help you to plug in or remove the cable if you have the need for assistance with that). Otherwise, this has been outside in the rain for the past few months and it is doing great.

Exactly as advertised. Longer length than standard outdoor lighting extension cords. Green colour of cord blends in with landscaping. Appears to be good value for the money.
