PERFECT! WORKS!! use it in our stable. Its almost a game to see how fast the line fills up. Installing it pretty easy anyone can do it. but wear a pair of gloves! The rope works because of how sticky it is. which means installing it was a little less than fun but so worth it.

Barn flies
Wow! Started collecting flies as soon as it was put up! Easy to put up, have 4 lengths in 60 foot barn, highly recommend

We set this up in my MIL's barn, her poor horse was getting bitten by horseflies so bad that her belly had all kinds of sores and scabs. My MIL had tried all kinds of remedies, short of spraying a strong pesticide (she doesn't want all the chemical toxins around). We picked a central spot in the barn, with decent air flow, down the middle of the aisle between stalls. We hung this up - didn't take that long, really, if you're even a little handy and have tools around - and seriously, this tape is STICKY. SO STICKY. There were a few thin strands of glue just dripping off the tape (so don't hang it IN the stalls!), and within an hour we had a dozen giant horse flies (plus a small assortment of other bugs). We were ecstatic. Within 3 hours, the tape was covered - somebody averaged out 8 per foot. It was crazy! We went ahead and cranked the fly tape around, exposing fresh tape to start again. And let me say being able to easily crank over to new tape and have it roll up the old is worth the money right there!! Was soooooooo nice to be able to do, didn't get any sticky on us, took only a minute, didn't have to deal with throwing feet and feet of nasty sticky bugs away, a beautiful thing.

Catches flies
It's really sticky so running the tape for the first time is a little tricky, but after that it's easy. It catches flies like crazy. It starts working immediately and the tape retains it's stickiness. We purchased a second one because it was catching so many flies that we had to reel it in about every 2 weeks because it got full that quick.

The best!
The flies were so bad in our barn! They were all you could hear when you went in. We had tried all kinds of other fly control measures and we would not use any kind of poison. Then I saw one of these advertised and decided to try it. I am so glad I did! What a difference a couple days made. We. Will be purchasing refills in the future. We are sold on this product! Best way to control fly populations. Users should know that when they get to the end of the reel that the tape is not tied or fastened in any way and can peel itself loose. Still that doesn't take even a fraction of a star away from my rating.

So Awesome
The media could not be loaded. I had never heard of this fly reel until a friend told me about it. I was trying the irish spring soap method and it was not working well. I'm so glad we bought this! We caught so many flies the first week it pulled the rope down about 2 ft! The foy population is way down now. I would recommend this to anyone who has a barn or porch with a fly problem!

Does the job
I have bought six of these (for me and other people) so far so its safe to say they work really well and are fairly easy to assemble. I previously used the hanging sticky tapes which got very annoying when I had to change them daily. I like that I can just keep winding up the sticky tape till its at its end and easy enough to slide off and a new one on. Even when they are hung pretty high (the ones I have bought are used with horses and cattle so they are kept out of reach) they catch a large amount of flies.

Amazing! It works!
Mr sticky is amazing. It is crazy and disgusting how many flies it traps in my two horse's stalls. Manure is scooped daily and I use fly predators as well. Unfortunately my neighbors upwind have cows and that has added to my fly load. So Mr sticky is a welcome addition to my fly elimination arsenal!
