Beginner ISUP Friendly

These floaters are incredible, when I say I face dove into the water SEVERAL times at a high rate of speed and these things didn’t budge I mean it. My glasses not once got knocked from my face despite my constant lack of stability trying out my ISUP. Comfortable for wear both regular and crashing. The color is bright which I love. The only down fall is the straps could be a bit longer but I’m glad they’re not as it would likely get caught on my multiple trips into the water.

Perfect float for sunglasses

I ordered this for our beach trip on Spring Break. The color is very bright, which makes it easy to keep up with. I have expensive sunglasses that I don’t want to lose, and this float performed flawlessly. I tested it to see if it was botany enough to keep my glasses afloat, and it passed with flying colors. I like that they have optional colors to choose from.

bought these for my son for our vacation in florida. they are very comfortable and worked perfectly. glasses floated in the sea and pool.

Nice but attracts bees, wasps, other bugs

This color (bright yellow) makes it easier to spot glasses if they fall into the water, but it also attracts many insects while you just walk with this thing around your neck or head. Plus it gets dirty very easily. Decent product overall, but make sure to buy a non-bright colored one (black is best).

Disappointed

The straps didn’t stay on my glasses even though the glass wings were fairly wide. Then, when I pushed the straps further up the wings in order to secure them better, I realized that the straps are much shorter than the others I own. Now they didn’t fit comfortably on my head and neck! So…I am greatly disappointed!!

Great for watersports!!

My husband and I live on a lake and ride our Sea Doos A LOT. Not long after we started riding, I did a drive-by to splash him and I blew his Ray Ban's right off his face (and into a watery grave since we didn't use these Chums yet). That was a bummer. We got these floating Chums the next week and we haven't ridden without them since. I see several people mention that they should be longer, but for our purpose they are the ideal length. If they were longer they'd be rubbing/bouncing on the backs of our necks when we ride. As is, they fit to where they really don't do that. I have a normal-sized head, but my husband has a big noggin (had to special order his football helmets in college) and the Chums fit great on both of us. The biggest hurdle with these is getting the darned things ON the sunglasses. The ends that go over the sides/end of the sunglasses are extremely small and fit very tightly. However, once they're on they don't slip... ever. We have glasses dedicated to watersports and leave the Chums on them so it's a pretty easy process. These would be a pain if you had to take them on and off though. I am buying my second set now - getting brighter colors. The first ones I got were black (all that was available at the time) but having them colored would make them a little easier to see. The only time they come off our heads is when we jump or fall off into the water. They do a great job of floating and have saved us lots of $$ replacing sunglasses. Highly recommended if you are extremely active on the water. It's a huge bummer when you're out having fun and lose your sunglasses (blinded). These pretty much make that something you don't have to worry about!

Small heads only

I like this for myself, but as other reviewers have said it will not work for someone with a large head. I am a female with a small head and it's about perfect but I would even like it to have another 1/2 inch on each side. Also will only hold onto glasses with larger arms. Thin arms will slide right out since there isn't enough length to push the Chums farther up on the arms.

Just the job

When swimming in the sea or pool in really bright sunshine then wearing your shades or specs is not only comfortable you can see whats happening !, (I have prescription lens)if the normal glasses on chain retainer was used if they became off for any reason then down they would go, these Chums do the opposite they float with your specs intact, I tried them in the sea, mildly rough conditions in Cyprus and in the pool with no risk to losing my vision. They come in various colours so they will not go un-noticed if they come off. easy to attatch to the glasses arms and secure. A good idea and they work.

Works well!

Bought this for my son. He has prescription googled but doesn't like wearing them, much prefers his glasses, so this was a perfect solution!

These don't grip well, lost my $650 Prescription sunglasses

I put these on my $650 prescription sunglasses so that I wouldn't lose them. They were Oakley frames designed so in case of impact, the arm can snap off but nothing gets broken as there isn't a hinge pin. I was kitesurfing and an impact with the helmet caused the hinge and arm to snap off. Unfortunately, when I recovered the Chums, the arm with the frames still connected had slipped out and went to the lake bottom. All the Chums kept was the arm without the frame, because the inside of the chums is not very grippy. They performed poorly due to lack of grip and that cost me a lot of money. garbage! In the future I had to use the chums but put on a tie grip very tightly so it can not slip off of the arm.

Does not work.

So, these are terrible. The ends are not rubber, nor any material that will allow tour glasses to fit snug. Your glasses will literally fall out of these with little effort. Im fact... they will not float your glasses, your sunglasses will fall out of them under their own weight. I have no idea how people have written positive reviews of these things. Other cheaper packs on Amazon work great and have no issues. I ended up purchasing another brand. These ones however are brutal.

Not as good as I thought they would be

They are bulky which I understand I don't wear these all the time only when on the boat. So two times on the boat and I noticed the end was split on one end. Only 1/8th of inch but that's the start soon 1/4 or worse glasses fall off and sink like well glasses. They are comfortable when wearing but you leave them on say if you ride motorcycle as they are to big for helmet. If they get the end coming apart thing under control they will be great for what they are intended to do. I can't see both straps falling off glasses at same time so I think they would still float the glasses. And if they fell in the water from cockpit or edge of boat they would float. So I will keep using and try to glue it back together.
