Loosen the screw

The tensioning screw controls how fast/slow the door closes. After installing this product, my door wouldn’t close. I had to loosen the tensioning screw to release the pressure and allow the door to close. After making the easy adjustment, it closes fine now.

Highly recommend!! Great soft and smooth closer

I've tried other product who ended up shutting the door in very last second of closing. This one actually close the door without banging when the door finishes closing. It's been used daily on our kitchen door for the past a few months with no problems including on some days with very high wind. I'm very happy with the smoothness of the operation. Highly recommend!!

Nice, sturdy product

After having two of the "Amazon's Choice" door closer (Wright) fail within hours of installation I purchased one of these. Big difference in quality and strength. Easy to install and works great.

Took me awhile to find this one with the little spring on the end but glad I kept searching as this was a direct replacement on my storm door.

Horrible it bent the same place all my other light duty ones bent for being heavy duty it bent fast

Direct replacement for my failed one. Used on a heavy screen door. Closes smooth every time and was easy to change the closing speed

Don't bother.

I was very disappointed when I opened the box on its arrival. The packaging was open and parts missing. I couldn't be bothered in sending it back just fitted it to the old fittings on storm door. Not even worth one star but will have to I suppose.
