Hood sprayer for the money

As mentioned in multiple reviews, the drain did leak the first time I filled with water. Two minutes and a little pipe tape and it solved the issue. This is a cheaper sprayer not marketed to be the absolute best professional product. But if your like me and just need something to use occasionally on your lease or property it’s a great deal for the price point. Everything else worked fantastic.

Great product partially let down by a cheap part

Pros: lightweight, powerful motor, good spray distance, nice hose length, wiring kit is included Cons: cheap, needlessly complex drain cap leaks; turned what should have been a clean, easy job into a leaky mess The drain cap is worthless. It's impossible to get it to stop leaking unless you use channel-lock pliers to tighten it. When maximum hand-tight, it leaks a steady stream of chemicals. I was spraying weed-killing glyphosate, and luckily none of it leaked onto the nice areas of my lawn before I could drive somewhere safe. I temporarily stopped the leaking by replacing the cap with a brass garden hose ball valve, but I am going to have to go buy a proper cap that doesn't leak. Side note: Amazon suggested buying the alligator clip switched power lead kit separately, but that kit is included with the unit. I will have to return the unneeded extra wiring kit.

Missing the sprayer wand

There was not sprayer wand in the box. Got this for my birthday so it was past the 30 days to return. Called Chapin and they put a wand in the mail that day.

Poor Quality Control

I have 14 acres of property requiring significant weed control. I have had many of these ATV mounted sprayers over the years. This one is the worst I've ever bought. The unit came with the tank filled with plastic shavings including the round piece that was machined out to make the lid opening. The drain plug has misaligned threads making it impossible to properly secure the drain plug ... it leaks terribly. The pump connections also leak no matter how tight you make them. The pump itself is undersized so with the leaks it sprays only about six feet. I plan on gluing the drain shut permanently and transferring the pump and hoses from an old tank and try to get this working. Spend a few dollars more and buy another company's tank sprayer because this one is a waste of money.

Excellent machine

This sprayer works great. Purchased it to spray weeds on the ranch and use as a water source when burning brush piles. If ever breaks I would purchase again.

Great Value for the Money!

After reading several reviews on this, I decided to pull the trigger since it was considerably cheaper than most other spot sprayers in the 25-gallon size. It came with everything in place and I've tested it out with no issues. The wand seems to be pretty sturdy and the length of hose supplied is way more than adequate. The pump puts out plenty of pressure and it even has an On/Off switch that allows the pump to run only when you pull the trigger to spray. The tank seems to be really sturdy as well and it mounts just fine on my 4-wheeler. Like I said, I feel like I got an excellent sprayer for the $119 I paid versus almost $200 for the same one by another seller. If you're looking for a 25-gallon sprayer, this one will get you what you need for way less money!

Sturdy, doesn’t leak, GREAT SPRAY!

Sprays like no other! I’m a small 5’2 female and it’s easy to use, and really has a great spray on it. It’s hard for me to spray an entire property with everything from bug spray, to spray for the garden, and roundup, it fits right onto a four wheeler or side by side for transport! No leaking and made well, I expect it to last for a good long while!!!

Better then expected

Chaplin 25 gallon spray tank

Arrived unscathed. All necessary parts were included. I’m planning to use it as a nurse tank for my RV. (I’m tired of carrying 5 gallon jugs to refill my water supply).

No surprises - this sprayer does everything we hoped it would.

When empty the sprayer is very light, so easily placed in our garden cart, along with a car battery to power it. The pump power provides a consistent spray and the spray nozzle adjusts to an excellent spray pattern. This unit is infinitely better than using a small hand-held sprayer.
