Comfortable

Though there are many different types, you only need to know is these are the most comfortable. I literally just soaked them in fabric softener when they arrived to soften. They are machine wash and dry. You will be buying more like me so just buy two.

The best I have found so far

The material is much thinner than I was hoping for but at least it is cloth-like and not plastic-elastic-vacuum packing types that are being put forth as thermals these days. I used to get really nice thick soft cloth thermals from Cabela's a couple decades ago -- all have lost their elastic now - and this is the ONLY thermal I have found on the market that begins to come close to that kind of comfortable thermal. Amazingly the old thermals I had were 100% polyester and yet they weren't at all like the silky plasticy things being sold as thermals today, so I am grateful ColdPruf is offering these poly/cotton blend ones. Wishing for a heavier-weight version. I'm 5'3" and 100 lbs and got the size medium which is a touch loose, but comfortable. I don't want skin-clinging "leggings", I want THERMALS!!! So, happy for ColdPruf

A little loose, but decent product.

They are nice thermals, if you're looking for a little something to take the edge off the cold. But they are a little thin, so don't expect to use them for winter camping by themselves under main pants; I wish I had known they had a hierarchy of products (basic-extreme). I ordered a medium, and immediately I could tell they were a little baggy, like legit old-school long underwear, BUT they are comfy. I like the overall shape (especially at the ankles), I think I might have liked a small better. I normally wear a size 8/10. The waistband is snug, and not necessarily flattering, but not uncomfortable. Thinking about functionality, it's perfect; you don't want to have to keep pulling your base pants up while you're trying to do other things. I would have given it 3 stars for the fit, but otherwise I am pretty pleased, not going to bother with returning because they'll work fine, but if I buy more they will be smalls, and probably a couple steps up on their product chart.

SIZE DOWN!

Like other reviewers suggest, this product runs large! According to the ColdPruf size chart, I should wear an XXL--I'm about a size 18. I took a risk and ordered a Large, which fit perfectly. However, these are not form-fitting, so they won't fit smoothly beneath other layers unless the outer layers are baggy--they would probably fit well OVER yoga pants. I slipped these on over bike shorts while camping to stay warm at night. I spent one night (in a down sleeping bag) under the stars/without a tent in about 45-50 degree (F) weather with these pants and a ColdPruf top over bike shorts and a tank and stayed very comfortable. Spent another night inside a tent in the same basic outfit in 40-45 degree weather and didn't even zip up my sleeping bag. Not sure how these would fare in freezing weather without another layer, but they were great for fall camping in the Rockies.

love these

This is my second pair of this brand. love the fit and the warmth. These are my go to brand for cold weather wear. I stay nice and warm in the hunting blind or snow blowing with these. Not bulky and fit well under jeans or snowmobile pants.

Would def buy again

The only reason i didn't give these a 5 star rating is that the fabric attracts lint like crazy. My fluffy cat is all over these. Haha but i love these things to death and they are crazy warm because they are a double layer but breathable. They don't hug your legs like lycra and that okay. I wear these in my old, cold house and I'm always telling myself to buy more! Oh man, i am loving the way they keep me toasty. Nice and long too--I'm 5'8" and they didn't shrink up 5" or anything like some I've owned in the past. I don't use a clothes dryer though, only line dry things.

These are very warm and comfortable. My shop is horribly cold in the winter, so these were nice, layered with other base layers, and sometimes alone, depending on the temperature. I live in Texas. It got as cold as 20 degrees Fahrenheit this past winter, and my shop only ranged 40 to 70 degrees, depending on how cold it was outside. I used to live in Delaware, so after acclimating, a Texas 40 degree day feels as horrible to me as a 20 degree Delaware day did! ...so imagine what 20 degrees feels like! Yes, Coldpruf Base Layers are nice! I have basic tops and bottoms and the ColdPruf Women's Authentic Dual Layer Long Sleeve Crew and the bottoms! Read about the different materials to find which is best for you. There are several types, depending on how active you are and how warm you need to be.

Great for cold temps

I wear these over my base layer during winter running. These have served me well over the years, and are a huge reason that I'm able to run outdoors in the winter. They are not heavy considering the warmth they provide. I have worn these three days a week all winter for the past six years, and am only now purchasing a new pair. That being said, these are not a fashion item. They have the look and fit of a pair of long johns. They'll absolutely keep you warm and comfortable though.

Not good quality. Price reflects quality.

I bought these for cold Canadian winters. The website looked rather enticing and I thought I’d be getting a quality pair of long johns. Not! I washed them twice, worn once. The waistband is already loosing the elasticity and buckling. I walk dogs for a living and therefor am very fit. Not overweight. I bought a size medium which are large on me. They were not too small so there’s no explanation other than the quality is poor. I tend to purchase only Lululemon athletic wear but they don’t sell thermal underwear (long john’s). Please spend your money wisely and don’t make the same mistake I did.

I returned

Product was very thin, not as thermal as I thought, and a very poor fit. Description of the product said size S, but product package said S-M which is a big difference for someone closer to XS, but their sizes I guess are just not inclusive and limited.

Para los fríos del país. No apto climas más fríos.

Pues más o menos. Fuimos a Canadá con mi esposa y compramos desde acá mucha de está marca de ropa que si leen la descripción indica que se ríe del frío la verdad es que si tuvimos frío. Y si piensan que depende de cada persona puede ser, pero encontramos en Canadá mejor ropa super térmica y más calidsña a precio más bajo.

No es precisamente lo que esperaba

Lo compre por que dice que es térmico pero no se siente térmico, es funcional como una pijama común, pero para usarla en el frío no me parece adecuada, me quede con el por que lo use pensando que funcionaria, pero pues lo uso ahora de pijama.
