Long Johns

My husband loves these for work. He is a carpenter and often works outside in the cold New York winters. They are comfortable and cotton like, which he prefers over the nylon type. My only complaint, is I ordered a 2xl and I received a 2xl tall. My husband is 6' 5" 330 lbs and he said they are too big and bunch up at the ankles and he can pull them up to his chest.

One regret—I only ordered one pair!!

Being from the Deep South ("Little Nicky" reference intended!) and living in Buffalo, NY, makes for just a little discomfort in the less-than-hospitable winters of Western New York. I had priced "long johns" locally and, as much as I need the extra layers on my legs, retail prices were just too rich for my taste. So off to Amazon I went. ColdPruf is not a brand I recognized. The price was not quite half what similar products go for locally so I only ordered one pair. Hindsight naturally tells me I should have ordered a couple because of Amazon's stellar return policy but that's how you learn, right? Due to certain medical conditions I have, sizing is always tricky for me. I'm 6'4" and ~270 pounds so I ordered a 3XLT even though my regular size is 2XLT. I was pleasantly surprised with these. They're just a little large but, for thermal underwear, that's a good thing no matter what the model in the product image reflects. They arrived just in time for us to get about 6 inches of snow so I put them on and prepared to head outside. The length was spot on. The legs end just below my ankle bone and there's about 0.5 inch of slack around my thighs and lower legs. The waist & crotch are not tight at all and feel extremely comfortable. There's no binding or pinching no matter how I bend at the waist or knees. I spent about ninety minutes shoveling and running a snow thrower with temps in the low teens and 35 mph wind gusts that made it feel like 0 to -5°. I should also mention that I have broken my right leg twice in a total of 4 different places. I have quite a bit of titanium holding my tibia/fibula together and being out in that kind of cold for more than about twenty minutes usually has my leg completely numb below the knee or aching so badly that I have to go inside and get close to a furnace vent. With this underwear on, my leg never bothered me in the slightest. In a word, I was amazed. My only regret is that I only ordered one pair. I tried to order a couple of more but they've been out of stock but I fully intend to buy at least two more ASAP!

Base layer bottom

I work for a company in the grocery section (Fresh food meat area) where I am in and out (about half of my time) of a very cold environment. When in the meat cooler, temperature is 28 to 32 degrees constantly, and in the freezer -20 to -30 degrees. I need warm clothing including warm base layers. I have tried several different makes. My issue is that I am 6'4" and have a lot of trouble finding base layer clothing with long enough inseams so the waistband wont ride down, and the leg cuffs won't ride up. ColdPruf provided that correct sizing. They are warm, they are comfortable, and the waistband stays up even with my bending, stooping, and kneeling on my job. Here is my "one" issue why I didn't give them a "5" on the rating. I have worn them several times, and laundered them several times, and the stitching seems to be tough and intact during this time. The manufacturer needs to have better quality control, or testing procedures on the units themselves. I am going to order another pair and see if the same issue happens or is an ongoing problem. If it is a recurring problem, then I will not order again. Based on the "4" review, I would recommend them to someone else...........make up your own mind, Good luck.

Buen producto.

Son un buen producto. Son cálidos muy útiles para épocas de frío para colocar abajo de un pantalón de mezclilla y evitar el frío de este y del exterior. Solo que deben tener cuidado al elegir la talla ya que no son de licra y si pides una talla muy grande creyendo que se va a ajustar no es así te va a quedar muy olgado. Pero fuera de ese hecho como tal el producto es muy útil y bueno para tener siempre en tu closet.

Sizing is weird and not for mid to extreme cold weather

I bought these for my 6’4”, 220 pound husband and though he normally wears a large I think he could easily have gotten away with a medium in these. They’re quite warm- though for temperatures from -20 to -35 or more I’d probably still wear carhart lined coveralls or something like that. They’re definitely not an extreme cold long underwear and they’re actually quite thin which is great for getting another pair of pants on top as intended.

Cumple a medias

Termicamente, cumple su función, pero necesita resorte en la parte inferior, ya que la entrada a los píes no se da fácilmente, de tal manera que desde el primer uso, casi se rompe, por que esta demasiada estrecha la entrada, que se sulucionaría con resorte, como traen la mayoría de este tipo de pantalones.

Large Tall great for long slim legs

Very happy with the fit of these. Not too tight not too loose. As advertised they are not the warmest but great to keep you comfortable if you are exercising outdoors. If you are standing still in the cold for long periods, I would opt for something else. These are assembled in Mexico from material spun in the USA. Will buy again.

Recomiendo ampliamente!!

Los recomiendo ampliamente, viaje a Canadá y estaba nevando, temperaturas de hasta -18 grados Celsius pero con estas mallas debajo del pantalón que llevaba me sentí muy cómodo y no sentí nada de frío en la parte inferior de mi cuerpo, compré calcetas aparte porque la malla sólo llega hasta el tobillo. Excelente calidad y fácil lavado
