Heavy/worked great

The scissors are big and bulky but definitely get the job done. Please be aware of the weight. We used them for heavy upholstery material and they worked great. Would repurchase for the thicker items.

Sturdy and sharp

Im a leatherworker and these cut right thru heavy 8 ounce leather ( about 1/8) thick. They also cut thread perfectly

Really BIG for small hands

I was excited to get these as I do some occasional leather work and ordinary scissors don’t cut it. (Yes, pun intended). However, these puppies are 12 inches long, and yes, the description says that. You just don’t realize how long 12 inches is until you hold these. Very heavy and my hands just couldn’t use them. I am female with medium sized hands and I thought they would be ok, but not. No leverage. I couldn’t open them wide enough to actually use them. Too bad as I really like this brand. It was like using a pair of garden shears and I would have needed to use both hands. Sadly, I returned them for a similar product of 9 inches. All better now. Bottom line: bigger hands are better.

Large heavy duty

I work at a Jo Ann fabric store and cut fabric all day. These are the best for me. I’m male and have larger hands than the women in the store. These fit me just fine and will cut whatever you put in front of them. The heavier the fabric the better. I love them.

Holy c***!

In a world where just buying something that isn't "cheap plastic garbage" is getting harder, these were quite the pleasant surprise. Large, heavy, ruthlessly sharp. If you can cut whatever it is you are trying to cut with these scissors, you probably need to move on to power tools. Just... dang! They're awesome. I've got big-ish hands, and I can fit four fingers without too much trouble. They make mincemeat of heavy cardboard all the way to the tips. They are MUCH bigger than I thought they would be... the 10" is not overall. It is just the blades. But, hey, I'm happy with that result. Get some. You need these in your kitchen drawer. You know, for cutting up boxes, fighting giant ogres, and of course, for your wife to shear fabric.

Like meeting an old friend

I carry a pair like this for years working in an textile warehouse , and then with my own retail fabric shop and custom drapery and upholstery business many years ago! I still play around with doing some sewing and horse blankets repairs. Not a better pair of scissors made! They will take years of hard work , they hold they edge well and can be re-sharpen a lot!

Big Heavy Solid and worth every penny

Amazing, these are just the ticket for leather and canvas. Anyone who works on heavy tarps, or light leather will be very well served with this set of scissors. Very heavy duty not small or lightweight in any measure, a serious set for someone who truly needs a bomb proof pair of scissors, this pair is right handed only though.

Very good product. The edges were a little rough upon delivery but came up to standard with a small amount of work on my stones. They were adjusted a bit too tight out of the box, but take an adjustment easily and hold it well. I have extra large hands and can very comfortably fit three fingers in the lower handle. Four fingers will fit but that is a little cramped. The thumb hole is very generous. They are very large. Wiss makes good products so I am confident they will hold an edge well, and last a long time with reasonable care.

Bloody great shears for serious cutting.

Do you have a lot of stuff to cut and dollar store scissors just won't do? Well, these are the opposite of dollar store scissors. They'll cost you more, but the first time you use them you'll know where your money is going. Plus, you can get these sharpened, so they're also possibly the last pair of scissors you'll ever buy.

Bought these for work as we do alot of acoustic carpet and vinyl and they are amazing. Very sharp, tip cuts are perfect and handle is ergonomic. Great scissors

wiss 22wn carpet shears

They wore perfect for cutting the underpad for my carpet as it was very thick..
