Save yourself some time and buy a few.
Dubbed the Marty Mc Fly. This watch encapsulates everyone's inner nerd and they WILL want one. So far I've bought 4 in black one beige and one red. The extra black ones were gifted to my friends and family so they could stop asking me to order one for them. At this price point its not a big deal financially, but makes a huge statement to gift it to anyone who enjoys watches or nerd culture. Let's be honest, functionality is not this watches strong suite as we all have phones that do it better but as a fashion piece its remarkable. No back light is not an issue for me.

This little watch is something that I have wanted for SO LONG, and I'm glad to say I now happily own one. It's a great little watch that works very well for what it's worth. Its calculator function is very useful for when I need to do some quick math that I just can't do in my head. Or I can do it in my head but a calculator is faster. Features that this watch has... 1. It has dual time, meaning if you push the mode button twice you get a second time (Set to what you want) 2. It features a calculator built in that has basic functions like Addition (+), Subtraction (-), Multiplication (x or ⋅), and Division (÷) It can also do negative numbers. To accomplish this you need to hit the - sign before typing a number, then after typing the number you will do whatever function you want and it should work. 3. It also is water RESISTANT. Not waterproof which means it can get wet with rain or a splash. I don't recommend taking it into the shower even though it should be fine its better to be safe then sorry. 4. Hourly chime. Pretty self explanatory. It can chime at the top of every hour if enabled 5. Alarm. 6. 24h Format. Military time for those who don't know. Things this watch does not have... 1. Back light. Sadly this watch is trash in the dark. Since there is no backlight its impossible to see in darkness.

Une merveille du passé
Achetée pour mon conjoint qui lui aussi est fan de Retour Vers le Futur, il a été heureux de découvrir cette superbe montre Casio dans petite boîte . Il l'a essayé et il l'adore, un plaisir de retrouver ce genre de montre qu'il avait quand il était au collège , une part de nostalgie et de bonheur si présents qu'il ne veut même pas la porter pour ne pas l'abîmer, il a l'a remise sur son petit socle (fournit avec et très très pratique ) et ne veut la mettre que de temps en temps pour l'économiser. je pense même en racheter une deuxième , comme ça si un malheur se produit , il aura toujours cette montre de secours. Bref, une très jolie montre, quasi identique à celle de Mart McFly .. pas chère et très belle, à prendre sans hésiter . Dico subito che, elemento decisivo per me per l'acquisto, è stato il fatto che è l'orologio indossato (come ben saprete già...) dall'attore Bryan Cranston nella serie Breaking-Bad. Detto questo, ritengo che l'acquisto possa essere giustificato anche al netto delle apparizioni dell'orologio sul grande e piccolo schermo (a cui qualcuno, legittimamente, può dare peso "zero", alias fregarsene). Innanzi tutto, perchè è tremendamente evocativo, molto "vintage". Se negli ultimi anni sono tornati di moda i Casio di quando... andavamo a scuola, secondo me pochi modelli sono evocativi come questo. Non dimenticate di attivare il "bip-bip" allo scoccare di ogni ora! A me ricorda quando in classe era un coro di bip-bip quando appunto cambiava l'ora... E questo vi garantisco che è veramente un effetto vintage (oltre che malinconicamente nostalgico, vabbè...) Inoltre, strano ma vero, quel bip-bip orario aiuta a percepire meglio lo scorrere del tempo (si, percepire meglio lo scorrere del tempo) durante le nostre giornate, provare per credere. Inoltre, qui la suoneria (sveglia o, appunto, bip-bip orario) risulta di volume più alto rispetto a quella di altri modelli Casio anche molto blasonati, dove è praticamente inutile (ehi, chi ha detto "5610"?). Questo per esperienza del tutto personale. Vedo che sono disponibili altri orologi Casio "calculator", modelli più recenti ed accattivanti del CA-53, magari hanno anche la luce, ci puoi nuotare, etc e costano pochi euro di più. Ma attenzione perchè si perde l'effetto vintage, la linea del CA-53 ti proietta negli anni 80... pensate bene a cosa state cercando. Secondo, l'orologio è talmente leggero, e con un cinturino così insospettabilmente morbido, che... è come non averlo. I difetti, sono già stati detti: non ha illuminazione, compromettendo la leggibilità in determinate condizioni. E' solo "WR", pertanto accetta solo schizzi d'acqua, non va bene per andarci al mare (che è periodo). Non sono cosine da poco, in effetti. Ma se ti piacciono le auto di quando eri piccolo, facile che ne trovi anche senza vetri elettrici... Concludo dicendo che la spedizione è stata talmente veloce che è come se me lo avessero consegnato negli anni '80!

Orologio acquistato per leggere l'ora ogni tanto durante la giornata, ed effettivamente è quello che fa, segna l'ora. All'arrivo il prodotto si presenta bene : "Piacere, sono prodotto", ed entra in casa. Devo sottolineare una certa tendenza ad essere affettuoso, restando attaccato al polso di chi lo compra. Tra le altre cose ha una calcolatrice ma non ha la luce, ma per quello a casa ho installato vari lampadari ed uso quelli, poi la notte dormo e l'ora non la guardo.

I used to have a Nixon Mission smartwatch that corroded and then was stuck in an endless reboot loop. So after that, I figured smart watches were too advanced for me, so I went retro with the Casio Twincept Databank and i's great. It has dual time, a stopwatch, alarm, tells the date and day of the week, AND (get this) A FRIGGIN' CALCULATOR. If you wear it tightly enough, you can feel your pulse! So it's like a Mission only it costs $15, has a 3 year manufacturer's warranty, and the battery lasts five years with no corroding charging nodes. Doesn't send text messages, but you can write such words as 'BOOBS', 'BOOBIES', 'BEES', and 'SHOE' while you're figuring out how much to tip your waitress. So if you're a man of few words and your friend is right next to you, it's basically the same thing as texting. Sorry smartwatch owners, keep your 2-years-and-it's-obsolete smart watches. This watch went to 1955, then 1985 and then 2015, then 1885 - and it's still cool in 2018.
