Great Look and Fit

This fits me perfectly in all the right places. I love this jacket but I am glad that I sized up one because it fits perfectly. I would suggest going up one size if you want a little room and to not be form fitting.

Great for the price.

This rain jacket (I bought the purple because it was cheaper) arrived today. Lightweight, but with a mesh lining and vents underarm and at the front. Toggle drawstrings for hood and bottom of jacket. Zippered side pockets. Velcro adjustments at the wrist. I am short and pudgy, so I ordered a Large in order to layer underneath. Perfect fit. I wanted a jacket that wouldn't take up much room in my suitcase and this is it. I cannot yet say if it is really waterproof, but the tag says it is. If you have long arms, this jacket may not be for you. The color is not a bright purple, but more of an eggplant.

Very Good Rain Jacket & High Visibility

This jacket replaces the same model that I had for years and really liked. The older one lasted a long time, was excellent in all ways, packed well for trips, could be worn alone or over a thin warm layer. Highly recommend Charles River rain jacket.

I love the design!

It's a beautiful jacket, not as light as I expected but fits perfect! I'm 5.4" size medium. I can wear it with jeans, shorts or leggings, and it would look just nice. I love it for the price!

Rain jacket by Charles River

The jacket was exactly what I expected because I had one that lasted 7 years. The packaging was horrible and the jacket is very wrinkled and creased.

Love this jacket!

Need a rain jacket that's heavier than a windbreaker but lighter than a parka? This is the jacket for you! Super cute and fits perfectly with a bit of extra room for a fleece top. Adjustable cuffs, two-way zip, and drawstrings with cord locks at the bottom and hood. Vented at the chest so you don't sweat to death. Only quibble is that the polyester mesh lining smelled funny on arrival. I let it air out for a day or two, and it's fine. Very pleased with this purchase!

Charles River Raincoat

The Charles Rive apparel is the best. I am purchasing this raincoat to replace the one I have had for over 8 years now. The quality is outstanding. I have used this raincoat as a windbreaker and and a raincoat. It keeps you totally dry. I have never gotten wet with this raincoat. And as far as windbreaker, I will layer under it and put on my Northface jacket under it and am totally warm. This jacket is a win/win for all needs.

Great rain/windbreaker jacket

A real sharp looking jacket! Love the reflective safety features as well as the mesh inner lining and soft felt like pockets! Held up very well during a rain storm; the jacket kept me super dry! It does fit a little on the big side, BUT by no means too big! A comfortable amount of extra room that allows you to wear a thick sweater underneath and yet still have good movement throughout without feeling fitted! I'm 5'5 and usually wear a Large so I ordered a large; it fits perfect and falls just under my back side. ***Only wish there was an option for a longer one that hits around the knee area for more coverage for sideways rain ????. Over all I'm very happy with my purchase so much so that I bought one for my whole fam-jam as christmas gifts! **Pictures are of my Husbands Men (L), my Women's (L) my Daughter's women's (M)

Seriously recommended, great value wet weather style

I am so pleased to have been able to buy this on Amazon UK, knocking out the inconvenience of my cousins in New England having to buy and post. I had bought one of these jackets during a rainstorm in Provincetown, Cape Cod, about 3 years ago, slightly older style and a more mustard yellow. I have worn the jacket to death in London and on travels and the shoulder seam had torn slightly and the fabric had degraded slightly at the crook of one arm, affecting the waterproof qualities. Delivery was quick and the purpose for which the jacket was bought, a trip to Thailand in the wet season, has not been tested because it did not rain there once! However, it will get plenty of use here in the UK and I am just about to consign its predecessor to the bin.

well made

Very well made and functional. I’m 5.2” and 92 lb , ordered an extra small, still a bit big for me even i wear a sweater underneath . Color is a bit different from the picture but still looks very nice.

Recommended.

This fit a little large (it's quite long, basically covers your butt, and is a little wide too), though that's practical for a raincoat. The colour was really nice (I got the pink), and as pictured. (P.S. Check the prices of the different colours: when I bought mine the black, red and pink were on sale but the others weren't). There's a mesh lining in the inside of the main part of the coat, and a different material inside the sleeves which makes it easy to put on and more comfortable. The reflective line at the front is actually a flap over an air vent. One thing I couldn't tell till I received it is that the pockets are lined with a fuzzy material, which makes them quite cozy for your hands. I've worn this in the rain a few times and it seems to be completely rainproof (something that should be a granted with a raincoat, but is surprisingly rare under a $100). I bought this on sale for about $50, and at that price it was the cheapest lined and actually rainproof raincoat I could find on Amazon. It's well worth the full price of $70 though. The zipper is two-way and seems good quality. The hood is just big enough to fit over a big head with a big ponytail in the back. Overall the raincoat seems like it will last a long time, and I'm very happy with it! Recommended.
