Great oversized comforter, cheaper than couples’ therapy!
I love the clean and simple style of this comforter! Country-inspired vibe with a classic plaid design. This was a great value and well worth the price. Here’s my hot take on the pros and cons: PROS: 1) This a high-quality 100% cotton fabric — nice and soft. My husband and I couldn’t stand our scratchy polyester comforter, so we were really on the hunt for another option, and this was the perfect find for us. 2) The mid-weight of this comforter is not too light and not too heavy. Ideal for all seasons. My husband is somehow always hot at night, and I’m apparently a cold-blooded species of lizard who needs to sun myself on a rock regularly to maintain any type of body heat, yet this suits us both. 3) The set comes with two matching pillow shams. Call me a simple gal, but that is all I need to make my bed look nice. I will never understand the need for comforter sets that include 18 decorative pillows you have to throw on the floor every night and rearrange every morning (but maybe that’s just me). 4) Machine washable! 5) Many full/queen comforters are 90x90, whereas this is 96x92. That bit of extra fabric is a huge plus, particularly if you have a bed partner who steals the comforter over to their side in the middle of the night with blatant disregard for you — only to defend themselves the next morning by saying things like “I was asleep the whole time” and “I really don’t remember doing that” and “oh god is this going to come up in couples’ therapy again?” Cons: Just one. Cancel your plans because you’re going to be taking a lot more naps under this comforter. Just kidding, it’s a pandemic, you didn’t have any plans anyway. Stay safe and rest well, y’all.

Such a beautiful comforter
I ordered this because I loves the colors and plaid style. It arrived quickly and once I unpacked, it was very nice. It is lacking softness, but due to some reviews stating theirs shrunk after they washed/dried, I decided not to wash before making my bed with it. It does keep me warm at night (I don't like a heater at night, so it was like 64 degrees... Nice!). I didn't want to experience that because I REALLY love the pattern. It goes really well in my room. I'll update if anything changes after I wash and dry.

Good value
This is a reasonably priced set which looks great. My only dislike is the fabric tends to wrinkle. It still looks good but does not have the smooth finished look I prefer. Perhaps after laundering it will smooth out.

I was sent a clearly used and almost damaged product!
Love the pattern, however it was clearly already opened, used and returned. The comforter was just SHOVED back into the bag, not folded, and a wrinkle mess! I tried washing it and then drying it(as per the directions) and none of the wrinkles came out. K tried just washing and letting air dry, and still none of the wrinkles came out. I’m hoping that having it on the bed, pulled tight, and some use will help get SOME of the wrinkles out! I also noticed that one of the spots that were sticht was pulled and the stichtinf was broken.

So comfy!!!!
So soft & comfy!! This will be too heavy in Summer in the midwest but for the other 9 crap months we have it will be heaven. It’s so soft & cozy! LOVE IT!

Eddie Bauer has terrible customer service
I ordered the Portage Bay King Comforter Set and received only the King Comforter. There were no shams in the package. When I reached out to Eddie Bauer customer support through Amazon there was an indication that they would replace "missing or damaged items." I got disconnected from the first representative, then called back and was told I would receive an email within 24 hours, which did not occur. After 3 days I emailed the company with my concerns. I got an email back asking me to rate my experience with their reply email which I had not received. I told them I had not received a reply to my email and then I finally got a reply that the set was a "licensed product" so I could not get the shams replaced. I needed to return the comforter which we already had used and had no replacement for as we had recently relocated. I sent a reply to the email asking what she meant that the set was a "licensed product," and I got no response. I finally went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought a sheet set for an additional $100 so I could have a finished look to my bed. I am not a contentious person, but I feel like Eddie Bauer cheated me and I lost. If I could have found a pattern I liked as much at Bed Bath and Beyond, I would have returned the used comforter for Eddie Bauer to throw away.

Although nice when you open it, the material is paper thin and has ripped in multiple spots. I’ve had it less than 2 months, wouldn’t recommend
