So, let’s remember to be realistic - this belt is OK, but an improvement could be made - this particular belt flattens more than it cups and supports - granted, a well-trained and maintained dancer barely needs a dance belt and et c. If we went with cup sizes, this would be a trainer, maybe, or an A - I am not suggesting the return of a codpiece or what it supposedly suggests, but the belt would wear (i.e. feel) more comfortable if it accommodated all that was going to be packed in there, in a suitable volume, and not more brutally, by compression against the lower abdomen. Certainly, One could stitch in a narrow approx 3” X 1” a vertical, diamond-shaped panel, long on top, short on the lower side, a shape like a segment of a starburst ray, an elongated diamond shape, <>, modified to fit the above description. If only this belt had a bit of such a dart/insert (or whatever it might be more correctly called) and thus formed more of a supportive pouch rather than a flat panel, but of course that might be considered more for modern dance rather than the classical ballet which, as we all know, never, never deals with anything that admits to our natural anatomy and passions, nor where they spring from, Romeo and Juliet be darned. I’ve worn this belt before, at least about 30 years ago. Some might argue ‘why tinker with perfection’, but myself, I wonder why they haven’t figured this out yet and do not at least offer an option - to me it is obvious they do not wear their own product enough. And Yes, I suspected as much, but needed a product, and also will probably make the alteration I propose. I just don’t see why I should have to pay this price. Oh yes, and when the elastic fades, as it will, one tends to hang out of the sides, but until then, you just feel a little “pressed”, and you mustn’t mistake that vague sensation for indigestion, or heart attack, for us older guys who still do something that needs such as this.
