Attractive but wrong volume advertised

We just got this. We washed it and immediately set out to measure its volume. We transferred exactly 2-cups (16-oz) of water from a Pyrex 2-cup measuring cup into the cocotte and it was filled to the brim--nearly overflowing. Then we filled the pot with water to its brim and carefully transferred to a large glass measuring cup. It came up to the 2-cup mark. This is supposed to be 18-oz which would allow cooking 2-cups of food with more than a 10% volume play room. As it is, to cook safely in this, one must use less than 2-cups of ingredients--disappointing. We were going to return this, but for the price, it will still make a cool little summer fruit dish so you can eat fruit outside while limiting flying insects commandeering your dessert (sturdy lid). And it seems well made. A lot of enameled metal dishes have a very thin layer of enamel that's easily damaged. Amazon seems to have used many layers over this dish's underlying iron, though. So we'll keep the dish. Very attractive unit, but smaller than advertised.

Tiny!

It literally fits in my hand & like our former president, I don’t have large hands. I do think this is cute though, it’s a mini version of my larger Dutch oven. I haven’t decided what I can use it for, maybe I’ll keep salt in it.

Tiny but very useful.

I like to experiment in the kitchen and I needed a dutch oven. I stumbled on this item and gave it a shot. I've used it for trying out micro recipes. Something of a lost art since it seems very few people can divide for ingredients. So far it's worked great for bread and stews. I even tried a chicken heart and veggie pie recipe I found in a very old cook book. It worked great and I would have never tried it on a full sized pie.. To much chance I'd hate it. Summation: Well worth the money.

Adorable AND Functional

This cute enamel covered cast-iron cooker does an excellent job of roasting garlic cloves absolutely love it very happy. I got it common. And it’s very well-made yes.

Good, single portion pot

This is a perfect little pot for cooking single portions of cottage pie, hotpot, corned beef hash or anything with an egg cracked open on top and baked in the oven. I am getting back into cooking big time and having lots of little pots for individual portions is great as it makes presentation of concocted dishes so much easier and, as these are made of cast iron and have individual lids, the contents stay hot whilst everyone gathers around. They are obviously like Le Creuset pots and enamelled inside and outside in much the same sway, but come in at a fraction of the rrp. Quality is good, albeit not as finessed as the alternative, with rough edges at the rim and what appears to be a thinner enamel coating. But they still work well for cooking and most people don’t look that closely at the finish as they will, hopefully, be more interested in what is inside. The exterior enamel is graduated in colour and looks interesting as well as giving an ‘antique’ look; inside it is plain cream with the rim exposing the cast iron. The lid, similarly glazed, fits reasonably well, albeit slightly rocky where the rim is pitted. Hand wash only to preserve the look of the enamel - dishwashing is not recommended and, although I have done that with Le Creuset in the past, it came at the expense of dulling the enamel. These are good for their rrp and an alternative to Le Creuset that should stand up to cursory inspection from guests tucking into their individual one-pot meal.

Really nice looking lovely small pot

Small pot ideal for a small portion of food, they match my other brand pots really well. seem good quality, i haven't used it yet. They came packaged very well in double box no damage on transit. Definitely recommend this product

Bought this product to make casserole for one seemed ideal by the look at the picture when delivered so small don’t know what l can cook in it even one potato would not fit it is a laugh

Read the specs first

My own fault for not reading the specs as this fits in the palm of my hand and cannot be used for anything except maybe a cup cake. Considering the price, I was expecting at least a usable size. However, it was my mistake for not paying attention so I kept it and use it for decoration beside the identical regular sized one I bought later. It’s an amusing talking point, at least.
