Colored Chain Changes Cyclist's Life
I was going to leave 4 stars due to the price being double that of comparable non-colored chains. Then I realized, as a capitalist, they should charge whatever people like us are willing to pay for the undeniable benefits of chains that match our bikes... So, instead of docking a star, I am forced to commend them on pricing this chain right at the point that I would still buy it. It's a great chain & if you typically keep yours clean, it definitely looks amazing. It's much more expensive than a non-colored version, but I think everyone would agree with me that the secret to being a faster cyclist & overall life happiness is to pick a bike/cycling clothing color scheme & stick with it religiously. In fact, my brother co-authored this investment banking book best-seller & attributes all of his success to having a red KMC chain: Investment Banking: Valuation, Leveraged Buyouts, and Mergers and Acquisitions After a season of use, I can see the edges of the green paint starting to wear back slightly, but I was expecting this. I keep my shifters well adjusted so the chain doesn't rub against the derailleur. I assume that if this were not the case, the paint would wear faster.

Looks great on the bike and adds just enough performance
The chains look great on my bikes. It is a nice compliment to handlebar tape and the colors of the bikes. I purhcased two of these chains initially because I admit, I was a little skeptical of the price. The chains are both running on SRAM Red eTap setups. I've run KMC chains and SRAM PC22 chains on my drivetrains and they meet, possibly slightly exceeding a SRAM chain. I love the chains which run very smooth but if you don't care about the look and/or quality of your chain, there are better ways to go. I'll definitely be looking at KMC for my next one in a different color.

Lightweight chain with excellent performance and color
The main downside to this chain is the price. Aside from that it is awesome. I really like the color schemes you can get with the chain to match your kit and bike color scheme. The chain is super lightweight and performs great. Another plus is that there is less surface area on the chain for dust and dirt to accumulate. I've heard of heavy riders that can put out a lot of watts breaking this chain but I haven't had the problem at 195 lbs. Dura Ace chains are stronger but weight more. I love my red and black chain as it fits my bike and kit color scheme perfectly.

Great chain.
Put in in aug 2017. Lasted 800-900 miles of xc/single track use with roughly 90-100k vert. Wear is approx. .65-.70 Was installed with a new sram xg 1180 groupset. Was superb and replaced it with the exact same one. I had the gold edtion non-DLC before it. Put 450 miles on it with only 50k vert before it snapped i repaired but snapped again. Wear was at .75-.8. Im equally hard on all my chains i will typically only clean / lube the chain every 3-6 rides with 30-70 miles between intervals. Im 200lbs. This chain never snapped. Just took my the tq i threw at it like a champ.

Smooth Looks and Shifting
Chain looks great. After only one ride, shifting is smooth and pedalling is quiet. Easy to install and is working well on Shimano Dura Ace 9100 grouppo. Replaced a Dura Ace chain that was pretty new and was cheaper than the KMC. I may not have bought if not being bored on quarantine, but I've been considering for a while and am happy with the purchase.

Completely unnecessary and frivolous
Completely unnecessary and frivolous, but it looks so cool on a black and red bike. Color stands up pretty well to wear, and if you're the type to spend over a hundred bucks on a chain for it being colored, you probably keep your chain clean too. Shift quality indistinguishable from any of the big three's 11 speed chains to me. I've used this chain with Campy chorus, a blue version with sram force on my gf's bike, and a green one with sram red 10 speed without any issue.

Don’t even second guess. You want the color, buy the chain
Who cares how durable this chain is; it looks amazing! Got the green. Using on Ultegra 8000 set-up. Quiet, quick shifting, and much lighter than my previous KMC chain. If you like KMC and want to add some color to your machine this is a great FUNCTIONAL way to do it.

This chain is a replacement for the worn chain on my Specialized Creo. After cutting it to length it fit perfectly and rides and shifts well.

Best Chain I've ever owned
amazing chain. already has 250km on it and it rides like the day I put it on the bike. the only downside to such a beautiful chain is that with normal wear and tear the Colors fade or scratch. other than that I highly recommend this chain
