Very nice slippers!

I'm not sure if it was because my left foot was broken last year that it's more sensitive, but it felt like the fur on the insole of the left slipper wasn't even and felt uncomfortable for me. I bought two pairs and they both felt like that. However, if the left slipper felt like the right slipper, I definitely would have kept them. They have nice quality, real shearling on all sides including the insole. The indoor/outdoor bottom felt sturdy yet flexible and was very comfortable. They were a true black suede exterior. I like that they did not have any seems over the front and that the sides could be folded up. They were just what I was looking for and are very nice looking slippers. One caution is that they are tapered a little flat towards the tip of the toes. Otherwise, they're very, very nice slippers, and I regret having to send mine back. I originally looked at UGGs, but I didn't like how I could feel every single thing I stepped on when I tried them on. Then I tried Lands’ End, but I had the same problem with the left slipper, so it's probably my increase sensitivity that's the problem. I came across this brand when I did some research of product reviews, and this brand was highly recommended. Aside from the flat toe tapering, which may cause you to size up, these seemed like extremely nice slippers. Boo hoo for me. Maybe next year my foot will be normal, and I can try these slippers again then.

Terrific slipper at an awesome price!

I take a Wide and had almost given up ever finding a sheepskin slipper in a Wide width at any price, especially with and indoor/outdoor sole. This one had everything and at a terrific price as well! I am thrilled. I bought two pairs.

Consider sizes

Really nice but a little tight. Probably need the half size up but only run in whole sizes. Super comfy and soft.

These slippers are so great, my family members keep stealing them from me!

I’ve now purchased five (!) pairs of these Old Friend Slippers within the past three years...not because they wear out, but because they are so cozy and well made that my daughters keep “borrowing” them and then never giving them back! I’ve gotten them in all three colors so now we can tell each other’s slippers apart. The real sheepskin is very thick and soft, the suede is high quality and stain-resistant, and the rubber sole is sturdy and tough. The sole comes up high enough to handle the wet ground and even puddles — perfect for going outside to grab the newspaper or the mail on a cold wet morning. I tend to be hard on my slippers by wearing them while I’m puttering outside; these slippers never wear out. (They’re so cozy, I’ve even caught myself wearing these to Starbucks, forgetting I still had slippers on.) And unlike other slippers I’ve tried, the fleece lining of these slippers stays soft and plush and doesn’t get mashed down over time. Also, these slippers are great year-round. They’re really warm in the winter, but somehow they’re not too hot in the summer. I’ve spilled water, food and other things on the suede, but the it doesn’t seem to stain. And I didn’t pre-treat the suede with stain guard...go figure. Size-wise, they run a little bit on the small size. If you’re normally a half-size, I’d recommend going up a size. (Ex: if you’re usually a size 7.5, get the 8.) These slippers cost a bit more than most slippers but they are worth every penny. They are made with high-quality materials and are very well made. They will last for years — unless you’re like me and someone “borrows” them.

Might be great, but it doesn’t matter if you can’t get it on your foot.

Purchased these slippers as a gift for someone who wears an 8/8.5. I ordered a 9W just to be safe and figured it was slippers so if they were a bit big that wasn’t a big deal. Imagine my surprise when she opened them at Christmas and couldn’t even get them on her foot! The opening at the top is so narrow she could let even get her foot in without a struggle so I returned them. The size of the actual slipper was fine, but nobody wants to have to struggle to get their slippers on. Disappointing.

Not the same quality as previous pair from Old Friend!

Very disappointed. Workmanship? These slippers used to be top of the line, unfortunately no longer! Most likely will be returning for this very reason, :( Good Bye Old Friend!

Not the old friend I remember.

The slippers have really stretched out since I got them (only months now) and I haven't worn them that much. The lamb is pretty thin and burns my feet when wearing. Not anything like what they were like. Pricey! Should have bought from Costco and forget the brand name!

My favorite slippers.

Genuine sheepskin. Warm and comfy. Nice soles for a quick trip outside. A little big but fine for shuffling around the house in.
