Great, fun way to make camp and fire pit snacks
I love these things! Pies are easy to make and taste great. Use caution as they maintain heat for quite a while, even after after cooking. Also, definitely take care to properly season your pie iron before use. It comes with a booklet that explains that process. I seasoned mine in the oven for better control of temperature. The handles unscrew from the plates making it possible to do so. Bottom line: this is a good buy. Also, you're going to want a jar of apple pie seasoning, some brown sugar, and some applesauce ;)

New favorite camping tool
We used these in a wood burning stove in a cabin. While there were some hot spots just because the stove opening wouldn’t allow for ideal positioning, overall they cooked great. I love them! Make sure you use cooking spray or butter. (But the corner I missed cleaned up pretty easily once cooled)

Bought multiple of these for camping
They work well enough but they are somewhat difficult to clean especially while camping. I still would recommend based on other products out there in the market.

I unscrewed the heads ,cleaned ,rubbed with crisco , and seasoned in 500 degree oven .After reassembling, we enjoyed making different hot sandwiches and dessert pockets. To clean ,soaked heads in sink, then cleaned , and reoiled. They are a great addition to our camp fire suppers

Nice
Family fun at our backyard bonfire, using these campfire gadgets. Made pepperoni pizza sandwiches with them. Did the job nicely. Children were happy! Would recommend this to others.

Good pie baker
It is a great product. We have had a chance to use it a couple of times and it works like a champ. The only criticism is that it doesn't close super smoothly. But, it works, you just have to pay attention while closing it.

Awesome product that delivered
They sold out at my local Canadian Tire and I was so disappointed with a week until our camping trip. I was so happy when I found these on Amazon, great price, and came quick! Product itself was great. I was a bit concerned with the size at first thinking it was quite small, but it actually helped the bread to create a crust all around the pie. It was easy to use, and easy to clean - just make sure you use oil so the pies come out easy!

Better than the "other" Brand!!
Great cast Iron Cooker! I was going to buy another one before I saw this and I'm really glad I got this one! Not only is it less than HALF the price of the other one, but my sister actually had it and we used both, and this one is far, FAR superior. It crimps the bread really well which makes the pies far easier to eat. It also is just slightly smaller than a piece of sliced bread, which ends up being great because it makes the crimping a fantastic seal. Great buy, much better than the "other" brand.

It is not pre-seasoned
After I received it, I washed it with soap. Then I thought it is small enough I can boil it in water to make sure it is clean. When the water started to heat up, a white coating started to appear on the cooker. I let the water boil for a while and took them out. The whole thing was white. I cleaned it as much as I could and you can see white stuff at hard to clean corners. I *think* the white stuff is wax. So it is not pre-seasoned. It was just coated with wax to prevent rusting. Soon it started to turn brown, started to rust. Luckily I didn't start cooking with it. Otherwise I will be eating wax. It is ok to be coated with wax, just have to tell the buyer. I bought cast iron cookware that was coated with wax and that was stated in the product description.

Flavourful County
From desserts to meat and cheese. Whatever you can think of to put between 2 bread slices a cook. Awesome for camping, coat with cooking spray. I used mine on a propane BBQ and worked just as well cooking was a time was a little longer. Takes practice. Very happy

Makes simple camp cooking fun
overall I am happy with the product, I purchased two that I used on a camping trip just days after they arrived. It came with a little booklet with tips and basic recipes, surprisingly it contained no instruction as to how to properly season it, it instead instructed customers to visit their website for instructions, which was extremely inconvenient because our rustic camping location is out of cell phone service area. The other concern is the handles on one set are very rough and appear unfinished. I did enjoy experimenting with them over the next couple of days. A must have in any RV.
