Not my favorite piece by Christopher
I like Mr knights furniture usually because it's very original, usually real wood and comes assembled. This, however, was nothing like the other pieces I have from their collection. For one you need to assemble it, and prepare to spend several hours fighting with this thing, especially if you're doing it by yourself. Unlike my other pieces by Christopher, this is simply particle board, made in China, and of course many of the holes didn't align properly.. you'll definitely need your own screw drivers, possibly a power drill, and a lot of patience. Overall once I finally got it all put together.. (mind you I was doing it myself, however it took roughly 3 hours in total.) Again, if things were as stated in the instructions, aligned and drilled properly, I'm sure it would have been easier. Ultimately I wouldn't buy this again. Yes, it does look OK, but it's particle board, not real wood and that's easily discernable. I highly recommend you enlist the help of a friend for assembly, and definitely don't take the hardware out of the packages like they instruct.. there are tons of pieces and you'll Ultimately just get confused. The plastic bags they come in have the corresponding numbers on them and without those you'll be lost. For the price this was Ultimately disappointing. If this sold for $125 or less, it might be worth it.. but for the material you get, the frustrating struggle of assembly, missdrilled holes, things not lining up etc, it's just not worth it. He has a lot of other pieces that are made with real wood and come assembled, that look much nicer. I'd highly recommend that if you do buy this, go through all the parts and make sure everything is there before you discard the box.

Finish was terrible
We have another cabinet just like this one and we think it’s great. I started to put this one together and noticed all the bad chips in the finish and all were spaced the same. I told my wife about and at first she thought it was supposed to be that way. Looking at our first one I would say not.

I Love it’
Looks great. Very heavy/sturdy. Some reviewers said that it took 30 minutes to assemble. There is no way that happened, even with an electric screwdriver. I’m fairly good at doing this kind of thing, used a manual screwdriver, and it took me 2.5 hours.

Pretty, yet not without issues
Sooo, I purchased 2 of these to sit side by side. Although I ordered them at the same time, one arrived on a Monday and the other one arrived on a Saturday. The first one was a nightmare to put together as the pieces were not cut properly for the back of the cabinet. Also the nails almost went through the top of the cabinet leaving three little bumps on the brown wood talk. I ended up getting a discount because the pieces were not cut right although we ended up making them work after several hours of trying. The second one arrived then we put it together in 45 minutes based on the experience with the first one. Although they look beautiful they are not good quality. The instructions are pretty straightforward if all the pieces are sized properly and able to fit in their designated spots. You will want to have plenty of patience if you order these. They are quite pretty and are definitely functional once all put together. You know that old adage, you get what you pay for! I was looking for something unique in white and distressed for a farmhouse family room and the other things I saw were much more expensive.

Beautiful Cabinet easy to assemble
The Cabinet with Faux Wood Overlay, Distressed White / Brown arrived in good shape and very well packed. Assembly was easy because I followed the directions. Great directions, written step by step explanations, pictures and numbering - no complaints. (I saw other reviews stating the directions were by number/picture only.) There were 19 plastic bags, all numbered with the screws and hardware required for assembly. The great thing is the company included extra screws and dowels in each bag! Fortunately we didn't lose any but some are quite small and could be lost during assembly. Not a problem we had extras if that accidentally happened. The quality of the cabinet is sturdy, all the pre-drilled holes lined up so the finished product works well (doors) and line up perfectly. I suggest taking your time to assemble and you'll have a beautiful cabinet when completed. No I don't work for the company - I simply love the cabinet!

Very nice
They claim it is a 30-minute assembly project, but that is far from the truth. It took me The instructions are a bit goofy, it does need to be glued, holes need pre-drilling, and I replaced the handles to upgrade the unit. The result is that I love this cabinet but it took some work to assemble, about 1.5 hrs with trips to the garage for glue, drill bit and drill. I would suggest using a lot of glue on the joints. My unit is very solid with glue. I am sure that without the glue it would have been a bit wobbly. I love it.

Impressed
I am actually impressed by how much I like this cabinet. It came a day earlier than expected, and was delivered on a Sunday which was a surprise. I was able to put it together by myself in about 2 hours, and I am not good at doing stuff like this. I did the hinge part wrong the first time, and had to unscrew them and re-do, but other than that it was fairly easy. It is very solid and sturdy, and the metal on the doors is really cute. I wish the wooden top was more "antique-ish" looking, but over-all it is great for the price.
