Great value. Good starter kit.
Short Version: You absolutely get what you pay for, if you're looking for a high end rod/reel, go spend $100 and get a nice one. This is a 4 star review for me because for $15 it is well worth the money, the rod/reel is very functional but it is definitely no comparison between this and a top of the line rod/ reel, some of the tackle is very poor quality, some is pretty nice. Functional but not the best quality. I paid $15 for the combo package. It is well worth $15. The tackle box contained 2 swedish pimples (one panfish size, one walleye size) a depth finder, a few assorted hooks, 2 split shots, and a slip bobber with line markers. The swedish pimples are pretty good quality- will definitely put those to use. The depth finder is missing a spring and bent- not even functional. I'm sure I will use the hooks at some point, solid turn hooks. The rod/reel is definitely not the best one I've ever used (and the reel is held on by zip ties) but is very functional, reel is smooth and the drag works well. The rod is a bit stiff but for $15 I was definitely not expecting the highest quality. I will be using this mostly in my lightweight fishing, where I throw all my equipment in a couple pails and head out in a sled, and this is perfect for that because if it happens to get banged up in transit, so cheap, no big deal. My only suggestion is that the seller add the note to the page that the equipment you receive may not be the same as shown in the picture.

not bad but something to consider
Not a bad little unit, the little tackle box and the contents are pretty basic so don't expect much, the rod itself seems of decent quality, the reel with line is also okay. My complaint is how the reel attaches by means of a slide over plastic thing with no threads our locking ears other than that it's okay, I plan on putting this in my field kit for a "just in case" situation ... I'd give five stars if they engineered the reel/handle locking situation

Good value, but rod is very stiff.
This is a very heavy action rod for ice fishing. I paid $9 for this combo and the reel alone is worth it. I was expecting a light action rod so as a combo, it is useless to me. The little tackle kit is a nice bonus. It has a slip bobber setup and a depth finder. It also has a chartreuse spoon that looks like a bad knockoff of a Swedish Pimple. This kit would be great for a first-time ice fisherman for the price I paid of $9. As I said, the reel is decent quality. It’s better than the HT Tackle reels they put on their more expensive combos. Currently, the reel is set up on my Berkley Cherry rod and it was well worth the $9. But the rod is sitting in a stack of other rods I will probably never use. It’s just too stiff. But at the price, for a beginner, this would be a decent setup. I can’t really give it a negative review simply for the value. If you don’t want to invest a bunch of money and you’re not sure if ice fishing is your thing, this is perfect. However, if you’ve been doing this a while and you value your equipment, the current price of $15 might be a little steep. If you want a better combo, search “HT Ice rod” and scroll a bit until you find the less expensive ones.

Great starter kit
I only ice fish about 2x a season. This is great if you don't want the hassle and just want to get on the ice. I would recommend replacing the line... but it's not needed.

Works fantastic
I used it for a small amount of ice fishing and no flaws. I am going to use it tjis summer on my tube and see how it does. Should be fun and i will post how it holds up.

Really? 4 and 5 stars people??
I don't know why people are giving this product a 4.5 star rating. First (and this is a pet peeve of mine when it's not listed in the description as "product may vary from picture"), but what I received was nothing like what is pictured in the ad. The pole pictured in the ad actually holds the reel in place, this one does not (at least not without the supplied zip tie). Second, it's supposed to be a medium/heavy pole. I had already looked at the ultralight version of this pole in person a few weeks ago as a buddy has it. I intentionally ordered this combo for the heavier pole. I can tell you after driving to his house tonight that the poles are no different, except that the "medium/heavy" pole is just 3" longer. Last but not least, I received two different products when I ordered the same one (Multispecies combo and Panfish Combo), 27" and 26" respectively. Make sure to check out the photo I included to see what product you will actually be receiving as it does not match the picture.

Well built
reels are extremely well built. I have paid twice the amount for lesser quality

Nice little rod
Haven't used it yet but seems like a well made little rod. Like that it has a reel on it, as many lower priced ice fishing rods do not.

Excellent All-in-one Ice Fishing Package for First Timers
Bought this for my first ice fishing weekend. Comes with rod, reel and a small box of weights, hooks and lures (I used live bait). Easy to unpack and ready to use once you tie off a hook. Only real issue is that the lead weights could be heavier, but I doubled up and things were fine.

Works well
As advertised. Arrived quickly with line already on the spool. Not sure what weight the line is though.

The lure kit was an added bonus - I was overall happy with the purchase
This rod was no different then any other cheaper rod you might buy at a department store. The rod itself served its purpose and the line was okay. The lure kit was an added bonus - I was overall happy with the purchase.
