Comfortable sole, but have to break them in first!!!

The sole was comfty but the surrounding edges were so uncomfortable. Especially the back of the shoe touching the back of your ankles. Be prepared to wear a banaid or no show liner socks to protect your skin bc it WILL scratch and open. Overall Clarks are very well done shoes and soles are very good quality. I think for this show though, you definitely have to break them in. I’m usually 7.5 in women size but got these in 8, bc I knew the sole would take a little bit more space inside of shoe. Shoe is a little barge but not so uncomfortable.

Pinch tops of feet, red indentations

I have bought other Clark shoes before and absolutely love them. These, however, pinch and made indentations into the top parts of my feet. The first day I received them in the mail, I wore them around for five minutes and I had deep, red indentations and I knew if I wore them any longer my feet would blister. So I thought I need to just “break them in.” I wore socks with them, kept them on my feet while laying on the couch, and even went to the extreme of putting padding into the front of the shoe for two solid days to try to give them a little bit of a stretch. None of this helped. I’ve returned them and am looking for a different Clark’s pair. I tried really hard to keep these, I adored them! They fit really snug, which is what I like in dress shoes but the pinching and indentations were not worth keeping. I ordered a 9.5 and all my dress shoes are either a 9 or 9.5. The size itself fit perfectly and I would have loved it, minus the pain on the tops of my feet after five minutes of wearing the shoes on multiple attempts.

Disappointed!

I love Clark Shoes! They are comfortable, beautiful and worth the money. Yet, when bought online there is not warranty they will fit, and exchanging them rises the price of the product. So, I kept my two too small pair of beautiful Clark's and gave them to my sister who loved them! Good deal for your money, great quality of product, inaccurate only sizing chart!

The shoes are long and narrow.

The shoes are long and narrow. Although not narrow enough to hurt my somewhat wide foot in front. They are also high in the back and hit the bottom of my ankle. When I tried my regular size, there was a space between the back of the shoe and my foot they were totally falling off at the heal. They also really hit the ankle a lot. I then ordered half a size down and the heal was fine, but still hit my ankle on one foot. The sole of the shoe is soft and the bottom is almost like rubber and very comfortable. It's sad because I love the look and color of the shoe. They are very nice and fancy and the aubergine color seems like it would go well with jean, brown, navy, black. I'm also worried the front shiny part of the shoe won't hold up (as was mentioned in another review). Oh well....I'll keep looking.

Run long

These look great, but I'll be returning them. I ordered a 7.5 US, which is exactly what I got, but there is about an inch in front of my toes still. This is my typical size, I didn't just randomly choose a number. These just run really long. Other than that they are comfortable and look good.

Cute shoe but a little snug near the toes.

A cute shoe but caused a blister near the toe on one of the shoes. Seems to fit a little tighter than most Clark shoes. I am keeping the shoe as I think this can be remedied with a little stretching. If possible I would rate these shoes 3 1/2 stars due to the aforementioned discomfort.

A little tight, even the wide width.

The shoe are nice and I like the thicker sole. They are comfortable for the most part, but sometimes hurt the sides of my feet. It is probably how my feet are shaped, but if I have to stand in them along time they aren't quite as comfortable. They have broken in some and much better than when I first wore them. Still pleased with the purchase and they seem like they will last a while.

LOVE these shoes

LOVE these shoes!! Not only are they extremely comfortable but they look great as well. As for the Aubergine colour, it works with all my dess pants - black, navy and grey.
