Great overcoat for rainy & cold places5
This product surprised me because they fit so well as an overcoat to my suit jacket as advertised. The length is perfect & keeps me dry from rain. Also keeps me warm. Am so happy with what I got. Would be nice if the zipper can work both ways

Not quite water proof
I had high hopes from other reviews... But alas, it is not water proof Both shoulder seems leak after 20 min in the rain It's warmer than expected though...

Gorgeous but a slim cut so watch the sizing
This Bonded Nylon Car Coat from Cole Haan Signature is a warm, well made coat that's surprisingly elegant in a understated way. I'm not sure why it's called a bonded nylon coat because it's 100% polyester according to the label in the coat. The outer shell is a very tightly woven, matte finish fabric that shields against wind and is water repellent. Water beads and rolls right off. The lining in the sleeves and body is a slippery, lozenge quilted polyester. The hood and the upper back is lined in a grey, slightly brushed, flannel-like fabric that is soft and feel good on your skin. It also serves to keep the coat from slipping around on your shoulders. The sleeves are straight with no inner cuff or any kind of cinch on the outside. The coat has a single, thick zipper closure with a flap cover that snaps into place. The standing collar extends up to the ears when zipped completely for warmth. Inside, there is a drawstring at the waist for a more fitted look, if you prefer. There is one zippered pocket at the left chest that's generous enough for even a large cell phone. There are two large pockets with flap and button closure located at the right and left hip. These are bound with black, faux leather for added interest. The buttons are black with the words Cole Haan Signature discretely running around the button. These pockets also feature a second pocket for warming your hands! The hand warming pockets have channel quilting at the edge for durability and and style. There is one inner pocket at the left chest that is also generous enough for a larger cell phone. It has a bound opening and no closure. There is a zip off hood that is fitted to the head and has a drawstring and a two snap closure. It also has a channel quilted wind shield around the face. There is a hanging loop at the inside neck. Like most Cole Haan garments for men, the cut is slim. If you have an appreciable belly, you'll likely need to size up. My husband is 6', 195 lbs and this fits him very well but it's close fitting in the midsection as he has a little extra "padding" there. I had my 6'1", 150 lb son try it on and the body fit him great (enough room for a sweater underneath) but the sleeves were too short. He has exceptionally long arms so be warned if you do, too. Despite being fairly lightweight, this coat is surprisingly warm. Tonight, it is 31F and my husband said he was perfectly comfortable in this coat with regular shirt on underneath. I doubt it would be enough if it was in the lower 20s, though, unless he had additional layers on underneath. Because of the fabric content, this coat is machine washable in cold water and tumble dry on low heat. I love this because life is messy and so is my husband. As a side note: if you have pets, you should know the outer fabric picks up pet hair like crazy. You'll need a lint roller if you share your life with furry friends. My husband is very pleased with this coat as it looks dressy enough for business wear without the hassle of dry cleaning a wool coat. Plus the lines are very slimming, which is always a plus.

Light weight,and nice design.
Not too heavy, nice design, don't know if it's warm enough, but I like it. The reason it gets 3 star only is because it was repacked in the plastic bag and attached WITH HAIRS. Already contacted the customer service, hope I can get the replacement.

Great, well-made functional Winter Car coat, made to not encumber you while driving, but still be warm enough for light Winters.
Very nice Winter coat. I like my Winter coats light but warm, and while there are going to be warmer coat when the weather gets below zero, this one will work find for the majority of Fort Wayne Winter's and you can always wear a sweater or long johns if it is severely cold. This is a coat, it's longer than a jacket, but as a "car" coat it's a bit shorter than a full blown Winter coat. I used to wear a WW2 circa trench coat in my younger days, with the button in lining, and all the special accessories it weighed about 30 pounds. It was necessary, I think the wind chill traveling through Montana that year was about -120 degrees F. I was riding a bus over Christmas break and even the lined trench coat barely kept me from freezing just going 50 feet to the diner we stopped for lunch at. Despite being lighter and shorter than a trench coat, this "car" coat (also made for freely driving a car) has some of the trench coat features. It has button side pockets and also slip in hand warmer pockets. Not as big as a trench coat, but I'm not carrying ammo or ration packs, so mostly the size is ample. There is a zip up pocket a little higher, maybe a good place for a phone if not too big. There are inner drawstrings near the waist to keep the cold air from rising up in the coat, plus the front opening has snaps and an overlap to protect cold from filtering through the large zipper. On the zipper, it seems hefty enough you probably won't have any problems, you need a larger strong zipper when you sit down with a coat because you'll put stress on it unless you are really skinny when you sit. There is a nice lined hood, and if you want to use with other types of headgear or not at all, it zips off. The coat is one solid color so it's more of an adult design, but I find even teenagers do not always like stripes, patches, bold colors. Gone is the day when your monetary status is defined by your coat (in days gone by, only well to do could use lighter colored coats, because they could afford the cleaning bills, the rank and file wore black, probably not valid in the 21st century). The style is conservative and attractive. Recommended, but based somewhat on region. If you want a Winter coat for Montana, North Dakota, Upper Michigan etc. This won't get you through the cold as well. For Indiana, Ohio, Tenn, Kentucky, Iowa it should be fine so you be the judge. It still works for a lot of those areas when the cold is not maxed out, and given my liking for lightweight coats unless I'm out of doors a lot, I might use this even in the colder states. Just remember to have a back up super coat when the wind chill falls to negative 30 or below.

Coat fits and repels water but was missing some of the promised pockets
Although the coat fits well and sheds water, I was disappointed that it didn't have the promised interior pocket or the hand-warming slide-in pockets. I did find the hood to be a good addition, and the length is just what I wanted.

Amazing fashionable jacket for Canadian winter
This jacket arrived right on time. Super impressed with the quality and cut. My husband is 5"9 and weighs about 180 pounds. The jacket fit well enough where he could also wear a sweater underneath and it would still be comfortable. The material is light and it doesn't "poof" out like other parkas. The hood comes right over your head, which is nice. The length is unique to this jacket and is very nice. Overall, the jacket is sleek and looks fashionable while also keeping him warm.

Sharp looking coat!
Beautiful coat for my adult son. Fits perfectly. This is best as a transitional weather coat. It wouldn't work well in very cold weather, but does the trick during mild winter or fall/spring weather in Alberta.

This jacket is nice and water resistant
This jacket is nice and water resistant. Good for rainy day. Only bad thing is that the pocket in the front is kind of low.
